Thanks for the reminder and link Tara... fires of Tara, no wonder you enjoy this one the most. How appropriate.

Well, I'm not planting seeds today, but am going to put the flowers I bought yesterday in their flower pots, so I guess that counts for a May Day activity. The moon is in Pisces in the 4th quarter right now, so that is more condusive to transplanting than starting new seeds. I plan to plant seeds in the 1st quarter when the Moon is in a water sign which is the 8th & 9th in Cancer.

We all know that in the U.S. May Day and the May Pole is not celebrated as a holiday. That all came about in the Puritan age when it was seen as a pagan ritual. Not like most of the things celebrated as holy days are not "borrowed" from ancient pagan rituals. ;\)

I recall as a young child we used to fashion our own may pole. Although we found it to be a lot of fun making our may pole after one trip of dancing around it we lost interest. LOL It was like, is this all there is to it? hee hee I don't recall where as a kid I learned about May Day and the May Pole. It must have been talked about in school because all of us kids knew about it. Even if we were easily distracted.

Can you imagine that now with kids in the computer video game era? Not to mention Webkinz? LOL But it seems a very nice way to celebrate Spring to me.
