Wow Lisa! Not showing partiality here, but in my honest opinion The Great Churning Wheel of Life is awesome. You reached inside yourself and touched on so much there and expressed it so very well. To me this reflects your inner growth. All that came before and all that will come after me, "completed before my existance," yet I have some little something to contribute to the whole of the panorama of time and existance or I would not be here. In short, I loved that one, Lisa. From William Wordsworth Lines Composed a Few Miles Above Tintern Abbey . . . I have learned To look on nature, not as in the hour Of thoughtless youth; but hearing oftentimes The still, sad music of humanity, Nor harsh nor grating, though of ample power To chasten and subdue. And I have felt A presence that disturbs me with the joy Of elevated thoughts; a sense sublime Of something far more deeply interfused, Whose dwelling is the light of setting suns, And the round ocean and the living air, And the blue sky, and in the mind of man: A motion and a spirit, that impels All thinking things, all objects of all thought, And rolls through all things. Therefore am I still A lover of the meadows and the woods, And mountains; and of all that we behold From this green earth; of all the mighty world Of eye, and ear, - both what they half create, And what perceive; well pleased to recognise In nature and the language of the sense The anchor of my purest thoughts, the nurse, The guide, the guardian of my heart, and soul Of all my moral being. Love, Connie/Mom

Hey Lisa, Are your poems spontaniously channelled from your Heart/Mind? Feels that way! What a profound gift, I'd like to see it in book form! Impressive! Rena

I'll second that! Your poetry is awesome, Lisa, it would be lovely to have it in a more permanent form and shared more widely. I'll hold that thought-form in mind! In fact, many gifted poets and writers have laid their tracks over these forums, perhaps we should start our own publishing company! Love, Greg

Cool! I suppose we technically ARE a publishing company already but so far just electronic (site and newsletter). We've published some fiction and poetry in metamorphosis, but really very little compared to the wealth of talent. I'm up for any ideas. Love, Greg

Hi Greg, I'd like to see, at this point of our evolution, to have everyone make a profit, from their work! As long as "you" manufacture products of value, at a reasonable cost, I believe this is fesible. If you have the capability to run off copies, and the writers, to submit their work, then you're half way there! To keep the initial costs down, it can start as a shoe-string press, like they do in country stores...simple. All regular paper insides, with a thicker paper cover. What do you think? Rena

 thank you very much.....I am blushing, and grateful for your kind words. To be published would be icing....knowing the words would be reaching a further audience and may touch more people in some way is luring....but it is also unneccessary. I often think of the poets, like Emily Dickonson who wrote 1,000's of poems in her life, but was unflustered by the thought of recognition..no one discovering her talent until after her death when her family happened across them.... only wrote because she had to.... because it was the bursting of her very soul and needed outlet. Pure inspiration without motive or intent.....these are the poets I so admire. That is the way the best poetry flows as well.....yes, there is a brain wave that is summoned, I believe, Rena....the one that is the most open to receive beyond our immediate perceptions. You lock into a thought or phrase and let it take you. I have felt poetry like that....and many times it has come to me spilling like broken glass. I have learned over time to put the pen down when that happens. It is a good feeling just to know that a poem has been read.....I would be willing to contribute my poetry for that very reason. I am realistic in knowing that poets seldom receive much in monetary gain for their work....and that means nothing to me anyway....in fact it kind of feels like accepting money for a gift that should have been simply given. Well, it is great to know someone is OUT THERE is reading anyway. Often I have stopped posting poetry here....not wanting to appear as if I am into tooting my own horn, because that is far from why I do it....I only want to share feelings and thoughts with others. It warms me to think it may mean something, no matter how small to Someone somewhere....some day. Thank for the encouragement. I do hope others will come back here and begin sharing once again. ~Lisa

That poem is so beautiful and intensly perceptive, Mom..... yes! see! So intune he was at the time to the magic of wonder..... he reeled it into himself so divinely. Each word flowing through him a gift to himself and all of us who happen upon them in time. Thanks!

Rena and Greg I think that's a wonderful idea. Lisa's dad and I have been encouraging her for years to get her poems and writings published.
It is as Lisa said a gift just to be shared with others. Which is why publishing the words to reach more people is a wonderful idea. It could be that someone needs to hear just those particular words at the right moment to change their whole lives, give them hope or inspiration. That is the power of our words. So many times we may use our words to hurt others, that needs to be counteracted in the world with words of love, peace and inspiration.
Often times Lisa has, I think, just felt like her dad and I are just saying that because she is our daughter. So I'm happy that you guys let her hear it from someone else. She has a real talent and her words have often inspired me. I know they do that for others as well.
Love, Connie
P.S. It couldn't hurt to make a little extra money either, Lisa. Remember you have two daughters who will be teens one day and Ayla loves "pretty dresses" now. Just wait until she hits her teens.

 ....enough already! hehee You're very sweet, Mom....although yes, I still do believe you say it cause your my Mom. I know there is much talent here at CE's....so many creative thinkers.....hiding away......calling all poets.....come out to play! In these times the modern-day poets often ramble along down the vagabond road of guitar and song..... Dead Melodies ~Beck Hanson Where will you go When this day is over A gambler's purse lays on the road Straight to your door Snakes have gone crazy winding their way out of of sight A laugh A joke A sentiment wasted Seasons of strangers they come and go Doldrums are pounding Cheapskates are clowning this town Who could disown themselves now? Engineer, slow down this old train Cinders and chaff Laugh at the moon Night-birds will cackle Rotting like apples on trees Sending their dead melodies to me.

Another poet-in-hiding....John Mellencamp. You know, I always liked his music, but not madly or anything.....but his latest work.....wow.....he is getting quite brilliant in his old age. Deep Blue Heart ~John Mellencamp Daylight is leaving And the night is closing in In just a few hours The sleeplessness begins again My head feels thick And i'm unable to think I guess I'll wait 'til tomorrow And see what it brings I have a little hope left And I guess that's someplace to start But my memory's full of a deep blue heart. My fun-loving sense of humor Is nowhere to be found I stare into my own eyes with tears flowing down I'd sing out a song But I've forgotten the tune And the words now escape me But I think it's about You. My vision now is way out in the dark With just a little sight left Of a deep blue heart. I see us both flying in the clear blue sky Floating out on the ocean With the sun in our eyes Caught in a moment Just me and you In complete honesty Where everything is true That's what I wanted to believe Right from the start Just a little place for myself In a deep blue heart Carve out a place for myself In your deep blue heart.

~~~~Girl Crazy~~~~~~ With emotions scattered like the wind, Do I e-mail white light for a cat to a friend, So I tell an old pal, soom how, or do I stall? Big dogs and me don't match at all. They guard kids and women just fine, But one whiff of me and there after my balls, And if I run, well, it's dinner time One elates in a ideal state, as her dog pulls her on her skates, Another pouts with subtle shouts, at the puppy that pees in public, I hear one so sad that she is about to cry coz her cat might die, Tears in the eyes of soulmate over a bird she didn't know, I think she would have cried for a crow! A fuss of disgust from another discovering my dead cat in the snow, Disappointment when the horse didn't show, And tears from my daughter at the sight of tack, And some of them get attached to snakes, lizards, and rats! I guy can go crazy having a girl around. I wish your pets safe from harm, for all the worlds females, but it's not charm, it's not sweet, it's not cute, it's not a special humman attibute, it's Emotional blackmale, and if you don't stop you're all going to hell
proxy, proxy....what can I say?  In a world of seeming lightness.....do you feel the missing urge to go heavy? A feeling I understand well.....although lightness is sometimes needed for starters....the first skimmings of the Deep. In order to reach the outer planets (Pluto), sometimes we have to visit the inner ones along the way. I am digging the archives today.......past reflections of another time..... You ran from me, unbelieving Ignoring the realism of tonight's dark vision. I could ignore the Truth Turn a silent ear to the wisdom of silence's prison, yet I felt your large eyes Speaking out to me --- begging for some familiar vision. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ice Frozen through My heart is solid Why do I write poems; deep feelings never to be read by a soul that might care enough to understand? February, you torture You're everyday more painful in this small city of aching snow My neighbor brothers don't realize I exist and belong to their race..... yet, why should they when I'm not sure if I belong to theirs? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A million years ago you were someone I knew Now in lost Time We wander the wreckage Blending in with the scattered landscape of soul-less strangers; gathering shrapnels of memories to feed their aching voids. As more time passes and more sand is sucked through the hungry hour-glass, Will I be able to pick you out from the hollow crowd? Will you still weigh with the burden of owning those soulful eyes? Large and weeping for tender replies?  Lisa
Travelling, yet standing still over and under climb the mountain or the hill Up close and far away percieving the dimensional shift daydream the day Clouds collect the sunshine Birds become stars The cosmic breath blows In the distance, close to me a vision of the liquid purple city beckons to me Part of the rainbow stream carries me in a moment Home...and back, to be  Rena
I was trying to reach him (I was pushing him away) The tribal midnight drew me nearer (the dawn's lamentful whisper pulled me away) Eros, beholder of passion's arrow, Your missed aim sent him away. Sweet, Sweet Soul, I see you gliding ungrounded in a dream -- intoxicating my silent slumber Yet morning's bright awakening pulls you further away.  Lisa
Time, change
People, change
Wind, change............direction
laugh
or cough.....
you fill the void......slightly.....
of still emptiness
and
total
darkness
You're a ripple
where still water
resided before....
with a quiet sigh
or breath
you fill my deep heart
that is
aching with silence.
Here a simple one I wrote for my father when he was dying.
YOU ARE NOT ALONE
The little girl that you once knew. Is grown but she still cares for you. Your face is long and oh-so-thin. But Beauty's what she sees within. Do not despair though all seems lost. Remember Jesus paid your cost. As you approach Him on His throne. Fear not for you are not alone.
Here's one I wrote on another website a few months ago. Hope you like it!
Libra Woman/Aries Man, by divinia..
Kiss me, my impetuous one. Let me fan your flames with my gentle breeze. We could talk all night of codes of honor. Shall we jest and joust. Or rest and roost? I'll leave the choice to you.
Passion...is not this what we are all about? Passion of ideals and ideas. Passion of words and actions. Must we debate this too?
Let us now take flight and soar. Balancing on the torrents until our hearts alight. Let us think not of tomorrow. For the fires transport us to the realm of the forms. Perfection! Truly we have found the Source! The smoldering embers of our passion remind us. That love is all we are.
Wow - I really need to get onto the other forums soemtiems! This thread is awesome, you are all so talented!!!  Divina! As a Libran woman, still recovering from an encounter with an Aries man, I can say your poem really spoke to me...got tears in my eyes and all! It reminds me of Linda's writings, the way you captured the essence of that relationship! This is an old one of mine, but still a favourite! Love, Terri Echoes of the Past, hiding in the Now, Time and Time and Time the endless ticking sounds, like the beating of a heart, ceaseless in its strength, Power must depart, when Love asserts her reign.
Dear Terri: Thank you so much for your kind words regarding my poem! My ex-husband was an Aries with an Aquarian Moon (my complete opposite) so I drew upon my experience with him and tried to write in the Classical style. Those Aries can be rough for us Libras. If only they weren't so darn sexy. P.S. Thank you for sharing your poem as well. I can really feel your gentleness shining through.
