NOW, you are speaking my language! Your points about control are right on. I think we've read the same "self-help" books But, seriously, I agree with you. I think we all need to take some of these comments less seriously.

Maria, I understand that some people here have more personal relationships with other members. But, to me, I'm not really a part of the "community". I certainly enjoy some of the discussions, but, when I start posting about politics and personal things more than I post about astrology...well, then I'm not getting much out of it. And, actually, that's been happening lately. Whether people here like me or not isn't really a big deal (although I prefer to be liked ). I just mean that I don't have a lot invested in the "community". There are a few posters here who I have personal discussions with and try to get to know. But, I like to keep that mainly in PMs.

Anyway, maybe I'm more of a spectator here than a participant.

Hey guy ... we haven't heard the "other" side either ... and I really don't think anybody's nursing any ill feelings toward you for any accusations that might have been made, whenever ... certainly nothing worth holding on to and dragging into public.

C'mon, don't sulk -- join the hug!

Love,

Now, why do I find it amusing that I missed the group hug because I replied before I got to that part of the thread?

Ah, well, it's rather appropriate

{{{Hugs, everybody.}}}

However, it must be stated clearly that everything Sabra has posted about me on this thread is lies and false accusations, other than that he did send me that single apology for months of harassment that he engaged in against me and I expressed to him that I was unwilling to resume a friendship based on the dishonesty that he never meant to hurt me during the time he was quite obviously intentionally hurting me.

In addition, I never told him the name of my writers group nor any information that would assist him in finding it, and he tracked me there anyway, just as he has tracked down and posted other "research" he did on me online -- like my old newspaper stories. I have sought to be kind while discouraging this extra attention from this person, "Sabra," as soon as it began to feel dangerous to me. This renewed attack and harassment, together with his revealing he has tracked me to the other place, will be saved and documented in case I need to pursue cyber-stalking charges against him. This has gone on far too long.

Thanks.

Maria

Well, sorry guys I missed all those hugs, I live in a different time zone.

What Greg is trying to do on this side is nice, and it's nice that some of us are real friends.. but most of us don't know each other personally and never would.

Only with REAL FRIENDS with can dare to be ourselves. But I dare to be myself even on this public forum. Which is shocking to some people.

I don't think that I have attacked Connie, I've only reacted to her posts, some of her ideas really provoke the worst in me. Probably the same goes for Connie, we're 2 different people as people could be different.

Just for the record, my best friend is a lady Taurus with Virgo Asc and the Moon in Scorpio... we share a lot of bad karma and are different, but we do love each other. And we do fight sometimes and even shout at each other. But we stay friends.

We click with some people in life, unfortunately we don't click with many of them.

Connie is endlessly patient in writing her posts, she wants all of us to understand her points of view and that's nice.

Taurus is more stubborn than most, on the other hand I can call that persistence and staying power of Connie.

OK, that's it.

Peace and Light everybody
El

Hi Greg
Sorry for my delay in replying to you.
And thank you for your concern re my ongoing legal situation.
Yesterday was one of the worst days of my life but the good news is that finally at 7:45pm last night we put an end to the 3 and a half year legal situation. I now have zero money but I get to keep my home. I've been very emotional since then...very tearful...I guess I'm kind of like an emotional time bomb at the moment. At least this is behind me now and I can start to move forwards with my life.

Anyway aside from my troubles.......

Thank you for your post, very much appreciated. You gave me a smile when you said to Donna that you maybe did ""cop an attitude" I love that expression
I see what you mean re your Scorp, Aries and Virgo. Fixed, Cardinal & Mutable. Actually I think your Virgo "wins" in the end. What do you think? My chart is so mutable.....to the point of ridiculous so I don't have that "fight for figure". (I study Gestalt therapy.....everything is a field - within that field you have figure and ground. Figure is what the spot light shines on and so makes it what we focus on at that time...background speaks for it's self. Sometimes things "fight for figure")
Hmmm am I remotely making sense here

Going to bed now as not slept to well for the last few weeks. I'll post again when I'm more "with it". I just didn't want you to think I was ignoring you

SUE!!!!!

It's finally over!!!!!! You must be feeling rollercoasters of emotions!!!!!

I'm happy for you....and sad too...because it's been such a long battle....and now it's really and truly over.
Quite a mix of emotions I am sure.....(((HUG)))

Listen sweetie....don't you put down all that mutable.....thats what helped end this finally!

Can you imagine what the world would be like with only Cardinals and Fixed signs?
We mutables have important jobs

I hope you are getting some rest now....you earned it......

You take care of yours-Elf ok?

(((HUGS)))

Hi Cat,

I'm also sending blessings, love and light for the end and for the beginning of a new beginning. And thank you for the gestalt figure and background conception. I like that. I'm glad you have your home.

Love,
Maria

Hi Cat,

Congratulations, that's great news! Too bad the money situation didn't work out better, but at least with your own home that's a major foundation of security and peace of mind to move forward from. I know you're feeling a big relief, even if shell-shocked!

That Gestalt figure-ground conception was really interesting to me too. Thanks! And yes, I'd agree that from that perspective, Virgo "wins out" in my chart ... though not so overwhelmingly that it's not a "dynamic figure" at best! I've often analogized Cardinal/Fixed/Mutable to Brahma/Vishnu/Shiva of the Vedic trinity, does that make any sense to you?

Onward and upward!

Love,
Greg

Hey Greg
Thank you

Yes relieved and shell shocked is a perfect description of how I'm feeling right now.

You always give me a giggle when you say "Onwards and Upwards" I love that saying

I'm glad you liked the Gestalt figure/ground concept. Gestalt is actually a very interesting "form of therapy". It deals with the here and now (hence the figure/ground concept). It works on bringing things that are out of your awareness (sub conscious) into your awareness. If you imagine a figure eight lying on it's side. In one circle put "inner" and in the other put "outer". Where the lines cross between the two circles...put a load of "scribble". That's what's called the middle zone. The middle zone is where things go a bit crazy (the way we've been "conditioned") so what happens is by the time the inner moves through the middle zone and reaches the outer it's distorted. Gestalt works on clearing than middle zone interference. (I guess you could say it's like getting bad reception on your TV - bad reception will give us a distorted/not clear picture) Hence bringing what is out of our awareness into our awareness without the distortion. Which is easier said than done hey

Anyway...like I said, I find it fascinating. In 2 months time I will have my Gestalt Therapist certificate. I would like to qualify as a psychotherapist in Gestalt but that takes 7 years and is very expensive.

Hmmm no I've never heard of Brahma/Vishnu/Shiva of the Vedic trinity. It sounds very interesting though. Perhaps, when you have time, you could start a thread about that? I'd be interested

I hope you are keeping well.
Sue

Hi El -

Well, I started this post - and I'm glad to see the group hugging. But, JWhop still got banned, and he isn't in on it. He got tossed; I didn't. JWhop basically got tossed for expressing his views. Lots of people say nasty things to each other - as demonstrated on this thread. They are all still here. Maybe I didn't get tossed cause I am female. Who knows?

See - JWhop, El, and I have a sense of self and pride. In fact, these qualities are frowned upon here. There is so much talk in these forums about supressing the ego and working for the common good. We should all have the same amount. The US is hated because we have more stuff. And then, it isn't fair cause some people in the US have more stuff than others. And, no one should be liking "stuff" any way. Okay. What should we do? Divide up all of the "stuff" around the world? Take some of the stuff away from some and give it to others - to be fair? So, the people who work hard and actually accomplish things end up doing all of the work. They work for the "common good". Then, they finally figure out ... why should we do all of the work? So they stop doing all of the work. Nothing gets done. Stagnation. There is no growth and no innovation. Society collapses on itself. This is called communism. It doesn't work. People are not truly altruistic by nature. The concept of ego, competition and pride is necessary. Truth of the matter, in communist countries, people are usually starving to death (while their leaders are living a lavish and posh lifestyle). North Korea is an example of this. Irag another. Cuba - people are starving, Castro isn't living the same high hog lifestyle of Saddasm - but is living a good life while his people are suffering. China has finally figured it out that it needs capitalism to make the economy work.

I love a leo - their sense of pride and accomplishment. These are the types who do well in a DEMOCRACY. JWhop, El and I have been grouped together. I am proud to be grouped with them!

We all seem to enjoy music here. The following is dedicated to el and jwhop:

GREATEST LOVE OF ALL
Whitney Houston
(Michael Masser & Linda Creed)

I believe the children are our are future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be
Everybody searching for a hero
People need someone to look up to
I never found anyone who fulfill my needs
A lonely place to be
So, I learned to depend on me

I decided long ago
Never to walk in anyone's shadows
If I fail, if I succeed
At least I'll live as I believe
No matter what they take from me
They can't take away my dignity
Because the greatest love of all
Is happening to me
I found the greatest love of all
Inside of me
The greatest love of all
Is easy to achieve
Learning to love yourself
It is the greatest love of all

I believe the children are our future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be

I decided long ago
Never to walk in anyone's shadows
If I fail, if I succeed
At least I'll live as I believe
No matter what they take from me
They can't take away my dignity
Because the greatest love of all
Is happening to me
I found the greatest love of all
Inside of me
The greatest love of all
Is easy to achieve
Learning to love yourself
It is the greatest love of all

And if by chance, that special place
That you've been dreaming of
Leads you to a lonely place
Find your strength in love

Joyce,

I agree with some of your thoughts on human nature the way it is NOW. But if we "evolve our consciousnes" to a higher level wouldn't our nature change??

I don't mind doing or giving more than "my share" if someone needs it. In fact, it makes me feel good to do so, just like I like to give to my children or family members if they need something I can provide.

I think it's just plain wrong for so many to have so much while others starve.
And I think those in power will always do that until we have a Conscious Evolution.

That's why I come to this Community. I am trying to learn how to do that...for the good of the ALL.

Hi Peggy,

Joyce started a Part II of this thread, since this one's getting so long and slow to open. I think your comments here are very relevant ... especially if we ever hope to move this political discussion to an arena that's actually relevant to spirituality ... which after all, is the real purpose of the site! So I'm going to copy your post here to the new thread to respond to, okay?

Love,
Greg
