As for who the lurkers are... I'm not sure about that, but I know a lot of people don't always sign in just to read... often times I'll check out if there are new posts and such without signing in myself. I only usually sign in if I plan to post or see if I have any pm's.

Let me ,put it another way Veneo, i don`t go round telling people i am strongly `psychic`...beecouse `psychic` is not da correct term , i`ve not discovered yet da rite word 4it. But i guess linda Goodman along with Carl.G.Jung are da onlY two that i have come across, who seem 2 not only understand da process/experience, but who seem 2Overstand it,ie, they have personal direct/experience, THAT THEY ARE ABLE 2EXPRESS ELOQUENTLY,Unlike me.

Where LG refers Higher S*elf connection, C.G.Jung refers 2da Collective Consciousness.They are one &da same thing&no-thing.

Inn everday life, people in general, nevermind `psychic powers`, can usually tell when sumone is looking at them ,or have a `feeling` of beeing `watched`.Mines a little like that, & alot not like that.

I`ve never believed in Psychic help-lines,beecouse i did`nt believe that you could suss sumone out over da phone.But my own experince on this site&DC ,HAS LEFT ME EATING A LITTLE HUMBLE PIE.Nuff said, Already!.

I got ya, and understand completely... have had those experiences myself.

Oh, and before I forget... we have a big thread here on The Da Vinci Code , I think it's this forum if you want to check it out. It's a big-in (short for big one ) as the little one's in Kentucky say.

Kel, It IS a big-n, and lots and lots of us enjoyed it a lot!

The thing I kept trying to remember to get back to that thread and say, but never did, is that once you get to the end of the novel -- and you find out who the LIAR is in the book, which I won't ruin for those who haven't read it yet -- then you have to go back through all of the "information" you think you have picked up from the book and re-sift it in light of the fact that most of it comes from the person who turns out to be lying a huge percentage of the time because of their own selfish motivations!

After reading the Da Vinci Code, I read cover-to-cover The Gnostic Gospels, which I had started a couple of times before, but never finished, and I also got out other history of religion books by good, recent, no-nonsense, no-religion scholars, and I also got out my heavily footnoted scholarly Oxford-published Catholic Bible.

And I've got bunches of pages scanned from the Da Vinci Code and cross-referenced and footnoted with those sources, and I can tell you definitively, the character who is the liar in the book not only lies about supposed facts about the Catholic Church, he also lies about the early church and the Gnostics!

See, Opti, it's perfectly "OK" for a novelist to do that, where he then later reveals the person for a liar, but then it's an intellectual challenge for the reader to discover any sort of truth you can hang your hat on. As Greg and I used to remind each other ... It's not so much what you don't know that is a problem. It's what you think you do know that actually isn't true that can be a real problem.

It is a sign of the old religions dying, I do not pay much attention to them or to the people who find that sort of thing important. I started reading it "boy is this dumb" Another conspiracy with the Catholic Church and an alternate ending for Jesus, Yeah that is a new tale. Now the real interesting story to me is about the cover up of the Dead Sea Scrolls. That shows the moral corruption of the entire institution, in no uncertain terms and the fear based actions of those involved.
