Im still reading Da Vinci Code, and have watched a few shows about the book, seen an interview with Dan Brown and before that followed the last few pages of the thread Kel started last year.
I came across dragoncourt earlier this year, seeing the UBB threads had me thinking of Gregory, but didnt get to read much more than whatever it was that I was doing there.

oh yeah! In March I got a book called "Working with Dragons" A course in Dragonology by Ernest Drake. There was an earlier book "Dragonology, The Complete Book Of Dragons" as well...while this may be seen as a childrens book, I absolutely Love It! it has pages of stickers and is so Magically presented. The artists work is incredible, all the different types of dragons, runic alphabet...it even has a couple of green cabochins imbedded in the front cover which is Red...

INDIGO is a film about redemption, grace and the healing powers of a new generation of psychic and gifted ' Indigo' children. The Soul feels the need to serve because that is its nature. Not "someone," but ONE. In the Grail lore it is said that he who would rule all must be the servant of all ... and the I Ching says, "To rule truly is to serve." The desire to serve is no weakness, it is our very nature as spiritual beings.

That said, it is often misdirected toward serving those who would control and manipulate us, whether that be Kings or Priests or Presidents or Gurus. Service is not slavery ... it is the free expression of our divine Love. Service that is compelled, however, IS slavery ... whether the compulsion is guilt, fear, poverty or the muzzle of a gun.

Dogon: an african tribe who knew the stars

In the '50's two french anthropologists, Germain Dieterlen and Marcel Griaule, spent some years among the dogons. They published an article on the experience in "Journal de la société des Africanistes" called "Un System Soudanais de Sirius".
In the 60's Robert K.G. Temple got to know the article, which he used as a base for his book, "The Sirius Mystery". What was it all about? Well, the fact is that the dogon showed an impossible knowledge about the stars and the planet.

The dogon had a ceremony called Sigui: the priests of the tribe, wearing masks, performed a complex ritual dance. It was a renewal ceremony, based on the apparent movement of Sirius, known as the dog star, located in the "Canis Maior" constellation, a little below Orion.
The amazing disclosure about the dogon tribe was that they knew of much more than Sirius, which was the base of this ritual ceremony.

They knew the existence of Sirius B, a white dwarf of extreme density belonging to the Sirius system as a twin star of Sirius A, and back then mostly unknown and barely visible with a very powerful telescope.
In fact, it was not until 1970 that Sirius B was photographed for the first time by Irving Lindenblad.
Marcel Griaule had been told the secret religious knowledge of the dogon, after a proper ritual preparation. The dogon claimed they had known about Sirius B, which they called the Digitary star, by fish-like beings called Nommo, who came from Sirius thousands of years before.
Their ritual masks, hundreds of years old, are all about the Sirius cult. Further more, dogon knew the Moon is dry and dead, they knew the Saturn rings and the Jupiter moons.

Robert Temple claimed the dogon had received such knowledge from the Egyptians, which considered Sirius as a sacred star identified with Isis since year 3.200 BC. But I would like to point out a remark of Germain Dieterlen: she reminded us that also the Babylonians had a creation myth which talked about fish-like Gods who came and created their civilization. Though all of this is speculation, the fact is that the dogon tribe had a star religion based on an incredibly advanced star knowledge which they could not have learned but in an unknown way, no matter if they have been taught by the Nommo, by the Egyptians, or by anyone else. It tells about a mystery, whatever way we look at it.

Erich von Däniken would take it as an evidence of the existence of extraterrestrial beings who came on earth several thousands of years ago; Someone else would and could claim there has been an ancient civilization which was world wide and had reached a very high technological level and a very deep knowledge, which then fell due to some earth disaster (...like a universal flood or such huge things...), which left some knowledge bit here and there. That would even explain a huge amount of similarity talking myths, creation tales, traditions, legends, in the most different and farthest cultures or populations.........
