~~~~The Pride Suit~~~
I once had a suite of pride,
Worn it closely on my hide,
Looked so grand when I would stand,
I was such an outstanding man,
Looked so good in the mirror,
Stain resistant and always pressed,
But oh so heavy when socked with tear,
Very hard to get undressed
Took my suit to a cleaner,
Said you must be a screamer,
Aye, sometimes I am, a lot I am, most always I am,
Said breath out slower, makes your tummy lower,
And the suit slips off like a streamer
Went home and screamed at such a ploy,
How could anyone be so coy?
Screamed for hours, days, weeks, months, years, lifetimes, millenniums, eons, pert near forever,
Ran out of breath, the suit slipped off, I thoht, how clever, how dumb I was to endeavor
Without my skin, without a friend, with out my kin,
Only because I choose to offend, not them,
