I think I recall you saying that if any of have any new smiles that we would like added for posts we could submit them to you.

Are you still looking for more smilies? I am sure many of us have some we would like to submit to you.

I don't have one but I would like to see a blue heart signifying compassion added to the smilie list.

Also I have some others I would like to submit if you are still in the market.

I can make a blue heart from the red one and add that. Others that you find that are free for sharing, just right-click on them and save them to a file on your PC. Then you can attach the .gif files to an email to me at WriteOn@consciousevolution.com or you could upload them to a post here, using the File Manager link that appears in the Post Options part of the Reply form. Just click the File Manager link and follow along finding the file to upload and clicking what it says to click to upload it. You can upload more than one attachment per post ... right now I can't remember the limit per post. But anyway, when you've uploaded what you want to, you have to be sure to click that you're finished uploading files.

Then your post will show a link indicating it has attachments ... and then we can go from there.

Kel, I think the two smileys together with the green bottles in their hands are French, which is to say that they are talking (or singing) about life and drinking wine until one falls flat and the other pulls him back up.

I also think we need a smiley raising one eyebrow, and one where two smileys are high-fiving or bumping chests, not that they actually have chests...

Connie & Chahlie, I can't believe I didn't notice your last posts on here... awesome emoticons!!! Boy is Maria going to have a hard time deciding which to pick. We may have to let her know which one's we like the best so she can narrow them down.

I know Dave asked before for planetary glyphs as well. So I need to paint a heart blue and shrink my planetary glyph images to size, and load up those and these.

The software is very flexible, and we can add to and delete from any of the categories of images. Let me give you the categories and considerations.

POSTING ICONS: These are the four rows of the smallest graphics at the top of the Post form, where you either get the book by default or choose one of the other pix to show up along the edge of the thread when you view the threads in forum view (if you start the thread) and where it shows up as the icon of the latest post in the overall view of all forums (if you're replying to a thread). Mine for this post is the open-mouthed laughing one at the top of the post.

I can add a blue heart in there. We can add or delete others from there too, but they need to be the little ones and we should probably keep it to four or five rows of nine each.

GRAEMLINS: These are the ones I've been adding to so far. The ones that you reach from the Smiley icon in the tool bar when you're making a post, and it opens a window full of pix you can put into your posts by clicking on them -- and it shows up in the draft of your post as a word between colons, which you can use to also make the picture show up in the Shout Box.

This is probably where most of these new ones are to be added, right? So we also need a word (or couple of words run together) for each.

AVATARS: These are what Chahlie asked about, and yes, we can add to the stock of default avatars that are available for people to use. Meaning, for instance, if I didn't have Glinda, I could use one of the avatars already in the system for the picture by my member name.

In fact, duh, I need to ask daf whether he wants to add some of his creations into the stash of avatars for anyone to use. The TV screen you posted looks like it could be an avatar, Chahl. Anything else you would want to add there? The defaults are 48 x 48 pixels, but I think they display as 80 x 80 pixels and the software does the best it can with whatever you upload to fit it to the standard size.

FORUM IMAGES: These are the size of avatars, and I suppose if we used them, they would show up somewhere, lol. One per forum. We probably should/could come up with some coolio images for the forums. As with the avatars, the defaults for forum images are 48 x 48 pixels, but I think they display as 80 x 80 pixels.

MOOD IMAGES: These are the little indicators of your mood that show when you're online. You can change them with the little arrow next to the smiley that shows next to your name at the top of the page on the right, where it says Welcome. There are 10 in there now, which are the defaults, and we can add and delete from there too.

I might add the little smiley with hearts around its head in there. What else should we do there?

When I was a kid, my mom used to say, from time to time and for no real reason at all, that she saw a little gremlin running up the stairs. We always played around with and altered words in our house, so sometimes it was a gremlin and sometimes a grendolyn.

We'd run up to our rooms and find little toys the gremlin had left.

Dave, I made the aspect glyphs and added them. As for putting them by the sign glyphs, I can do that, but the organizing is a bit hairy now for several different reasons, so I'll take a look at doing that a little later when I'm fresh. Going to take a quick nap now before little one gets home from school.
