Dr. Bruce Goldberg is one of my favorite metaphysical writers. He ranks up there with Linda G. in my book. He specifically deals with hypnosis, meditation, astral travel, time travel, and accessing the Akashic Records. I've been into his work since the late 80s when he published his first book Past Lives Future Lives. When I visited his site most recently, I discovered this case study, which I found extremely interesting. One of his readers used a technique he taught her to travel astrally to the Akashic Records to view her future. She saw that she was fated to die and changed her plans. In effect, she saved her own life. The thing I found even more interesting is that she would even be allowed to view this information. We tend to believe that death is fated. I've read Mr. Goldberg's "Past Live Future Lives" book, very good book. I had hypnotherapy with him some years back to help me cope with some personal issues. He is a very interesting person. I still use the tape he gave me in self-hypnosis to relax and meditate. He also wrote a book called "The Search for Grace" a document case study of Murder and Reincarnation...CBS made a movie of this with Lisa Hartman and Ken Wahl starring in the film.

He's from Woodland Hills, CA, A Doctor of Dental Surgery to Counseling Psychology and to Metaphysics...big change in career, eh? Have you read any other new books of his?

I haven't actually read any of his other books. I seem to have a vague memory of the Search for Grace movie, though. I bought his tapes for past life regression and future life progression several years ago. I didn't have much success with them at the time, but I'm going to go back and explore them again. I've become much more relaxed in terms of my efforts hypnotize myself, and I've become much more familiar with meditation.

I saw Dr. Goldberg on a talk show a few months ago. That put his work back on the forefront of my mind.

Let me get this straight: YOU HAD A SESSION WITH DR. GOLDBERG?!!!! Wow! I would love to have one, but I live in Atlanta. If I ever journey to the west coast, I will definitely look him up. His work is awesome and isn't just theoretical mumbo-jumbo. His work has so many practical applications. I'm going to order some of his more recent books and tapes soon.

When I called to order the tapes several years ago, I was shocked when HE actually answered the phone. I was even more shocked when he was so RUDE! I respected his work and decided to order the tapes anyway, but I started to send him a letter complaining about his level of customer service. He hustled me off the phone quickly, because he was about to do an appointment. I was curious as to why he answered it in the first place -- or why he didn't have a receptionist or answering service. I figured I just caught him at a bad time, so I decided to let it pass. What did you think of him personally? Just curious.

Yup, it was I think a 4 or 5 month session.

Understand that he is a Scorpy Man. He is very quite and reserved and VERRRRY Private. He did have that rude intonation on him and he did gave me a bad taste of Scorpio for a while, but I'm over that. He is an expert on his line of work and that is what I consulted with him for. He does his work out of his home. He did gave me a copy of his book, "The Search for Grace" and autographed it. I still remember his home very dark and dim and quiieeet (like a ghost town), dark wood panels, makes you feel your going back in time. Beautiful home and spotless, hehehe, must have virgo in him.

Cristina, thanks for the insights. An astrologer told me many years ago that most hypnotists and hypnotherapists were Scorpio types. This man's work is fathoms deep, brilliant, and awe-inspiring. He's taking some basic techniques and applying them in boundary-busting ways.

I've been exploring Silva Mind Control lately also. I think I'll be able to manifest some personal positive changes by working with these two very similar programs.

Have you visited Dr. Goldberg's site recently? He has some very interesting stuff there to read.

The Age of Pisces was the time of redemption. Most of us lived in servitude or outright slavery during this past age. The Age of Aquarius is an age of personal discovery. It's time for us to rediscover much of the knowledge that was lost in the milleniums after the end of the Age of Leo and the fall of Atlantis. I think this is one reason Dr. Goldberg is here -- to present these cutting edge theories on life mastery. Linda Goodman said that the Aquarian Age would the time for all karmic circles to complete themselves, and I can see why this would be so. The psychological, meditational, therapeutic bent of the incoming age will make this a possibility.

I've heard of Silva Mind Control some years back. Couldn't quite recall about it. Can you brief me with it?

I've been doing a lot more of self-exploration since I have seen Mr. Goldberg, but in the last two years seem to give that crucial feeling that I need to concentrate more to it. What makes it difficult is that it takes my focus off my daily life responsibility and trying to balance it is not simple. Most of the time I'd write and make comments here at the forum, and it's only part of what is in my heart and mind, and I had to rush back to my daily things to do. Soon I enough, I'll have more time to look more into myself and express it, it's just the feeling of urgency that irritates me. .

A lot of my karmic expriences I think started when I was twelve either the time after my grandfather past away or the time after I almost drowned, the time was very close together. Life was easy before then, but after that it wasn't. Something inside me seems to always boost my self-esteem and tell's me that It's part of my learning, follow what I feel deep inside is right and take it as a lesson thought, that there is always a reason why things happen. I stayed with this belief til now and it helped me cope with a lot of things in life.

I will try spend more time to check Mr. Goldberg's site soon. I did quickly browsed the site and there seems to be a lot of things going on. It has been a long time since I ran across any of his work. Thanks for letting me know and the link.

As brilliant as this man might be, it sounds like he needs a course himself, in "bedside/chairside manners." I still say for the most part there is no excuse for being nasty...and if there was, then an apology should be in order...I'm sorry..I'm probably being petty...*sigh*...

I didn't see the point of his manners important at that time. My friends and family would tell me good things to comfort me then, though I know it wasn't so. I saw his bluntness more of a blessing to me because it made me see more about myself and tackle it head on rather than staying in a dreamworld that I have created to protect myself. He contributed to bringing me back to reality and accepting life's challenges and find ways to overcome it. Though the experience with his manners were negative and outcome were positive and I do thank him for that. Sometimes it is hard to admit and accept what the real truth is and when I did the challenges in life became little bit more easier to understand and tackle.

Cristina...I'm glad you were able to derive beneficial results from his teachings..*sigh*..and I guess, in the long run, the fact that he IS able to help so many, overshadows the fact that he can be curt to people..*sigh*...(it STILL wouldn't hurt for him to take some "nice" pills, tho )

I hope Dr. Goldberg works on his chairside manner also. Maybe it's just his natural personality. I don't know. Being so deep into hypnosis and metaphysics in general and being brilliant with what he does, you'd think the universe might have clued him in. Maybe I should have pointed this out all those years ago when I started to! An alternate perspective is that his sharpness may in fact be a positive for his work with his clients. As Cristina said, he got directly to the point; and in the long run, it helped her progress. I'm rambling here. I'm not sure which of these possibilities is correct.

Silva Mind Control was written by Jose Silva. Silva teaches meditation and self-hypnosis for many of the same beneficial results as Dr. Goldberg. The two programs are very similar, though I have to say that Dr. Goldberg takes his activities further than Silva. Same general techniques, slightly more imaginative applications, many of the same observations. Silva's work is on a par with Dr. Goldberg's.

The next time you're at a bookstore, check out Silva Mind Control. The book is in paperback and costs about $5.95. It's not a long book, but it's a powerhouse. He covers many topics including weight loss, memory improvement, and psychic development. Basically, like Dr. Goldberg, he's teaching a technique and giving examples of how to apply it. Dr. Goldberg goes a step farther by showing us how to access Akashic Records and teaching how to explore past and future lifetimes, as well as delving into other interesting topics.

Thanks for the info. I'm adding it to my list of books to buy next time I go to the bookstore.

Right now I am reading a book by Robert Bruce called "Astral Dynamics", book on astral projection covering different levels and technique, including accessing the Akashic Records . I still have a long way to go with the book, but it seems like his process has some of Dr. Goldbergs Meditation and Self-Hypnosis technique. Now, this man is a total opposite of Dr. Goldberg, Mr. Bruce seems very polite and responds quick to your questions.
