Dear Knowflakes, As usual, I am announcing another celestial event that will affect all of us, this time it is that Pluto will be going retrograde. It will happen on March 17th, 6:36 PST, and will be at 15 Sagitarius 17 at the time. Ot will turn direct again on August 23rd at 9:06 AM PDT at 12 Sagitarius 36. About 13 hours just before that, at 3:45 AM, Mars will conjunct Pluto, so the effect can be extremely powerful. So, for people who have planets between 12 Sag 36 and 15 Sag 17, or in Gemini, Virgo, or Pisces, there will be a review of what Pluto stands for. In Light and Love Dave

Hi Dave, I thought my Pluto conj. Mercury was over, but now Pluto will get to one degree of my Mercury, does this means the transit is still going on? Love, Tish

Yes Dave, Fortunately I have changed a lot, in fact, I haven't felt so good since many years ago. The pessimism I was carrying is over. I checked but didn't find any other aspect that could be giving me this positive feelings

She DID.. I am sorry I was really confused about the Retrogate stuff.. Because, all the people are talking about how bad it is about the Mercury retrogate, and those who had the their mercury involved in that, They were really scared. So i was just concerned. Take care

Moon position is 7 deg. 41 min. of Pisces Pluto position is 5 deg. 50 min. of Virgo According to a chart I had done. That's my only Pisces, Virgo and no Gemini methinks!? Affecting me good/bad specifically - or not to bother about and just await Venus R - Dave? NB: I am currently a sacrificial lamb it would seem, the fair price of someone's finally managing to get their freedom - dying to know outcome of that - left slaughtered or resurected/benefits - relationships area you know Hanging in their, trying to be practical about becoming so ! hi there Dave, I was looking at the info you shared with Pluto going retrograde and all. I have Mars in Venus and Jupiter in Pisces. Could you help me interpret what I might be in store for? I am getting engaged and moving in with my boyfriend (soon to be fiance!!) in a month or so. He has his Ac at 4 Sag 36' Does this mean that there will be problems in relationship to this retrograde or just adjustments (good and bad) to the new situation and living arangements we will be facing? Any thoughts regarding this would be greatly apreciated. love, lioneyes p.s. I didn't know whether to post this here or on the lover's garden, my question does involve the Pluto retrograde although I realize my question is a relationship one. I also figured with Auriel's family situation, that you would probably help on the answer anyway. Thanks again Dave, Ash

Lioneyes, The reason why I give the degrees is to limit the range of the effects - in other words, if a planet is not within 2 degrees of the range, then either the effect has past or is to come. So, with your Mars and his ascendant, the transit has passed. With your Jupiter yes, Pluto will get within a degree and then back off - so the main effect is to happen in 2002. Basically with Jupiter your growth will be transformed into your being - it is probably the easiest of the Pluto transits. ------------------ Thanks Dave

Lioneyes, As I said, the transit of Pluto to Jupiter is the easiest - if it had been the Moon or Venus, then the reply would have been a lot different... ------------------ Thanks Dave

Sorry Dave, I thought that you were saying that Pluto was retrograding my Jupiter this March 17th and that I would have to go through another in 2002, and wondering if the dynamics are going to be different. But if I understand you correctly you are saying that pluto will retrograde my Jupiter in 2002. I'm not quite sure what are charts are but it seems I misinterprete you everytime, so I apologize if I frustrate you! lioneyes

Tish, I know I know. This Pluto thing is trine my Mercury. I'm enjoying this. With Pluto approaching a conjunct to my Moon and all the death I've had so close to me in the last couple of years, having Pluto to transition my mind has been a plus. That Pluto approaching the conj to my Moon has already given me a few "Total self-pity" days, but I've been blessed too. Sometimes self-pity can lead to self-realization of self-centered thinking. And now that I've tied my tongue, I think I'll go get my crew off the bus. Take care of yourself. Love and Laughter, borderCAT

Hi borderCat, You know, I also have had close death in the past couple of years. So we have had similar experiences lately, including the self pity I was dragging for a long time.It is truly a joy to have mental stuff for a change. Would you give me your birth data? I'd love to get a look at the different aspects we have had in the past years. I am taking a rest until Pluto conj. my Saturn and Sun and at the same time opp. my Moon in a few years when it gets to Capricorn!!!! I have Saturn in 28 Sag, Sun in 3 Cap and Moon in 27 Gem. I hope the Pluto trine Neptune that I will also be having is a positive one. Take Care, Tish

Hi Dave Is this the transit you told me about some time ago? I have Moon at 15*Sag. Mercury at 13*Pisces and Venus at 14*Pisces. Could you help me with this please Dave? I am trying to work things out for myself regarding transits and things, but my understanding is still very limited. Am I right in thinking that the conjunction of Pluto and Moon in fourth house concerns family? I have had worries for some time about the health of my Brother-in law (who is more like a real brother to me and also my sister. He is awaiting a heart Bi-pass (don't know how to spell that) and my sister has other health problems. Am I on the right track here with my interpretation? I don't want to be all doom and gloom because I do accept what will be will be. Also what are the general implications of Pluto squaring my Merc. and Venus in the Seventh? Maybe I will just be taking two steps back to the ten I have come forward over the past few months Hope you understand this. Love Sealion.

Weird Weird Weird.... I post a reply on this thread 2 hours ago...it appears to not be here Anyway... Tish and BorderCat - I'm glad to hear that Pltuo transiting your Mercury's has been postive -my sister is expereincing this transit and I think on the whole it is being good to her too...although she has had other tough ones happening at the same time, so we'll see how she makes out the end! Lioneyes - I had Pluto square my Jupiter (also in Pisces) through 98/99 and on the whole it was a very postive time in my life. I finished college, moved across the country and really changed alot in my approach to life in general - all for the better You shouldn't feel badly about misunderstanding things either...when I first came here I thought Dave spoke in a different language! So many things were so over my head, and so much of the terminolgy was new to me...but you'll catch on! And Dave - Can you offer me any special tips as to how to "survive" March 17? That retrograde happens to be right on top of my moon. I know we've talked about the tranist in general, and I understand what's happening over the long run - but what can I expect from that day? BTW - Matt's mom will be here for her holidays...a mother-in-law visit and a harsh Pltuo transit...OUCH! Seriously, what would you do if it were you? Love, Terri

Sealion, Your observations are very good. Yes, the Pluto in the 4th can mean family concerns, but also it is a transformation in the way you feel, and the Venus square in the way you love and Mercury in the way you communicate. And you are doing really well at those transformations as I see that you are learning how to drive (let us know how that comes out) and you are coming out of your shell and starting to want to go out, and this is great for you. The effects in many other cases can be very negative, but with you, you are using the energy in a very positive manner, and I'm glad for you. You aren't taking steps backward! Love Dave

Dave Thanks for the reply. I will let you know how I get on with my Driving Test, it is next week - you remembered How do you 'know' that I have started going out again? I don't remember mentioning it on here. Myself and some old friends have started going for a night 'on the town' every couple of weeks. And it is doing us all some good I have been a home bird for far too long, and even my girls think it's great that I've started going out again Now I just have to pass that test and there will be no stopping me. I think I get the gist of this Pluto thing now - Go with the flow and learn, as you can't do a lot about it anyway Is that right? Thanks once more for your words of wisdom. And long may this Forum live, I think the whole of this Site is brilliant, I have learnt so much from you and the others on here, even just from reading other people's threads. Love Sealion

"Fortunatrly the moon will be in Cappy"?!?!?! Are you for real? Fortunately for whom? You? Cause Cappy moons don't do anything good for me!!! As for yelling in another room...my apartment has only 3 of them! ANyway, to be fair Matt's mom is cool and her visit isn't really an issue, if anything it might be a blessing in disguise, as she'll be a buffer and a diversion... fingers crossed... Love, Terri

Terri, I was teasing you! Well, go outside and yell then! Seriously, you have the right attitude, so you should be OK. Sealion, It was funny, and not a coincidence, but I do print off the charts and every so often I put them in a notebook, and I did that today, so the chart for the driver's test happened to appear out of the air! The reason why I mentioned that is that you did post something on Auriel's forum, and that's where I got the clue... Now you know why I said to you that I was glad for you! Love to both of you! Dave

Tish, Ok, but you got to give me your birth info too. I was born on Aug 24,1966 at 5:19 in the morning. Chicago Ill. Actually, it was Roseland Ill but that's only a few miles south of the city. I had a wild day. I made an impulse call (during a Merc retro...go figure) and got a call back this evening from a lady who wants to see my portfolio. She has a writing position open with her paper. She said she has seen the school paper I design and she loves my work, but she's looking for a writer. So, now I have to compile my scattered portfolio. If I had known I was going to be doing interviews I would have already had that together. OH well, Merc retro you know. Between that and my Chem test tomorrow, I may be bald by the time she sees me on Thursday. That aught to impress her. (I can't believe I was so tongue tied when she called. I could kick myself.) OH well, if I don't get it, I'll get the next one -- or maybe the one after that. Sealion, I feel a little liberated myself. I'm leaving for a weekend trip with the school paper at the end of the month. It's the first thing I've really done overnight without my kids in many months. With all the changes in our family lately, I have wanted to remain close to them. Still, I did have to pass on a weekend trip to Denver. That flying away for the weekend was still too much for me. I'm headed in that direction, but I don't want to push myslef to do to much too soon. Also, the trip was for late April and it costs so much. Terry, I know in-law woes all to well. But, you wouldn't believe all the things I have learned about how really unfair I have been since my husband died. I mean the things that I thought were wrong, were wrong, but there was more to it. I thought that they felt they were too good for me and even their own son, when it turned out that they thought we were too good for them in their own way. They are all Water and Air signs and me and my husband were both placid Virgos in their eyes. They marveled at our patience. It never ceases to amaze me when people comment about how patient I am. But then again, how were they supposed to know that my Asc is square my Neptune? My Moon is at 16 degrees Sag Terry. Where is yours? Well I've got to go. Take care of yourselves. Love and Laughter, borderCAT

Dave - I knew you were teasing I also noticed that there are trines from Neptune and Jupiter to my sun at the same time, and that makes me feel a whole lot better! So in a tug-of-war who is the winner? Jupiter or Pluto? Jupiter is bigger - but Pluto is tricky....even match I think. Oh well, it'll be fun in it's own way I'm sure! And BTW - you are the only person EVER to say I have a good attitude! Made my day borderCAT - Matt's mum is a Taurus - and we actually get along quite well...except I haven't seen her in a long time and she's never been to our new place or seen our son for a year and a half. (She lives far away) When we used to live closer there were times when I would get stressed b/c I felt like I was being compared to her "perfect" daughter. They are very traditional - she actually cried when I told her I was rasing my son a vegetarian. I can understand a little concern maybe, if it's an unfamilir thing - but TEARS? So anyway, there are times when I feel a bit examined and judged, and times when I think she is really manipulative, but I guess most in-law type relationships are like that to some degree or another. My moon is 15 degrees of Pisces. Oh - and I love placid Virgos, they are so calming to my little airsign hurricanes! Love, Terri

borderCAT Just wanted to write and say 'I hope you have a really good trip' Also I know you were directing this question at Terri, but I couldn't help noticing your Moon position, mine is Sag 15* in the fourth house. Just out of curiosity where is Saturn in your Chart? My huband died three years ago and although everybodies situation is different I must have had some of the feelings which you have had and know some of how you feel. Anyway it sounds as though you are moving on, as I am. There is only one way to go and that is foreward My children and the need to care for them are what have kept me strong. And I am sure that you are that way too. Love to you Sealion

Sealion, Thanks! My Moon is in the fourth too. My Saturn is in Pices in the 8th (but it makes wonderful trines to Mars and Jupiter in my 12th) Did you find out that you know far more widows that you would have realized before you became one. There was a woman from our bank who had known my husband for years. When he died she sent me a card and her phone number. A couple of weeks later, she found me in the bank at one of the other tellers. She took me aside and gave me some very valuable financial advice. I couldn't even think about things like that, but time was wasting. They have a widows meeting in town every week, but I don't go. Most of the widows I know have been driven even crazier than I have. I can't handle it when I'm the strongest one in the room. Unless I'm visiting a Kindergarten class, it scares me. I don't know what your expierence is, but that has been mine. I don't know some days I feel like I'm doing great, and others I'm not so great. Sometimes the wound just opens all over again and I start to bleed fresh. Sometimes when I dream, he is there with me and he just sits and patiently listens while I tell him all about the phone call I got that day and signing the papers to donate his organs. Then, I wake up and try to move past it. Having a Leo Asc and a first house Sun, I have been told more than once that I can be selfish, but I have never felt so selfish as I do now. There have been times that the pain blots out all of my other feelings -- like when Grandma died. I said all the right things, but it was like I was numb all over inside. It's funny though I've never felt stronger or weaker in my life -- if that makes any sense. It certainly is a rolercoaster ride. It's just that I was hoping for a little while on the carosel. See now, aren't you sorry you brought it up? I gotta go. Take care of yourselves. Love, borderCAT

Hiya bC I am definitely not sorry I asked. I hope you didn't think I was prying In reply to your question about widows, I don't know anyone of my age and circumstances who is widowed, although I am fortunate to have a wide circle of friends and several of them are divorced. How long is it since your husband died? I get the impression that it isn't very long ago. For 2 years I was doing everything on 'automatic pilot' and not getting pleasure from anything. Everyone thought I was so strong and doing so well because I painted my face on and went to work every day. Only one or two very close frinds knew how much I was really hurting. You are not selfish and don't let people who don't understand how you feel make you think that you are. You need time to come to terms with what has happened. It gets better - you learn to live with what has happened rather than 'get over it' When you are really ready to move on you will know, and that doesn't mean that every now and again you won't have a little weep. But that is not being selfish, see it as part of the healing process. I also have a Leo Ascendant and I think that is where I get my strength from (I don't see it being my Pisces Sun Although Pisceans have more strength than a lot of people think. I am very sensitive, but I see this as a strength not a weakness. Keep moving forward and eventually when you look back the happy memories will be what you remember and not the sad times, if that makes sense. Love Sealion

Sealion, Thanks for your wonderful advice. It's nice to know there is another side. There are days that I feel like it will never end. He died on Good Friday last Spring. You hate to think of dying in the spring, but the day of the funeral was so gentle. The Sun was so comforting. Right now I feel like when I've been really, really sick with a fever and stuck in bed for several days. You know how after a while you start to feel it lifting and your sprits just soar cause you know your about to be freed from that prison, but when you get out of bed you all the sudden feel dizzy and have to lie back down again. Then, you try everything from mineral baths to truly strong hot toddies to get yourself going again but it only goes so far. That's the only way I can describe it. I feel like he's in the past now. Like he's folding himself up into some special little corner of my heart where he can shine out and... That's the part I don't know. I haven't figured out what his new role is. I just know he still has one. And, I don't know. I guess in a way I'm also mourning my self -- the old self that just wont cut it anymore. It's a new day with new challenges. By the way, I did get offered that job. They liked my "voice." They say my style is well fitted to the more researced writing they do. It's a tab. The opening they have is a little to ambitious for my scedule, but they are willing to negotiate with me to see if we can find a solution. I may just join them as a stringer. I hope it works out. They're desprate enough to negotiate now, but Merc is retro and I know if I don't move soon I'll loose it. This Merc thing is making me crazy. I never know when my computer is going to work, this big job decision, and I've been talking to my lawyer about closing my husbands estate. It seems that I may have taken responsibility for debts that aren't mine. Imagine that. They're real sorry and they and think I should take immediate action, but I'm a little nervous -- second guessing. Everything is happening so fast. Well listen take care of yourself. And thanks for your words they helped a lot more than you know. Love, borderCAT

Hi borderCat Thanks for your information, I will take a look. I was very surprised that you were born in 1966. Lately I have been making contacts with people born on that year. here is mine, December 25, 1958 10:00 a.m. Guatemala, Guatemala. I admire your courage, I have had close deaths, but they were expected, and it hurts, but don't shake your whole life much. It was my dear Grandma and my dad, both within 9 days difference. That was a dificult time for me, because I had so many losses within a year, divorce, lost my house, bankrupcy due to a robbery etc, and then the passing away. Fortunately I am going over the pain and adjusting to life. Lots of love, Tish

Hi again borderCat, I found some interesting things with our charts, we have quite a few contacts with our planets, My Uranus is conj in almost exact orb with your Mercury and also conj your Venus, and trines your Moon. My Pluto conj. your Sun and your Sun trines my Sun and my Saturn, and your Moon conj my Mercury. I also found our charts are opposite like a mirror. We have apposition in Ascendants. That's why we have had similar aspects on transits. I noticed that Saturn will be going over your Mid Heaven soon. take care, Tish

Tish, Christmas day! How sweet. I have another friend who is born on Christmas day. He's a sweet heart. He is Very good about loaning out books -- very good about being there in times of trouble. So you say Uranus Conjunct Merc and Venus while we both face the world from opposite sides of the spectrum (Leo Aquarius). Sounds to me like we should go into business. We will probably either save the world or blow it to bits. I suspect that's depending on just how much tequila the garden sprites spike the coffee with. Maybe we should just stick to fruit juices. Naw, better make that water. Love and Laughter, borderCAT

Hi borderCAT When will you know if you have the job? I hope you get it on the terms you want - let me know. You are doing great I think the low feeling which comes after you have felt like you were 'soaring' is probably due to the fact that you are pushing too hard too soon or at least that is what I used to put it down to. You really are doing so well and after less than a year What a beautiful way to put it - the bit where you said that your husband is in a special little corner of your heart, that is where he is and his part in your life is anything you want it to be Take care and good luck with everything Love and understanding Sealion

Hi all, I accepted the job this morning. I took it on a freelance basis. The pay is not too bad for the work and I don't have to pull an awful lot of office time which is great cause they have a dress code. (You'd have to know me to know what that means). Can you believe that I took a job when both Mercury and Pluto were retrograde? Oh well, I'll get over it. I'm not standing still. I'm pushing forward. Oh and Tish. I've been looking at our charts and I have to say it is so very very nice to see you again my friend. Where was it the South of France or were you that Egyptian dancer who once caught me stealing the Pharos jewels and let me go? We've come a long way baby, and that aint smoking. In love and laughter, borderCAT
