I didn't have time to read this link, but was happy just to read the title Maria!

I just saw a piece about Australia on the Discovery channel last night, it was called Extreme Earth or something to that effect. It was talking about the barrier reef and how Australia is the fastest moving continent on the Earth, and it used to be connected to the south pole. I saw something else on Australia a month or so ago and it was saying that it is the oldest continent on earth and that the Aboriginal people have been here the longest. I wish I remember all of the details of this, so I will look up an email I sent an Aussie friend (who is part Aboriganee -sp?) of mine about it and will post more about it tomorrow.

The program was called Australia Revealed and they said that Australia was the oldest continent and that the Aboriginal people are the oldest surviving culture in the world.

Maybe the rest of us can learn something from them.

yes, well he did lose that seat.

Kevin Rudd sent condolences after the death of actor Heath Ledger, born in western australia... couldn't imagine Howard doing something that.. so it seems that Rudd is very much in touch with the public and its sentiment.
