Hi All Here's a little something about Time and Friendship sent to me by an Earth Angel friend of mine, that was sent to her by one of her Earth Angel friends. I'm sure that many of you have seen it before, but I felt it was worth sharing here... *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ It is so easy to focus on the past and the future and forget to live in the present. How many days have gone by when you feel like you accomplished so little? I am not only talking about running errands or getting something done for work. I am including time spent enriching yourself spiritually, emotionally and physically. I too am guilty. Think about it and live life to the fullest! *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ There is a bank that credits your account each morning with $86,400. It carries over no balance from day to day. Every evening it deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day. What would you do? Draw out ALL OF IT, of course!!!! Each of us has such a bank. Its name is TIME. Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds. Every night it writes off, as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest to good purpose. It carries over no balance. It allows no overdraft. Each day it opens a new account for you. Each night it burns the remains of the day. If you fail to use the day's deposits, the loss is yours. There is no going back. There is no drawing against the "tomorrow." You must live in the present on today's deposits. Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness, and success! The clock is running. Make the most of today. To realize the value of ONE YEAR, ask a student who failed a grade. To realize the value of ONE MONTH, ask a mother who gave birth to a premature baby. To realize the value of ONE WEEK, ask the editor of a weekly newspaper. To realize the value of ONE HOUR, ask the lovers who are waiting to meet. To realize the value of ONE MINUTE, ask a person who missed the train. To realize the value of ONE-SECOND, ask a person who just avoided an accident. To realize the value of ONE MILLISECOND, ask the person who won a silver medal in the Olympics. Treasure every moment that you have! And treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time. And remember that time waits for no one. Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That's why it's called the present!!! Friends are a very rare jewel, indeed. They make you smile and encourage you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share a word of praise, and they always want to open their heart to us. Only Love Prevails

Beautiful Message Kel. I needed it today. Being a Capricorn I have always had a little tension with the entire concept of "Time". Me & Saturn get into some debates. I may be a Cap, but I have all this Sag and so patience is not my forte. . .sometimes I want all time to come together & everything to happen NOW. But I've been working on appreciating time forever. . . You know. . . in New Age thought, Time often gets put off as a bad thing. . . the rhetoric goes: "Oh, we live in the Eternal Now, but as long as we're on Earth we just have to put up with linear time, ho hum. . . " But I think linear time is a beautiful gift in its own right. Yes, of course, there is a wholeness, a reality where all is one and all is NOW, but. . . I mean. . .in TIME we get to have special, significant moments. . . I am thinking of T.S. Eliot, who wrote. . . Time past and time future Allow but a little consciousness To be conscious is not to be in time But only in time can the moment in the rose garden, The moment in the arbor where the rain beat The moment in the draughty church at smokefall Be remembered; involved with past and future Only through time time is conquered. One of my favorite passages from Eliot, and always will be, always has been. . .but I did need TIME to get me to the moment when I first read it, on a bus, traveling lonely from one town to the next, when I was 22 and in between faith and despair. . . passion and exhaustion. . . oh I remember that night on the bus clutching my volume of poetry, trying to look confident and content on my own. . .Moments in time are precious, thanks again, Kel. . Love Jennifer

Well hello there lovelies! How about this... for some reason I felt an urge to come here and since I'm learning to follow my nose I thought I'd have a peek. Hi Greg! Has been a while. You have a lovely place here. I hope you've been well and happy and, and, all that Well, at the moment, in the moment, is where I'm placing my focus. My sister and I have been discussing this actually, just tonight. She's reading a book that says when you are in tune and focussed on your body and how you react to something you Mind yourself. That is, access the Higher mind and observe and 'Mind' what you are reacting to. This inturn opens a doorway to your Higher sElf's insight on why you are reacting the way you are because you release your emotion to it by witnessing your reaction and affirming you want to understand it. By cutting through your programmed behaviour you step back from your ego (which is the little mind out-of-control thoughts) and are in the moment. It happened to me today, too. I felt a gut reaction in my solar plexus that almost made me feel sick and I was surprised by it because I had been trying to release my issue. My reaction told me I still hadn't and so determined, I wanted to know why. I asekd some questions, temporarily forgot about it and a couple of minutes later, the reasons came - just 'popped' into my mind. And I was over-reacting to the situation. Just the break in that automatic reaction released me from it and brought me back into the present (also known as the gift ) All of my concerns and worries vanish when I'm in the flow of the moment. It's soooo not easy, but like Jenn's gorgeous TS Elliot poem shares, through intent and time, you master it. You can centre your energies within you, and not direct them outwards to anyone or anything else. Bringing all of that focussed energy into your present is so powerful and the only place from where you can create change in your life and the world. Right here, right now Time is an illusion that your little mind uses to keep it's little self alive, and it kept you oncourse to accumulate all your experiences in order to overcome them - a mighty fine job while it was needed don't you think. But by questioning time you are asking to also let it go and releasing your attachment to time and your constant stream of thoughts that distract you. Your Higher Mind can cut through the confusion and into the Truth if you intend it. Do it... NOW ! But only if you want to Love, moonglow PS, have NO idea how long I'll be here, but I'll pop in when I feel the urge surge. Oooh, I just saw the hearts... love those!

Moonglow! How delightful to see you here! This is a great thread, isn't it? Pondering the nature of time is freeing, 'cause it's such a basic structuring form of our existence ... if we don't look closesly at it we can end up being controlled by it while scarcely even being aware of it. Time is illusion, yes, but time is also critical to our whole experience of life ... without it nothing could unfold, grow, develop, change, evolve I think it's a good analog for the whole physical/energetic world. Like the quest for balance implied it the phrase "being IN the world but not OF the world" ... we can experience the flow of life IN time without being OF time ... Great thoghts and words here, all. Moonglow I do hope you'll take "time" to visit us more often, what a lovely surprise! Love, Greg

Ticking away The Moments that make up a dull day. Fritter and Waste the hour in an off hand way. Kicking around, on a piece of ground in your Hometown. Waiting for someone or something to show you the Way. Time is lying in the Sunshine Staying home to watch the Rain You are young and Life is long There is Time to kill today And then One day you find Ten years have got behind you No One told You when to run...... You missed the starting gun..... And you run and you run to catch up with the Sun but it's sinking. Coming around to catch up with you again. The Sun is the same, in a relative way but your older. Shorter of breath And One day closer to death. (Pink Floyd) Time=emiT What we perceive Is.

Hi guys,
Grr- reading those Pink Floyd lyrics just re-minded me of something. . . I've been allowing myself to linger on an illusion for almost two years, and its starting to make me sick-- sometimes, you can get stuck in time. . .Like the U2 song: stuck in a moment & you can't get out of it. . .
I've been stuck on an unworkable idea for two ( three if I include the seeds of this nonsense) years. . .and I've known it all along, but for some reason felt it was okay to let it linger-- just lately, I've kind of snapped to attention & realized how much time has gone by-- & the areas of life ruled by this ONE darn, stubborn illusion have remained stagnant & shimmering with denial. . .
Time does force you to capitulate to reality over & over-- it doesn't let you linger in illusion comfortably, I'll tell you that. . .when I finally got honest & realized how long I'd let this one go it made me nauseous and absolutely humbled & terrified by how easily it can all pass by while you're staring into your own mirror-reflection. . .
Now I suddenly feel like I have to run to catch the sun. . .
Hmmm. . . I hope this serves as a word to the wise for anyone waiting solely for TIME to manifest some illusion ( not a goal-- when something is an illusion, you know it deep down & it just doesn't work-- I'm not trying to say that Time still isn't on our side when it comes to manifesting dreams. . .)
Tic Toc, Jennifer

The "present" is the most elusive of all...when we are living on the earth plane with linear time helping our minds keep everything relative and logical... Trying to be in the present moment is a skill that is more difficult to learn than we realize. The past and future seem so big, but by the time we perceive the "present moment" it is but a flash and it is already gone by the time our mind catches up with it. The illusion is that we are in the present, and the past is gone, and the future hasn't happened yet. "Abstract Al" reminded us that these are simultaneous. We are most alive when we are present, when we just are, when we know it. Focusing on the present moment only while trying to set aside thoughts of the past and future can feel like a superhuman achievement! Trying to empty out our own thoughts so we can just be in one-ness with the Creator--sounds simple, and is simple, yet takes practice. We are told to just focus on our breath, acknowledge and then release any thought that intrudes, until we are in a state that allows God into our consciousness. So happy to see you here Moonglow!!! TC, please, please go easier on yourself. In time you will feel better and know you were not wasting anything, that somehow it was all right for that moment. Love,

Yes indeed Kel . I like what you said as well as the rest of your post about time. You message about friends seems to reflect some of the things that was said here: The Gift of Friendship

Time is on my side (Yes it is)
Time is on my side (Yes it is)
Now you always say that you want to be free
But you'll come running back, you'll come running back
You'll come running back to me
Yeah, time is on my side (Yes it is)
Time is on my side (Yes it is)
You're searching for good times, but just wait and see
You'll come running back...
Go ahead, baby, go ahead. Go ahead and light up the town
And baby, do anything your heart desires
Remember, I'll always be around
And I know like I told you so many times before
You're gonna come back
Yeah, you're gonna come back, baby
Knockin', yeah, knockin' right on my door, yeah!
Time is on my side (Yes it is)
Time is on my side (Yes it is)
Cause I've got real the love, the kind that you need
You'll come running back...
Yeah, time, time time is on my side (Yes it is)
