Please pray for Ryen Ryneigh, an adorable little girl who is only 3 and has a disease called Leigh's Disease, which the medical people say is always fatal, and fairly quickly so. Her mommy, Heather, is my niece by marriage. She is only 25, and she also needs your prayers as she faces this dreadful news and cares for her darling daughter. Few things could be more heart-crushing. Mighty mighty sad.

Prayers are on the way for Heather, Ryen and the rest of the family.

Thank you Solane, Chahl, Suchi, Amanda and Kel. It's good to have you adding your good energy to the situation. There is definitely something to be said for the beauty and power of people gathered in the name of love.

Heather and little Ryen seem to also have a good support system of family and friends, and that's pretty much the best I can say about the situation now. Ryen is in the hospital, and Heather, of course, is spending a lot of time there. She's in college, but can't be getting any studying done...

What a terrible tragedy for a sweet and precious little angel to undergo. She looks so radiant and happy in that picture you posted. I hope she isn't suffering. Light, love and prayers are headed to Washington state in droves. Poor Heather. I can't even imagine the agony she must be in. She has my deepest sympathies. She has always been a cheerful little kiddo. They say she's always smiling. I think she's out of the hospital now, but I'm not sure. If she's home, I'll bet she's glad of it.

Ryen is such a little doll. Very sad situation. Praying that it has a good outcome and that Ryen lives a very long life.

She did make it to her fourth birthday, a little earlier this month, bless her heart. She's sick a lot, but she's hanging on and soaking up a lot of love.
