hey folks, \:\)

For many years now, I've felt as though my place of "birth" was just that, my place of birth alone, and not my "home." I happen to love Canada, it's a beautiful country, but I'm beginning to feel some major wanderlust...

(Anyone out there who can relate?) \:D

Anyway, when I heard about astrocartography, (on http://www.astro.com) I figured YES, that's the approach I need! The thing is, there are so many options...

There appear to be many locations that would be 'good,' so to speak, but determining which would be best is proving more difficult than not. For example, a Venus/AC 'place' might be good, but so would a Jupiter/MC 'place.'

I'm usually pretty good at trusting my intuition, but truth be told, I just can't make up my mind!

Anyone out there know about this stuff, and whether or not it is something that I can bank on?

Tara \:\)

Tara, \:\) Sounds interesting! I will have to go and have a look myself.. I have a heck of a time making decisions cos of my libra asc.. so i have to go on intuition, Mind you I love numerology, so I like to look at numbers, and Linda tought me a lot. So where I have lived over the years, I have always looked at the house number, name of street etc...my current house number is 84 the two Karmic numbers... both positive and negative...maybe they cancel themselves out and that is why I love my Home...It's neutral?! besides all that, LIVE where your heart says is Home..the rest will fall into place Love, Light and Laughter Susan

hey Susan

Did you get a chance to check out the site? Cool stuff, huh? \:\)

Hey, Libra rising... yikes, for a fire sign like Aries, I can imagine it would be tough to make decisions at times! I'm pleased that someone can relate! I've got Sag rising, with Libra ruling my 10th house, which makes me feel as though "the grass is always greener..." somewhere else! \:D

(And being in my 30's without any defined career path is proving quite frustrating! )

The cool thing is, speaking of numerology, I recently moved from an '8' address (my name number, and not a very pleasant karmic number for me) to a '77' address, which reduces to a '5,' which is my birth number; one that's never let me down, hahaha... \:\)

I like what you say about living where the is.. if only I could find mine! Seriously, there are so many places I would love to be, it's confusing to figure out which one is mine, know what I mean?

Tara

Susan and Tara,

Astrocartography is a very good and useful tool - and it is complicated... The lines are helpful in figuring out where one's energy is mapped on the planet. I am pretty sure that somewhere sometime I have dealt with this before on the site (there isn't much that I haven't!) and the best thing for both of you would be to do a search, and if you find anything, link it to this thread...

Love

Dave

hey alright, Dave... to the archives it is!

I'm beginning to get a feeling on something too, which hopefully is my intuition kicking in. \:\) I've discovered I've got friends living smack on on my Jupiter/MC line, and we're planning a visit this summer; perhaps I'll get a cool 'vibe' once I get there! ;\)

hiya Susan \:\)

hey, so you just found you've got Aries rising instead? Wow! So a Fire/Fire combo, just like me. We've got opposite Moons, though; mine is in Virgo. In fact, most of my chart is in Virgo, heheh...

(I like to tell people that on the outside I'm all fire, but on the inside I'm all DIRT. ;\) )

I've just spent some time going over the addresses of all the places I've lived in for the past several years; a bunch of 17's and basic 8's... ugh! So from now on, I'm focussing on more positive numbers for myself. I like anything that reduces to a '5,' (especially 32's), and I've always had luck with the number 23, which is my full name number.

So, definitely looking forward to my new '77' place!

Hi All,

What an interesting & very subject, Tara. I think it would be so awesome to visit the places where some of the best lines run, like the Venus or Mars ones. ;\)

So you got wanderlust, do ya? I have to say that I get this alot myself - and I don't even have any Sag in me. LOL But I do have Mercury on my Ascendant and Jupiter on my IC, so maybe that's where I get it. I seem to be drawn to California for some reason, and I don't even have any lines running through there. Go figure!

I do live fairly close to my Jupiter/IC line as coincidence or fate would have it. MY Mercury/ASC and Jupiter/IC line cross in Canada - somewhere close to St. Felicien, Quebec. According to the info at Astro.com the point where these two particular lines cross is known as the "Gateway to the World" and is where mental activities and social contacts would be increased. So what in the heck am I waiting for, right? LOL It sounds like a good vacation spot, especially with summer so soon upon us.

So who wants to share where they have interesting lines crossing on their maps? \:D

Peace, Love, Light & Hugs,
Tracey

A funny story. Years ago, I was "attracted" to an English actress (who will remain nameless!) and got her birth data and basically that was all I ever did with it. Then, for some reason after I had done my map, I realized that my Venus IC line went straight through England west of London, and got curious - yes, it went right through the town where she had been born!

Hey all, \:\)

Well, thought I'd bring this topic back up to the top!

Although, right now one of my favourite places, (and where I hope to settle once I'm old and rich and senile) is being slammed by Hurricane Dean. \:\(

Hang in there, Jamaica!

So what lines do you have in Jamaica Tara? Have you been there yet? I forget what I have there... may have to go and look it up. It's been awhile since I have looked at Astrocartography.

Speaking of Jamaica... we are going back for our 6th Anniv! Thankfully she survived the hurricane and should be cleaned up enough by mid Oct.

hey, Kelly \:D

Congrats to you and Troy on your 6th!
Let's see if memory serves correctly... is it the 20th of October? ;\) At any rate, wishing you both the best!

I too was glad to hear that Jamaica made it through the storm OK. I've been there once before, several years ago. I fell in love with the island the very second I stepped off the plane. Somehow, I knew it wouldn't be my first trip.

Astrocartographically speaking (man, that's a long word ) Jamaica is smack on my Jupiter/MC line, and would be a place VERY favourable for career matters. Considering my MC is at 5* Libra, and I've both Jupiter and Uranus in the 10th house, this place has been shouting, "Come on down here, mon!" for years now. \:\) ;\)

(If I weren't in such rough shape physically and financially at the moment, I'd be there in a heartbeat!)

Have you checked out the site again lately? Where does Jamaica fit in with you guys? Knowing your charts together, I'd guess that Venus & Mars are in there somewhere, teehee ;\)

Thanks Tara ... yes, you are right on the date - good memory!

You'd think that there would be some kind of Venus/Mars line there since it is where we were married, but no, I have a Sun/IC line there and Troy has a Pl/MC line.

Now I do vagely remember you telling me about being in Jamaica before. Those sound like very promising lines. Maybe someday you will live there... I can see that.

hey again Kelly \:D

Yah, mon, I do so hope to get there again. -~ (teehee)

The energy of that island never fails to amaze me; despite the poverty and social upheaval, their faith and resiliency gives me courage even in my darkest moments.

(And if music is the expression of the spirit, it is no wonder I always put in some reggae when I'm feeling low. Nothing brings me around like the classic Bob Marley tune, "No Woman, No Cry." )

I find it quite intriguing about yours, and Troy's astrocartography lines; the conjoining of the Sun & Pluto, as well as the conjoining of the IC/MC energies. It DOES seem to fit the marriage vibe, don't ya think? \:\) Past meets present, inner meets outer... very

Hey Tara,

I'm glad Jamaica's spirit and reggae music does that for you when you are down in the dumps.

It is kind of intriguing, especially when you consider that we have a Sun/Pl cj as well as our MC/IC axis (my MC is Pisces IC Virgo and his the opposite, but they conjunct one another). Jamaica does fit that theme. Maybe someday we will live there.

hey Kel, \:\)

Very about those aspects; I'd forgotten about that, so I pulled up your charts and had another look-see. It now makes perfect sense you guys would be married in Jamaica, and go back there to celebrate. With Saturn entering Virgo, it's perhaps activating the urge to get to where the two of you first exchanged your vows. ;\) Again, congrats!

As for living there, if and when you do, I hope I'm among the first to know.

Tara
