I havent heard anything about what Sitchin has to say in this regard.
Most of us are under the impression this is the omen/warning comet, as opposed to the possible passing thru the tail of the comet which COULD be something that causes the massive quaking which will occur at some point once war in WELL under way. But I believe these will be various events.
The earth passing thru the tail as well as an intense nuclear strike BOTH can be what the ancients seen in
their frames of reference. We could actually see both these events IN OUR LIFETIMES. The general comparative prophecies in regards to this are about the "sun and moon not shedding its light, and stars falling..
Yeshua (Jesus) had this to say...
Matt.24:29,.. "immediately
after the tribulation of those days...the Sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light,and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heaven will be shaken".
Based in that statement combined with prophecy against prophecy, we feel these are certainly separate events. Remember, there will be "several blasts of the trumpet."
We will be given at the very least, a
short warning when it will be time for all coastlands to move inland. (UNLESS its an asteroid which is coming from the direction of the sun~a blind spot!) This short warning has been intuited by many, many people. Those who dont wish to heed the call, or understand the signs, wont survive...its simple.
Those on the coastlands will need to move to higher ground.
There's a Nostradamus prophecy which makes sense for this present time period, IF "mabus" is Saddam, which is thought to be the general consensus. Nosty used anagrams many times, in which he mixed letters and dropped one letter and added another in a name.etc.

I recall Dave Walters and I discussing this once, but I know the idea this was to do with her theory of Vulcan. (?)

Anyway...there are various other quatrains about all this, but no need to cause mass hysteria, as at least one of those is for 2005, based on a saturn/mars conjunction in a fire sign.
Nosty refered to comets/meteors along with eclipses as omens/signs, as well as hinted towards an actual strike.
The book of Revelation talks of a strike of some sort in the sea. I believe this will be in the Atlantic, based on the compilation of various comparisons.
For the record..there is NO actual prophecy relating to any such planet X...other than one biblical reference to 11 planets. Any other references are all to do with the earth rocking to and fro, etc. which can be anything from an internal shifting of the plates (Cayce)... to a planetary hit or massive solar flaring. It also could include nuclear weapons causing this..which is something that has been intuited by many, (I know a couple)
As Im typing this, its being talked about NOW on Coast To Coast AM...(see post on Star Chat) As the guest stated, because theres more water on earth then land, the chances of something hitting water are greater. And EXACTLY as stated, something hitting us would probably cause the same "mushroom type" cloud as a nuke.
Coincidently, today I received an email from a native indian prophecy pal who foresees this type of cloud on a coastal city.
We are both in agreement we will see all these events transpire within 4-9 years.
