~Melancholia The Mother Of Changes~
The world has become even more strange of late... Just when I thought it was safe to get back into the water... The earth has gone all flat, metaphorically speaking... And the seas pour out into nothingness... Perhaps it is only the season and Spring will bring renewal... And reorb this flattened plane... But for now the quest of sleep perchance to dream in lucidities... Until the manisfestation of some proof... The seed's viability and vitality.. And a phoenix crispened rises up again. From stone and ash cold.. Movement deep...and far.. The pale moon takes on a blush.. And meteors fall like tears. BFM 2006

So happy to have you here, Soloc. Have been reading your beautiful gems all around the forums. I also hold great awe for melancholia, as a sea out of which poetry so often arises ... the understandings of the deep. Hugs, Maria

Dear Soloc, I echo that I am enjoying your posts, and this poem. The image of the 'flattened earth' has come up for me lately, first in a friend's dream. The flattened earth could symbolize the horizontal plane, the leveling that shows the equality in all brotherhood, and so the melancholia brought by this process as only temporary; and the dreaming and the phoenix which rises along the vertical plane that connects us to Source. Thank you for sharing your wonderful poetry.

Hi Soloc, Your poem is beautiful! I must say that it represents a part of a dream I had a few weeks ago. I had this deep intense dream of soldiers walking upon my place and making way to the edge of our grounds which is cliffs. As they made their way into the cliffs, they came upon a turkey"strange I know, yet I'm sure it was a representation of something"...One of them caught this turkey and was sharing the excitement of doing so....Then as they proceeded to climb the cliffs edge it all of a sudden became a flatland...As I witnessed this I felt such a loss but then, all of a sudden their was a huge, I mean Thousands of people gathered in my yard"representing a nation"...and we all stood united, observing the open plane"flatland"...and this occurance was so overwhelming to me that I made my way into my home to escape it and found inside that the floors were covered with crumbled stones,....blocks, or something of the sort...Soot from them everywhere! I was thinking in my mind "How! could I clean up this mess"...and I asked a group of children making way around the house, 'Who did this?" and one of the boys said,"He did"....Having to lay blame upon someone I suppose and then as I proceeded to try sweeping up the cinders and dust and getting nowhere I awoke... Too that the particular part of your poem fell in place with my dream.... Thanks for sharing Bren~

Chakrena Thank you! I find your dream intriguing and do not find the turkey odd. Several people I know have been having similar dreams, with such elements as cliffs. soldiers, crowds , children, and sweeping up/cleaning. And yes, even the turkey! Not sure what it means; and conventional dream analysis may or may not apply. Is it all symbolic, or precog in part? Very interesting indeed. Thanks again! Love Soloc

Too wild Soloc that other people have seen this vision in a dream. I must say, this dream was one of those that when one awakes from it the feeling of truly living it absorbs ones conscious state. I've gotta get my Medicine Cards that I left at my parents and read the definition of Turkey... A couple of months ago I was traveling down a winding country road and was in deep thought of something and all of a sudden here came Turkey running out in front of me. I came to a sudden hault to keep from hitting one and I thought, What is this message..So, Turkey is most significant these days. stuff. Please, anyone out there that has had a similar dream or a Turkey experience, do share.

I had a raven teacher. In one of my most memorable dreams, after he quit the planet, I was a bluebird and a raven was chasing me. Lol, "Get a move on, girl." Funny, because in life he was always making me slow down. Time and a place for everything, eh? Maria

Listen to Trees 7 Soloc, I've heard the phrase,"Beam me up Scottie", for years..But now I understand. The more we evolve upon this earthplane the more we long to escape the madness. Bren~
