The Part of Marriage is one of a great number of Arabic Parts (also known as Greek Lots). The most well known of these, of course, is the Part of Fortune. The formula for the Part of Marriage is Ascendant + 7th House Cusp - Venus. What this means is that the distance from Venus to the 7th house cusp (measured around the chart, counter-clockwise) is the same as the distance from the Ascendant to the Part of Marriage. To find the Part of Marriage, start with Venus, and measure the distance in degrees around the chart from Venus to the 7th House Cusp. Then starting at the Ascendant, move around the chart this number of degrees to find the Part of Marriage.

The Part of Marriage is probably not a very important or useful point in the chart, and I wouldn't put too much emphasis on it under any circumstances. However, if you were to work with it, you would evaluate the part first of all based on what house it falls in; then you would look at the planet that rules that house, and it's condition and placement by house. These factors would theoretically be strongly linked to one's marriage.
