Sitchin has always struck me as a level-headed researcher by comparison to a lot of folks interested in these subjects who are prone to "massage" solid research information to reach conclusions that support their own pet scenarios. I especially like the conclusion drawn by the article's author at the end

I have been an avid reader of Sitchin for the past two years. I have all 8 of his books and recently purchased his last one,

The last one explains who the face on Mars is and tells of a crash landing there. Now, recently, the discovery of water on Mars further supports, in my eyes, validity in the probability of them setting up a temporary settlement on Mars, oh so long ago.

Ancient history has always fascinated me and Sitchin has pulled it together in the most comprehensible way. I started out reading Von Danikan (sp?) almost 25 years ago and what he couldn't do, Stichin did.

I wonder who Sitchin was in the path of reincarnation? I mean, was he Enki? Or any of the original Anunnaki, who has finally incarnated in the proper time to tell the tale that has stumped mankind for centuries?

And, if you read his "The Cosmic Code", you will see the Kaballah, the Hebrew alphabet and the genetic code are all the same, also the emblem of the entwined serpents, known as the Caduceus.

Donna,Ive had an interest in this since learning about the probability of alterations based on wrongful translations of early scripture. I just picked up a copy of Genesis Revisited at the library,and have a copy of the 12th Planet already...and I shall DEFINITELY read the Cosmic Code.~thanks for that info!.

Aries, the Gardner links go into linquistics from another area and all tie in with everything. I think the Nazirene link speaks more of theology and the soul, which Sitchin speaks more of technology and origins rather than spirit, but I haven't read all my Stichin books yet, so I really don't know about soul belief from that point of view. Only that I believe in it and as I read everything, it ties into my belief system and makes the most sense of anything and just confirms it for me.

About how it all ties in and plays with things, in my opinion and feeling about it, well, that is hard to put into words. Except, this whole Middle East thing feels so Karmic to me and that is the place of the original settlement of the Nefilim and all I can think of when I see the news and happenings over there is--"o my gosh, these are the descendents of the original genetic "Adams" and look how they have evolved". I probably haven't expressed that as well as I think it to myself, but I feel it all relates to Cayce's story of The Sons of Darkness and The Sons of Light in the spirit and soul realm of entering corporal vehicles at the beginning. Anyway, those are just some of my thoughts and as I search and learn, and it is ever fascinating.

Theres a documentary titled "In Search of Eden" , which FINALLY touches on "in the beginning", yet doesnt mention Sitchin...its based on archeology,and early language/scriptures. Its excellent,and I watched it on TLC, or A&E a while back.
It was easy to envision the world "nearly ending" where it all began..all a blessed cycle,all for a reason.
I just havent uncovered the whole code yet..lol

The Lost Book of Enki by Sitchin. It is not as flowing because I think he literally translated it, so the verbs and adjectives do not flow as we speak them in English. But, it is an amazing tale in Enki's own words, of how they trialed and errored in working the DNA, how they came to Earth to save their own home planet. It even mentions the word "soul" when they finally perfected the Being, as Enki refers to it, rather than creature. "A Being, like us" as Enki says.

I've heard that too, Donna, though I have yet to see a persuasive explanation of the link. The clearest connection I've seen so far is the 22 Major Arcana with the 22 Amino Acids, but ...

The parallels with the Ching, though, are astounding! Identical structure, and even the genetic codons that have been "translated" have meanings clearly related to the corresponding hexagrams in the I Ching!

BTW, I'm looking for material in a number disciplines other than astrology to flesh out the Conscious Evolution site, and I'm thinking that Sitchin's ideas are a natural. Any ideas for basic explanatory material that might be available (i.e., public domain or published with permission to copy)?

Aries has started an interesting topic- I was reading a book at Barnes & Nobel just the other day talking about this very topic but I can't remember the name of the book but the author wrote about Nibiru/Annu in one section. I have read other authors concerning Nibiru/ Annu.

Woody, no, I haven't seen Hoagland's video, but sounds interesting. I completed reading Sitchin's book, The Lost Book of Enki and he translates the Sumerian clay tablets that are Enki's diary. The 4th tablet speaks of the face on Mars. It describes it as a tomb carved in the likeness of Alalu, the commander placed on Mars to run the space station as punishment, and in exile. When he dies, his team carved his face in his memory and buried him there. Oh, and Mars is called Lahmu in the Sumerian tablets, just thought it was interesting.
