I do not believe in the power of the word "love" anymore.

It is paltry in comparison to the sentiment which it attempts to convey. There might be sounds which would serve that purpose better, but they are rarely uttered.

Perhaps it is only when two mutually feel this for each other that it can be known; magically transmuted by a combination of one's own experiences and the belief that another reciprocates the feeling.

Such a meeting is a rarity in this life. A gift from God when it happens. Such is my blessing today.

Daf, I intend to agree

This a.m. I was pondering the bandying about of the words love and heart. Or rather the new age concept of the words in application to life, friends , neighbors and self . It left me sadly wanting.

Generally it is love with an agenda... not the purity of which the Gospels speak of. The Love we Need is
not the love we desire. Desire burns rapidly out but need sustains the Love and transforms the understanding of the word and self.


Love may be the music of the spheres, heard and felt only... beyond human description?

We know the False Teacher of the Heart teaching so we know how misunderstood the "heart" is in relation to follow the heart and you will love.

Dearest of my friends,

You've never rambled. Not in the 5 some-odd years that I've known you. I find it hard to imagine that you'd start now. If it wasn't important..you wouldn't say it. That's what I believe, as regards your opinions, your words and your heart.

Known this, sister: Your brother is not far from you. Not far from your heart. Not far from that place. In love with life, and human nature..including it's inconsistencies and frailties.

She was wrong Juni, I know this now. I hope you understand. "Soul mate" is not a term to be tossed about liberally. Especially not among folks who invest their hearts so deeply when they finally trust enough to invest them at all.

Love = Enfolded in understanding and compassion; entertaining and demonstrating nothing less than the desire to reciprocate.
