High cd I`d just like to add this quote to this thread if only for a little compassionte balance to the nrg flying around here. People are becoming more and more concerned with pointing out the Beast without....while forgeting the Beast within. The two are related...it is only the illusion of separation that makes the energy of the two appear non-related. I`m still in the process of `House traing` mine. ..its a necassary need otherwise it would end up shitting all over the place.Leaving it to me to clean up the mess.Which can be a bugger a times. Nuff said Your(s) with Love in The Light&Knight pti...MUM...LOVE

the men are cold-blooded killers that rationalize all their action by the mind. They have no God.
And that's the truth...
That's not the truth, Darwin, that's racist hate-talk.
The practice of wife-burning is indeed evil, as is the custom of murdering female babies prevalent in China or the practice of stoning women to death for offenses of immodesty practiced in some extremist Muslim cultures. So is the white slavery and child pornography industry in America. Gender violence and exploitation is a worldwide problem, the product of malicious egoism supported by a patriarchal mindset that has infected virtually every culture on earth to a greater or lesser extent, waxing and waning in different populations at different times. Both the mindset and the horrendous practices it gives rise to are despicable and should be opposed in every way possible.
However, to generalize such behavior to "Indian men" is no better than Nazis pejoritively characterizing Jews or Americans pejoritively characterizing "injuns and niggers" or Islamic fundamentalist terrorists pejoritively characterizing "white devils" or any other of the long, long, waaay too long list of race-and-culture bashing that has created and maintains the hate-filled separatist world we live in. It is individuals who commit foul deeds, whether encouraged by institutions within their culture or not ... demonizing races, religions or nationalities on the basis of such generalities will not help the problem. Never has and never will. It only spreads hatred, divisiveness and prejudgement of human beings based on superficial characteristics like skin color or place of birth. This is how the powers-that-be manipulate us, by encouraging such class hatred and racial, religious and nationalistic warfare. No need for us to help them along by pasting hate labels on general groups of people.
Hate the mindset and the behavior by all means ... or better yet actively resist and work toward changing it ... but don't sloppily paste ugly labels on whole groups of people who can easily be identified by superficial criteria like race or nationality. That doesn't help the cause of loving kindness and justice in the world, it only promotes more hate and intolerance.
What's with all the anger lately Proxy? Sounds like maybe all the EMF has been fraying your brain!

Greg

In a Conspiracy to commit murder, all parties are equally guilty weather they actually had a hand in the murder (or attempted murder.)
Since the Government of India is aware of this, the men are aware of it, neighbors allow it to occur, parents arrange marriages knowing that 50 of all marriages end in devoice. Knowing that the girls (avg. age of 16) will be subjected to this treatment) grandmothers and mothers aware of this knowledge allow it. The culture and customs allow it. Therefore, they are all guilty of murder. Moreover, since it is premeditated, it is cold blooded. They don't have a leg to stand on, nor do the men or government or the older women of India have any excuses. They did it and they are guilty.
This is only one major human suffrage issue within the mystical place called India.
They have the child forced prostitution, treated as slaves.
Forced child internship of labor houses.
And the world is getting involved in the guilt by not addressing it.
India is NOT a democracy.

Quote:
India is NOT a democracy.
umm...Hello?! Isn't that taking things too far. Especially since I know for a fact that you don't have the foggiest idea what things are like in India.
I won't attempt to put a veil on things that happen here. We are not saints. Just because we have had a long tradition of meditation, spiritual leanings and all other things Indian that are a fad in the west today, doesn't mean that we have to be made out to be saints. We are not and we're not claiming to be saints! We are just as human as you. Yes, you too, Darwin.
The things you mentioned do happen. But, they do not have legal or religious sanction. They happen because of the greed of certain morally weak individuals.
I'm not a great fan of arranged marriages, myself but I know that parents do not arrange marriages for their daughters because they want them to suffer. Neighbours don't stand by to watch if they happen to know something like that is happening next door. Burning brides is not respectable behaviour. If it were, people who did it wouldn't attempt to make it look like an accident. It is like any other murder. And are you trying to tell me, there are no murders committed in America?
The government and the law enforcement mechanism will step in only if a complaint is lodged. They can't prevent it from happening no more than the Government of America or any of the Police departments there can prevent your neighbour from getting murdered without being tipped off. All they can do is pass laws to punish people who commit these crimes. Which they have already done!
Yes, child prostitution or forced prostitution of any kind is a shame on the society where it exists. But, then India shouldn't be the only one hanging her head in shame! Look at your own backyard, Mr.Proxymoon. Can you honestly say that children in America are safe from sexual maltreament?
These people you talk about are guilty and considered so. There are plenty of Indians working very hard to rid our country of this malice. More and more women and their parents are standing up against such crimes. More and more young men are breaking out of that mold of thinking which treated a wife like property. It's not yet a sweeping revolution. But, it seems to me like the start of a gradual change. That is one of our faults. We take time to change. But the change is surely happening. I can see it for myself because I live here, unlike you. I'm part of that change too. If all Indian men killed their female babies, I wouldn't be here talking to you nor would my mom be alive after giving birth to two daughters and no sons!
You say a large chunk of the population in India is under 25 years of age. I don't see how that is a crime!
Your sweeping generalisations are an insult to the Indians who do care about cleaning up the dirt in our society and an insult to those Indian men who don't subscribe to this kind of thinking!
We are not a perfect democracy as our democracy is still young and we have a lot of growing up to do. But, we're definitely as much a democracy as the United States, where neighbours prevent people from decorating their own homes like they want to, just so they can maintain property values.
Before you point a finger at another, please clean up your own backyard and make sure your own president is an elected representative the next time! Especially since, what happen in the American elections affects the whole world directly or indirectly, as unfortunate as that is.

Thanks Suchi, I was hoping you or Ani or one of our other Indian members would step in with a firsthand perspective. Greg's or Maria's separation idea, Dar? What is that? And if the outcome is none of your concern, then what was this post about? I hope you were trying to be confusing and I'm not just getting senile! Love, Greg

Greg,
What is your point?
I do not know what your separation idea is but you talk about it a lot. Something to do with people being God and we all want to get intimate with each other.
I guess you are getting senile (coz there was no confusion), and you seem to be obsessed about Nazi's and hate talk. Every time some one posts something you disagree with you bring up the same old speech. From my experience, anyone that mentions Nazis more than twice in a decade is obsessing about the dark side.
Kill the messenger seems to be the Scorpio motto on this site. I am personally attacked all the time and no one makes a noise. But if I so much as say boo to a goo-goo all hell breaks lose. Hypocrites abound here.
Yes, I had a point. There was follow up. It wasn't even my idea. It was on OPBS TV as a detailed documentary as has several been about India and it has been on my mind as something to talk about. They were filmed in India and Indians were doing the talking. No Hollywood to it.
Sucki is way off course and being defensive. It had nothing to do with the US or me. Yes, all nations are guilty of bad stuff. Feel free to start a thread and nail the US (or me) at anytime.
Nevertheless, I stand by what I said, it is true, and it is happening now, not 50 or 200 years ago.
Maybe the US and UN should cut off funding to India until it DOES clean up its shit. As there seems to be a lot of funds going to the wrong people as it is.
They have faked being a gentle giant for long enough and now it time to join the 21st Century. The Indian government and the Indian women could stop this in a matter of weeks if the wanted too. It is called changing the law and enforcing it. But the men don't want to do it for obvious reasons. Clean up will be painful and ugly, but not as bad as allowing it to continue.
35,000,000 dead girls is the world's record by any standard for atrocities.
Well, the wind is out of my sails. That all.

Hell o Proxy Yesterday i personally 4gave you and gave you the benifit of the doubt. And that your heart was truly broken by the the negativity that was going on in India. And even tho what your saying we are all aware of,as well as many other horrors in the world today. Your discourse does not seem to be helping or enlightening us or the very people your `debate` claims to be compasionate about. So on behalf of some of my Indian friends male and female who are actually doing something(at great risk)about the things your talking about.I`d like to put these quetions to you.Based on your own words and powers of logic and comppasion. 1 Quote:
"India, land of ignorant and arrogant men... Chinese dirt farmers...Mongolian horse men....Jungle tribes of South America...Deep dark congo "
-proxymoon-
Why have you used only non-white references in a sarcastic manner to make fun of what you claim to (and we all)see as a very very serious subject about people undergoing a great deal of suffering?
2 Quote:
"I have never met a man from India that I Liked. They are pushy and driven to the point of obsessive behaviour.I think they have all gone mad..." ...i think the men of India are fakes"
-proxymoon-
I`m sorry to hear you claim that you have had bad personal experiences with indian men.How many have you met.?
And pray tell me what have these personal experiences of yours, got to do with your `comppassionate plea` that something should be done to help these women.?
And are you also aware that the worlds media concentrate their energies on `feeding`us only the negative and sensational news.?
And are you aware that aswell as many women being killed there are many being saved and helped by BOTH Indian Men and women,at great risk to themselves ,not to mention the various internationl aid organisations and charities that are involved.?
3 Quote:
"I dont believe in Lexigrams"
-proxymoon-
Please could you explain what the above quote from you as got to do with people being killed in India, which you said to Greg in defense of your fisrt post on the situation in India?...I`m intriuged??
I do hope that you can defend your above quotes.
As i`m sure Proxy that you can atleast appreciate, how your above words could be interpreted as making fun of and feeding off the negativity and weakness`s,of the very people you claim to be drawing attenion to.
Along with the many Indian brothers and sisters that log on to this site...i do hope you can assure them and us of the sincerity of your words. And that you were not making fun of other poeples suffering, becouse you simply wanted some attention.
Yours in Love,light&Knight Opti

Have you ever stopped to wonder why? It's the way you say the things you do. And contrary to what you may think, it really doesn't do much good to improve the situation. But, if you want to continue to delude yourself with it, please go ahead, but don't be surprised if you fail to change much. Also, there have been many people on this site who have defended you before. Don't ignore their efforts so quickly.
Quote:
Sucki is way off course and being defensive. It had nothing to do with the US or me.
[For the 100th time, please spell my name right.] I ignored your first post because I thought you were just venting your frustration even though you made some extreme statements that reeked of prejudice. But, your second post changed it all. Of course, I got defensive. When you make a statement like India is NOT a democracy and that the US and the UN should cut off funding to India, it smacks of what is generally labelled as "American arrogance". As for you and your funding, we've already faced a number of sanctions after the nuclear tests and we survived just fine, thank you! We don't depend on your alms. It has helped in the past, but the west has time and again extracted it's pound of flesh for the "help". So, don't go acting so self-righteous and superior.
That is what I object to. If you were to present your views in a rational manner and condemn the behaviour rather than a whole race, then you would have gotten a much better response, not only from the people on this site but Indians like me.
The reason I used the US as an example was because I wanted to give an example closer to home, so you would understand the point better. Sorry, that it failed so miserably.
Quote:
The Indian government and the Indian women could stop this in a matter of weeks if the wanted too.
That just goes to show how out of touch with reality you are. If things were that easy, the world would be heaven by now!
Once more, I ask you not to stubbornly comment on or build up prejudices about things that you don't know much about.
Optimystic, thanks for bringing out some of the questions going through my mind.

Hi Proxy
I wasn't trying to make a point, I was just trying to understand what you're saying. I'm really puzzled when stuff like this comes up, because as long as I've known you here, you have seemed to flip-flop between a really open, spiritual, compassionate, loving view of humanity on one hand, and one that periodically "bashes" various groups or individuals that you disagree with, be they races, nationalities, age groups, religions or religious variations, or whatever. Obviously you don't see any inconsistency in this or you wouldn't be doing it, but it is truly puzzling to me. And I'm not the only one, as evidenced by your complaint that "if I so much as say boo to a goo-goo all hell breaks loose."
The thing is, if you had just called attention to the horrific abuse visited on some Indian women by their husbands in these situations - as I'm sure the documentary you referred to must have done - doubtless everyone here would have heartily supported your sentiments completely. It is terrible that ignorance and cruelty of this kind still flourishes in today's world, and it deserves our condemnation and efforts to put an end to it. But when you cast it in terms that generalize to India as a whole, calling the entire country undemocratic and Godless, and describing Indian men as ignorant, arrogant "cold-blooded killers," that's a different thing entirely!
Of course Indians will be insulted by such inflammatory labels, just as you or I would be insulted by being blamed for the sins of Halliburton or hearing "Americans" described as pathological liars with criminal intent! I'm quite sure the Indian narrators of the documentary you saw didn't make such generalizations about India or Indian men ... and if they had it would have raised an uproar of protest that would have overshadowed the important information they were trying to get across in the documentary (which is exactly what has happened on this thread! )
As for your observation that I am quick to link racial/ethnic/religious/national hate-labels with the errors in thinking that allowed the Nazi holocaust and other dark and brutal chapters of world history to occur, you have a point. I am very sensitive to this issue, and vocal about it. I would prefer to see it not as an "obsession" but a heightened awareness at this time when that dark energy is making itself felt in the world with a growing insistence, perhaps more visibly than at any time since the fall of the Third Reich ... and as the old saw goes, those lessons of history we do not remember, we are doomed to repeat. There are genocidal struggles going on all over the world at this time, and such struggles could not occur but for the labeling and demonization of groups of people by other groups of people. On the largest scale, not only do we have a rapidly growing Jihad movement among Islamic fundamentalists, we also have a vocal minority of Christian fundamentalists actively wishing for a "final confrontation" in the mideast, in the insane belief (my opinion) that to ignite such a war of Armageddon would be to fulfill the will of God and pave the way for the Rapture. Leave aside the implausibility of such a belief, if it were true the sheer EVIL of wishing death and destruction for the billions of people in the world in order to secure their own group's safe passage to Heaven is beyond comprehension! But it's a real belief in today's world, along with countless other competing "to hell with everybody who's not in our group" beliefs that are attracting more and more True Believers every day. So, yes, labeling and demonizing groups of people with language that makes it easy to dismiss them as unworthy or subhuman is one of my hot buttons. I think the future of humanity depends on learning to see others as ourselves rather than as despised "others." If that's an obsession, then so be it.
Love,
 Greg

Suchi......
I am embarrassed that someone from this site would say such ugly things about your country...*sigh* (I haven't forgotten the "holy cow" thing, either...[it's my Scorpio Rising])....
...and like Natalie our "Dixie Chick," I am embarrased that George Bush is the president of our country.
...but I realize you are wise enough to not "lump all of us together" here in the USA....
...as our own Christian Jesus (whom the verbal attacker of your country is supposed to believe in)...would say..."Forgive them, for they know not what they do."
...or in this case...forgive "him."
...also consider the source....
Love,
Rainbow

Hello Proxymoon At the time of writing this its friday 23rd April and I`ve only just now been able to get back to note your response`s (and lack of response) to to Greg, me and more importantly Suchi(not Sucki).Whom as an Indian Woman represents the very people that your discourse implies to be `compassionate` about. Your silence on my questions to your own words....spoke volumes to me and every one else. And I am truely shocked, sadden and regrettably angered by your attitude. Shocked!, because Greg and Suchi with great patience, self-control and love, have spent quality time responding to you and you have missed&dissed their respective and valid points of view and feelings. On a very weighty and sensitive matter that YOU raised ,but now dismiss lightly with the words; "very eloquent as usual, Greg , Thanks J Onwards and upwards, Darwin" What kind of human being are you?......Could you not FEEL their pain, in their patient words to you.? And what are you thanking them for.....for giving you a good hearty FEED on their pain? "Onwards and upwards"Does this mean another level won in your demonic d-evolution...Darwin? Saddend because it is blatantly obvious now that you are someone carrying a great deal of hate and anger around inside of you....Which in turn is born out of deeper burden of Great pain that you are refusing to acknowledge or release. Darwin you are projecting this pain subconsciously onto others and allowing your animal to dominate your humanitiy. The animal is your uncontrolled lower(horizontal)Serpent/Dragon nrg.You should be working to raise your `snake in the grass` to the higher nrg of the Vertical SerpenT/Dragon with Healing in its Wings. You may well dismiss this, but Darwin when you cross over,"Don't even think about saying "Well nobody told me?". I am angered because you are one of those people who obviously takes other peoples love and kindness towards you as a sign of weakness. So in the same way that those misguided fearful ones in India pour petrol on women and set them on fire. You took pleasure in burning/taunting the sensitive natures and souls of Greg and Suchi. And God only knows how many others your words have burned. But enuff is enuff Darwin. Let me enlighten you my nrg. I am not just any poet i am a warrior poet, and not only do I allow my Spiritual/creativity to act as a channel for the expression of Divine Love, Divine Math and Divine Harmony...but also occasionally Divine Wrath!. Which is what this apostle has been full of.And believe it or not Darwin I have genuinely forgiven you,and for the next 7 days I will be sending you Love&Light .(And I ask others to join me in this) But you and your kind from this year on will learn the important lesson that Love is far from Weak and will not be continually mocked.Love is the same as Truth it has two ways of Loving you which is dependent on your own capacity. Truth hurts only if there is a belief in a Lie.Truth contains the word Ruth,Which in Hebrew means Beauty. And of course to the well intentioned and pure/light hearted Human She is indeed beautifull. However to the lower/Serpent natured human the Truth indeed Hurts, and appeaer as tho it were the very Devil itself. But Darwin fear not you shall still be loved...but you shall be given Tough love. And so What is good for the Goose is good for the Gander. You called for a Boycott....and so you shall in turn be Boycotted until you set free the Truth in the form of a Sincere Apology(not to me,for this wrath is not from me but thru me).To all those you may have offended with your rascism. The Apartheid regime in South Africa flourished has it fed on the suffering and domination of others, and it was only till Love stood up together around the World and refused to have any dealings with it, that the truth was set free. And so Darwin, if I have learnt anything it is that I refuse to be involved with any of your posts until you set the truth free. You shall not feed it so easy to `feed `of others in the future anymore,It should be obvious to others now that ,it is a waste of time and energy to deal with forums in the world community with some one who hates the non-white community as much as you do,I suspect you have a `issue` with the women in general as well. So you can rant and rave as much as you want, we ALL have freedom of speech. But I for one wont be listening until you wake up out of that bad Dream that your in. Your `tree` does not bear good fruit Darwin, they are poisonous and spiteful. But one day maybe you can learn to turn your self around and plant your roots in Heaven. But in the meantime, Darwin the people on this site whom you so ironically refer to has hypocrites are not the ones who have` killed` you the Messenger (of hate and fear). It is you yourself and your own Sword(words) that has brought to you.... ......`DEATH` BY PROXY!!! If you wish to present honest ,balanced Noble posts, then understand Darwin that they should contain NO `BULL`..... I`ll leave it to you to fill in the blank Yours Sincerely with Tough Love in The Light&Knight Opti...Mum...Love PS Today,at the time of writing this, in England it is ST GEORGES DAY,another Divine irony of ironies for you to ponder on Darwin J . And Darwin Know that, it still hurts the racist(ray ceased)in England when they find out that George was`nt English at all, but was actually a palestinian who did an heroic deed that impressed and inspired the Crusaders to make him the Guardian of England. Only you have the power Darwin to wallow in your animal nature or to tame it. It is called "the last Battle".And I wish you well in it. . PSS Thanks for allowing me to show others on an ordinary everyday level, how the lower serpent energy in Humanity sneaks and worms its way into our lives, and the various ways this nrg tries to undermine us,mock and generally try to weaken our heart energy. `TRY` being the operative word here. I`ll leave you with the words of the Desiderata, whom although the name of its Author is unknown, the words and energy that is contained within this master-peace `betray` it as a work of a Master Avatar because it s energy is pure christos. Go placidly amid the noise & haste & remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly & clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter, for always there will be greater & lesser persons than yourself/Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself . Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity & disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the counsel of the years ,gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue & loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the Universe, no less than the stars & the tree`s & the stars ; you have a right to be here. And weather or not it is clear to you, no doubt that the universe is unfolding as it should. There for be at Peace with God. Whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labours & aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery & broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. The above words will go a long way to cleansing the ill smelling odour of this thread before it has a chance to contaminate the rest of this Site/Garden. As far as I am concerned this subject is dead....even tho LOVE has already forgiven Darwin and his like...they shall not truly be Free & Raised from the `Dead` until they have forgiven themselves. For this is not about Darwin, it is about the nrg that Darwin represents and seems to uphold, and so because this Tree does not "bring forth good fruit" .Trust in LOVE that weather you are alive to see it or not, KNOW NOW that before this Century is over your children and your childrens children will be able to play and walk in this Garden(which in the universe is one of many) Without fear of being devoured. Blessed be the Children that sit happily under there own Tree, for none shall make them afraid. Nuff said.

Hello Mystic
I rarely visit the World Community forum. Mainly because many things being discussed here relate directly to america and I feel I have no locus standi to comment thereupon. But I do, once in a while, peep in and today when I did, I saw this thread My first reaction was anger (being an indian myself, and a proud one at that). But that was an initial reaction. As you become familiar with these forums, you'll realise that every once in a while Proxymoon will make a comment that is guaranteed to make most people on the site hit the ceiling (like I did when I first read this thread). But proxy's proxy because he is like that only (remaining portion of the time he'll be making you ROFL). On this site you also get people like Rainbow, who have hearts huge enough to fit the whole world in (including those arrogant and ignorant bunch of indian men proxymoon's referring to). And then, you have guys like Greg who immediately see through the wrapping paper and focus on the core - the real issue (which, in this case, was atrocities against the female gender).
What I am trying to tell you Mystic is that if we continue hammering proxymoon, the real issue gets lost. Someone's made a comment, maybe a rather tasteless one, but okay, let's forget it. we are the way we are because we are made of equal (or unequal) parts of black and white
So, let's not focus on individuals here. let's see why they reacted the way they did and direct our fights there

btw, greetings to you on st george's day. my english history is a bit woolly so pardon my ignorance when i ask, is he the one who slayed the dragon and is he the one whose cross you have on the your flag?
Hi suchi made up your mind on whom to vote for ? are they using EVMs there too? And is it Ram Naik who's contesting from your area?

lol. I wish. For a while I was seriously considering the protest vote option. But, I think I'll vote. My problem is that I don't agree with the idealogies of the ruling party. They've given me the creeps ever since they came into power. But, the other option isn't quite ready to put up a defense. The Congress is probably at it's weakest at this time. I have a feeling Sonia Gandhi is preparing the ground for Rahul or perhaps even Priyanka to take over. I doubt she's really after the prime ministership. I don't so much mind that she's of Italian origin. She's an Indian citizen and has lived in India for a great part of her life now. That's good enough for me. My problem is with her political inexperience and the fear that she may be a puppet in the hands of her advisors. Besides that, both parties have had their share of scandals. So, it isn't an appetizing choice. I initially thought, I'd vote against the BJP if only in protest for what happened in Gujrat. But, guess who the Congress is fielding from my constituency? Govinda! So, that's my problem. Do I vote against the person or do I vote against the party? Neither people are particular favourites with me and one party I want out of power, but the other doesn't seem strong enough for the task. So, there are my thoughts for now. I bet I'm going to be making up mind right up to the last minute
And yes, it's Ram Naik who's representing BJP here. He's been winning continuously for nearly a decade now.
I'm not sure if we're going to have EVMs here. This is my first election and my uncle says that they had ballot papers last time. For that matter, I think they had them during the last state assembly elections too. So, I'm not sure. EVMs seem to be widely used in this election.
What do you think about them? The EVMs I mean.

Given a choice between Ram Naik and Govinda I'd definitely not go for Govinda (heh heh, I was underage when AB contested from Allahabad, but i was one of the few of his non-supporters ). EVMs are cool. You pres a button and that's it. I've never been comfortable with ballot papers because I always have this lingering doubt in my mind as to whether the ink on the stamp had dried before i could stamp it and whether, therefore, because of the faintness of the stamp, my vote will be rejected
I agree with you about the congress being a weak non-entity at this point of time. Imagine, that lady-with-the-pinned-hair actually thought Sheila Dixit was a threat to her If that's the state of the "central command" of congress and if all their energies are directed at sidelining people like dixit and manmohan singh just because they're not family, I'll go for atal behari any day...but that's just my 2 cents worth and i've already cast my vote on 20th. (last tuesday) now its your turn.
P.S. I think the krishna govt (congress) will win again in the assembly elections here but for the parliamentary seats, I am not so sure.....

Hm...they say the EVMs are harder to rig as well. But, the again machines aren't fool proof either. I really don't want to vote for Ram Naik. Casting a vote for him is supporting the BJP. May be I would have if it were for the state assembly (more directly related to local issues) and if they weren't in an alliance with the Shiv Sena which worse than the BJP. Granted the BJP have toned down their extremism a great deal because of their coalition allies. But, I fear that if they were to get a clear cut majority and didn't have to dance to their allies' tunes they would go right back to the extremism they started off with. I don't think they are good for the country in the long run. And all the achievements they are harping about had their foundations laid long before they came into power. And really, where is "India Shining"? I don't see it in my locality

Opt, Welcome to the magical land called "Between your Ears." Image is everything, as the bald headed tennis player once said. But perception is a prism of prisons by design. I have mine and you have yours. We all do. And in the natural flow of human interaction of group dynamics, all emotions, values, actions, over time are huffed and puffed until there is a group definition. Some may be repressed; some in charge, the reasons and purpose of the group could be on any point of the line on any scale concerning the human condition. We all have to face these everyday in our BIG ROOM (hacker talk for outdoors). Each group has laws and regulations which some members like and others don't. Therefore, some members are constantly upset and trying to change the group while others think the group is all peaches and cream. It's called life. Now, if I understood Rainbow's post correctly (in the thread next to this one) her plea is the epitome of such extreme, calling for a balance condition which we joking say around about, "Why can't we all just get along?" My reply is that for the most part, "WE (on CE and other groups) do get along. It is very difficult to utilize a real dragon on a web page and my pixel sword is very hard to move. Now, I may totally agree with Rainbow's idea (and I too was snickering in my sleeve as the old goat has been holding out on us.) in the BIG ROOM. But I for one think if we all gravitated to the common energy of the mentality of the dominate members of a learning and teaching environment, the class room would be run by 8th graders. Your long projection of hurt from rejection speech came from no other source than within your world of mind, feeling and views. I try to address issues that are boiling in the BIG ROOM, for many never go out side of their prison. I have my own furniture and views that I struggle with and yes, just like your speech, I have projected. In fact, a search thru the post history would reveal 10's of posts, if not a few hundred, with clichés almost per barium contained in your dragon dump. Until we know, we don't know. As for the racist talk, that too came from you. I only stated my opinion, my experience, and the comparisons to other groups. I think the Cheese farmers are incredible men, the valleys inside China look like gardens. To watch families prepare a meal from scratch over a pot of boiling water and a wok complete with fresh egg noodles blows me away. The Mongolian horsemen have unblemished Integrity compared to the world. Now as far as compassion goes, maybe I'm lacking in the expression of it. Maybe I could dig thru the drawers and find some. However, there are better equipped Knowflakes for that task. I'd rather be a jerk with Integrity (what little I have) than a luke warm pile of BULL. I tend to think in terms of tolerance more than peace. For those coming around masquerading as Guru's, I can only by nature, toss them back into their own BIG ROOM. I learn a lot here, but I wasn't born yesterday. Now the energy IS saying to trun it over to the next generation. And I agree (with the energy, not the generation), and I have been trying to do that for a few months. Even my son and daughter are acting different. But I seem to be called back due to popular demand, no, more like a lack of teachers of the BIG ROOM. So go play outside and you will see that the issues are far from dead, only ingored. Have a nice day. Darwin

Darwin,
Maybe your intention was not to hurt with your words, but you often do (in the case of this thread). Is an apology that difficult of a thing to do?
Opti makes some good points without really being hurtful... he came on a bit strong (and had a lot to say), but was not hurtful (although it is not fun to be used as an example). Very enlightened/enlightening IMHO, and I will join him in his request for prayers of Love & Light for you.
Something that I thought was very interesting was his posting of Desiderada which you posted not all that long ago. So maybe you are more like minded than you think.

No, I wasn't expecting one from you I was just saying that my gut feeling about them makes me very uneasy. Even if I come to the point where I have no choice but to vote for them someday, I'll still be suspicious of their motives and watch their moves like a hawk.

Higher There Ani I Feel that you are genuinely concerned along with others but please `Overstand` that you are `partnering` your compassionate sincerity with an insincere and old world colonial mentality. There is nothing wrong in loving or forgiving those who would hurt us or mock Us , infact it is to be encouragd. Indeed I have sent proxy love &light every night since I gave him back his own medicine. ;) Like I`ve just said it is the old colonial mentality deluded by thinking its `energy` still belongs in the 21st century. And not one crocodile tear or drop of sarcastic wit shall wipe out a word of it. Except for a geniuine and sincere apology. Love should always be given freely Ani(you already innately know this), but Ani Trust should be earned, if it is given away too cheaply, then please do not be offended and `hit the roof` when your trust his thrown back in your face. With all respect Ani,i personally feelthat if you wish to respect the situation over in India in this forum, aswell as similar situations around the world. Then you would do more for that situation(than you may realise)by starting your own thread on this situation, than continuing to carry on your heartfelt discussions under the mocking Heading of a thread entitled `India Land of the ignorant and arrogant men`. Your own father was born in India was he not?. Gandi was born there....India has given countless births to beautiful humans, literature, art, and music. Please think before planting your own beautiful seeds on hard and unfeeling ground. They deserve to germinate in more fertile soil and souls. Its amazing to me that his `energy` has been allowed to grow so strong .I`ve read enuff of LG herself to know she would not tolerate racism never mind condone it under the guise of "its only proxy, he does that now and again" The sacred temple was only able to be defiled by the money changers because people did`nt have enuff respect for the sacred site. Wake up...Ani, this is not about Proxy the individual its about the energy he represents. Mandela and Gandi taught us to never to bow or become apathetic to it...because it would smile in your face only to come back when you least expect it, to bite you another day....and terrorize over the children that come after you.Dont think about what i`m saying.... Feelit. Start your own thread Ani, becouse the purer and more sincere the better, it will all go towards softening the situation in India and around the world. The power of just one sincere loving thought (or thread) has real power more than the world realises or acknowledges. But its Heart-power can be weakened by that which are" vexations to the spirit.". Start your own golden thread. Unlike me computers seem to be his strong point and I`m sure his knowledge has helped many....so"render unto Caesar that which is his...." But yes my thread was dark but atleast it was sincere. And has veneo so rightly pointed out, me and Proxy are maybe similar...yes I agree we both spoke in anger and we are both `messengers`...and we were both `projecting` from a place of pain....but that's where it ends....think about this long enuff(and go back to both our words) and you will `Overstand` there is a big diference in our motivation and goals. Thank you Veneo in joining with me in sending love&light to Darwin. And I again ask others to join us in this. Also I find that when I`m angered or sadden. I have come to believe that it helps the world greatly and in turn ourselves...to sometimes imagine/visualise the world(and its suffering) bathed in Love&Light....not just India... America...Australia or Britain. Insulting India and its women(ie,suchi) is not the way of enlightened discussion, if you think it is then by all means stay on the energy of this thread..... .but LOVE well Ani ,I guess that's another thread. You asked if the George I mentioned in `my wrath` was the Same George and the Dragon. Yes he is ,we in England have spent the last weekend re-membering and celebrating.(23rd April its also the birth of another warrior poet, who makes me look like a retard,ie,.....William Shakespere. My personal re-membering of the 23rd April, is not a patriotic one, but more esoteric. But yes the red cross is his, but this red cross on a white background was added by the Crusaders...who weren't exactly saints themselves, this has to be said. The Dragon in the story symbolises the lower serpent nature in humans that needs to be tamed rather than killed. I wrote an apostle to Evy last month that explains this lower wingless serpent nature more.(I accidentley placed it on the wrong thread, but I think its on starchat) This story also esoterically relates to the `cleansing` of certain crossroads of energy, ie, leylines(Dragon Paths). This is definitely the last time I speak on this thread, I`m sorry but to me,(because of its title) it is `dead`. Personally I am not looking for an apology from Proxy, but to people such as yourself and your nation in general. Nor, you will note has there been any recognition that there is any need for an apology. You seem to be not concerned that in the future he will make you` hit the roof again`, simply for some attention. Well that is your free will choice, but with all respect, I`d rather avoid vexations to my spirit. I have made an exception by coming back to this thread because of points made and questions asked of me by you. Ani....JC said "do unto others has you would have them do unto you". If I fell asleep I would love for someone to bless and shake me awake with love or the wrath of love, whatever it took. Proxy merely forgot this universal law of cause and effect. And has failed to appreciate his own medicine that he so freely prescribes to others regardless of weather they have asked for it or not. You should note that there is not one loving word in his first dicourse. "We reap what we sow", and so shall it be done to me. I have given more to this site than I have took from it. There`s no need other than for love, for me to be trying so hard for total `strangers`, me a mere newbie! I have three or four more posts to answer, so before this month is done I`ve decided to take a rest, I`m off on holiday for a month, I need to recharge and go back to my trusty pencil and paper. Remember Ruth symbolises Beauty and she is in Truth, be Loving but neither be weak, be Firm and stand your ground....it is far more stronger and nobler than being... Ruthless. Remember this and you shall always enter thru the Gate. Nuff said. Take Care. Your(s) with Love in The Light&Knight pti...Mum...LOVE Ps "The world belongs to the optimists, The pessimists merely the spectators" - P GUAGIN -

I understand where you are coming from, Opti. And it seems to me that Proxy is not the only one here who needs prayer and healing. I sense pain and hurt feelings of indignation in your words. And it's probably about more than Proxy's words here. It maybe incidents in your past or that of those close to you. As it is for me, because when I think of racism, I think of colonial rule in India and how my ancestors were treated. Although, I've never had to directly face racism of any kind, I am sensitive to the issue and hence can relate to the way you feel. But, I've learnt that sometimes, in my zeal to defend the underdog, I read a lot more into the actions of the "guilty" party than is actually realistic. I'm still undecided on the question of whether Proxy is racist or not. He is stubborn and has strong opinions about a lot of things (some of which rub me the wrong way), but he can also be incredibly open-minded about some things on other occasions. So, I really don't know, whether he truly is as prejudiced as to be racist or whether it's just one of his mood swings taken to an extreme where he snaps at the first thing that irritates him and lets things get out of hand. Sorry to discuss you like this, Darwin. But, I thought since I consider you my friend, I needed to let Opti know what I know about you, because he may be blaming you for more than what you deserve blame for. Yes, Opti, Proxy is my friend and we've disagreed on things before and in my interaction with him over the past year or so, he's been very nice to me. Not exactly what you would expect from a racist. Nah, he isn't as bad as you think he is, but he has some really bad habits that might need the kind of tough love you're trying to mete out That is why I didn't want to interfere except to make sure you didn't totally misunderstand him. I feel like I'm walking a tight-rope, so I'll end my little speech and respect your idea of putting an end to this thread. That is how I feel about it too.
