Hello. I'm Roger Dafremen. Some folks call me daf. This looks like a lovely site you have here, I've been hearing it about it for many years from some long time friends.

There was a time on another site, where you could feel the gentle focus of the energy. It was comforting and healing. I suppose at times, if I were to look around..it's still there in spots. But it's not the same.

It was passed on to me, that much effort is taken here to try and keep it gentle so that everyone feels comfortable sharing.

If that's the case, I'd very much like to be a part of that, if it's alright.

Very pleased to meet you. How nice of you to join us. As you probably know, I didn't start this place, but I certainly have found it over the years to be a very cool place where a bunch of interesting, diverse and good people bring interesting ideas and beautiful energy around.

So, my turn. I'll introduce myself. I'm a corny Aries on the solar side and a lunar Capricorn critic in a Leo-rising costume. By the time I became aware of Mr. Rogers as a kid I was too old for baby stuff and thought he was such a geek! But when I grew up, I liked him. That's the Capricorn moon. I guess one of the gentlest moments I've had here in the online salon was when I spent an evening mourning Mr. Rogers' passing with our friend Rainbow, who has since passed. Somehow, I thought Rainbow would be here always. She is of course. I feel her presence here. She really gentled-up the place.

Sometimes we still get rocking and rolling and roughhousing, but we try to do it with kindness. I figure, I'm not out looking for some place to get boxed in the ears. Awarenessness raised, yeah. Speak my piece, always. Heh. But I try to listen too.

It's often quiet here on weekends. Maybe we have a lot of members who can post while at work. If so, lucky them!

You might want to "search" for threads on your topics of interest. It would take a long while to go through many very interesting discussions and a way for you to start to know people. I think most of us are still around.

Hello Dafremen….You’re postings on the CE site and on Linda-Goodman.com for the last couple of weeks make my consciousness wonderful “WHAT”S REALLY GOING ON?” Therefore, I’m taking valuable time to ask questions that only you can answer… so here it goes.

FIRST STAGE OF EVENTS:
On February 8, 2008 you post on the CE site (and I’ve added it to my post below – REFERENCE ONE)… asking if you can give a bunch of ideas for increasing site traffic here at CE…. Then, Maria follows with her posting (also found below REFERENCE TWO) an answer on February 18,2008.

SECOND STAGE OF EVENTS:
You post on Linda-Goodman.com site the following (I add these here, because Veneo and others from CE have been kind enough to educate me on my initial posting on CE that many CE members don’t go over to the Linda-Goodman.com site, and thus the information will allow them to understand why I’m asking the questions I am):
On February 18, 2008 REFERNECE THREE Quote: The Original Linda Goodman Forums (which of course is the CE site) on the web are dying. And that's a shame..a horrible shame. A tragedy.
Randall came from that site. JwHop. Juniperb is on that site. fayte.m LiaLei ListensToTrees, Bibi...who else among us is on that site or came from that site? End quote.
Thanks for using my name (it’s BiBi for the future) to assist your agenda’s of having readers from Linda-Goodman.com come to support and again increase the traffic to the CE site, because you claim the CE site is dying. You are correct… I do post on the CE site as well.
QUESTION ONE: What makes you believe the CE site is dying? I’d like to know the statistics you hold within your mind that would make you state such a thing? And, is the CE site aware of your posting on other sites that their site is dying?
QUESTION TWO… since you were kind enough to put an url on the Linda-Goodman.com site driving traffic to the CE site under the title “Linda Goodman Fan’s Unite”… IF Uniting Linda Goodman fans IS the agenda… why not put an url on the CE site that also drives readers back to the Linda-Goodman.com site? I mean that only seems fair now doesn’t it? A Win-Win situation for ALL Linda Goodman Fans!

QUESTION THREE: So am I, and everyone, to believe that the only reason you didn’t come right out and just provide a link that everyone knew would take them to the CE site is that you wanted the link to look more pleasant… by calling the link… “Linda Goodman Fans Unite”? Is that correct Dafermen? Well your clever reasoning worked… even I clicked on the link. I mean who wouldn’t want to click on a link that states “Linda Goodman Fans Unite”!
It is interesting that your consciousness did think you’re choice may be too volatile.
Then, on February 18th you choose the necessity of providing url’s on Linda-Goodman.com site regarding the Webmaster himself – Randall. SEE REFERENCE FOUR AGAIN.
QUESTION FOUR: Why Dafermen did you feel you had to put up the urls on Randall that pretty much attempted to assassinate his character? Right after putting up a link on Randall’s site that drove readers from his own site to the CE site in a hidden manner… the CE site isn’t in competition with Randall’s site in any other definition than which site may have the most traffic in their site? If they are even in competition in that definition!
THIRD STAGE OF EVENTS:
Randall choose to close your thread that provided the url links in REFERENCE FOUR, which I will add right now, I think he did the right thing, that’s just my own opinion, you can not agree with me, that’s ok.
Then, you were clever again. Since the thread you started on Linda-Goodman.com was closed, and you left the site after Randall banned you (your own words), you came back into the site latter and “edited” a pre-existing reply that you had done on another thread (REFERENCE FIVE). In your goodbye speech you mention QUOTE: Knowing it was time, I put a red cape in front of the guy with the loaded gun around here when the opportunity came up, and he did what he was expected to. And then I QUOTE you again: It's no coincidence that I brought both Randall's career and reputation into question in that post in Linda's Life forum. That's how you get a Cappy to lose his cool..and in this case, do his thing.
QUESTIONS FIVE: So Darfermen, my mind goes to the question… did you do all of this (1) put up a statement that the CE site was dying, (2) put up a link from Linda-Goodman.com site which only stated “Linda Goodman Fans Unite” which mysteriously took us directly to the CE site, (3) put up links that alleged certain conduct of Randall… (which I personally do not believe – I’ll state for the record), and then (4) put up your good-bye speech stating you set up a certain person(s) to react because you knew you were leaving (or would that be – you knew you might be banned?).. DID YOU DO ALL THIS SEEMINLY PRE-MEDIATED ACTION TO ASSIST IN YOUR MISSION TO DRIVE MORE SITE TRAFFIC TO CE?
I await your clarity on the FIVE QUESTIONS put to you in my reply here.

Since my arrival on the scene is very recent, I thought I'd ask before spouting off with a bunch of ideas for increasing site traffic.

Has this topic come up before, and if so, what were the ideas discussed? Is it something that could be pursued if pursuing it only required a small investment in time?

Just want to help, and this is one area that I know a little bit about.

There is nothing sneaky about putting a link inside text. In fact, it's one of the nice features included in UBB code, to make long unwieldy texts links more pleasant to look at.
But, figured that was a bit too volatile. I was keeping it under the radar so as not to appear "in your face" with it. That was until you decided to bring it up. Now it's in the open. Now I'll discuss it.
Randall has his own history of chasing after money in questionable ways.
Apparently, both sites do and did.
Diversified Acquisitions is a real estate company now basically defunct. Randall, coincidentally, is known as the Lease Option King. He operates on the "Big Dog(*growl*)" philosophy. And that's fine.)
