Can apemen touch the sun?
Or should they squat back down;
content to worship it
from afar?
They should gather
round their campfires
and murmur
their dark, oblong superstitions
to paper gods
who will soon shrug them
into extinction.
Apemen can't touch the sun.
Apemen don't know
how to walk
like a real human
let alone fly like one.
