Sorry, I've been out of town...

I guess first of all I should say I must quit falling for these advertising promos! They made it sound like a 30 minutes segment on the Da Vinci Code and it was actually more like 5 minutes.

And the debunkers...fundamentalist writers that reminded me of the guys who wrote all those Left Behind books. It wasn't them but it was that mentality. They basically said Brown's book is wrong because it isn't supported by accepted church doctrine. Well...we already knew that!

I have seen their books in the local book stores. It will be interesting to see how the sales of THOSE books do compared to Dan Brown's books. Interesting times!!

Oops...I fell for it again!

This morning on the Today show there was another "5 minute" segment with those same writers and they said there will be as many as a dozen books out by this summer to "debunk" the Da Vinci Code. Matt Lauer asked if perhaps thee does protest too much??
Again...their answer was it's not supported by the New Testament so therefore it CAN'T be true.
Matt said, it's not like the church has always been forthcoming and out in the open about everything.
They didn't quite have a response to that one. I can't wait till the movie comes out...that will really get the discussions going again!!

I always fall for it too and it`s always just a blurb . But in this case, five minutes covered the whole debunking theory.
