The Blessing of Chaos

All of the dreams of humanity experience a conception, a shifting, a re-shuffling and then a birthing into light. This is not a finite process, but one in which creation is ever changing, ever evolving into greater levels of clarity and refinement. This is what many call chaos. And, chaos is a term that feels uncomfortable to most. It represents what we fear most- the unknown and the feeling of being out of control.

Chaos in and of itself motivates and seems to call to us to create order. Yet, as soon as we have what appears to be order, we begin to re-think how we can continue controlling it- which only seems to work for a little while- because, in truth, we can't. Life isn't static. Chaos is the universe in motion, in it's natural process of evolution. The great paradox here is that the order of the universe holds itself in constant change.

As we open to new possibilities and experiences in every moment, we learn to live and BE in the moment. All of our power and creativity comes from the present moment. We struggle so to be masters of our own universe, and often become disillusioned and disappointed with the people, circumstances and world around us. Who we are within ourselves in each moment is all we can control. We often desire to direct or control others and situations outside ourselves, but the truth is- we are all we have providence over. As Spirit is in All, we are filled with the Spirit that forms, moves and shapes All. We can affect great changes from within- not only for ourselves, but for the world.

As we participate in thoughts, we participate in and create the inner landscape of our choosing. This in turn shapes our outer experience. How we check ourselves; catching our thoughts of negativity and judgment and redirecting our consciousness into thoughts of the desired outcome or solution, is the only process by which we arrive at any semblance of order. We find peace within our own peaceful thoughts. We find joy, pain, freedom, limitation, health and abundance- anything we choose, through our thoughts. We create the joy of tomorrow through our joyful being today. As we choose thoughts and focus, our own inner light radiates and draws to us the people and experiences that will support who we are. All we experience outwardly is a reflection of who we are within. Knowing this, trying to affect change by going outside ourselves is like trying to reach through a mirror to touch our face. The reflection is not where we start, it is within. The reflection can only be changed from within.


A Call to Love

We need not be victims of chaos or drama. Everything we experience is a call to love; to love ourselves more, to love others more, to love life more, to breathe life and love into all we see and do. In each moment we have the opportunity to recreate ourselves. We can stand in love, we can bless the chaotic opportunities presented to us to re-invent who we are and we can learn to be loving and gentle not only with others, but most importantly, with ourselves. As we do this, we become better and better at loving and living; being fully present in the moment and choosing again and again to be the most joyful, loving supporter of our own dreams and heart. In this way, we create the experiences within and around us that will call more of the same into our lives.

All we experience is an outer reflection of our inner world. This loving universe of free-will says a mighty, "YES!!" to all we choose. Our hopes, dreams, beliefs, doubts, fears and worries all magnetize to us more of the same. Whatever we focus on or give energy to, creates our immediate and future opportunities in our lives. If we choose to participate in thoughts of lack, fear, worry and doubt, the universe says, "Yes. You may experience as much of that as you like"... and as soon as we choose to participate in thoughts and feelings of peace, joy, love, success, happiness and understanding, the universe says, "Yes!"

Our prayers, angels and guides are always available and loving us. They are ready and willing to help and support. It is our free will that determines the amount of interaction and intervention we experience. The more open we are to receive, and the more we listen to and act upon what we receive, the more gentle our messages. If we ignore the subtleties, they may have to "speak louder" to get our attention. Here again, we have the choice to be as loving and gentle with ourselves as possible.

Our hearts know our joy and as we listen to our hearts and our guidance, and gently follow what brings us feelings of inner peace, joy and love, we become part of the flow of the ever loving universe.


Chaos is a great teacher

We can continue to struggle with trying to change others and circumstances to create peace within, or we can become part of the flow through the inner landscape of our hearts. As we get better and better at being what we seek, we effect great change in our lives, the lives of others and become an example of living in the flow!

Hi Lisa and Juni

Just catching up on reading posts and boy, I need to read this one at least once a day until it becomes my normal way of thinking.

My life has been full of chaos for about 2 years now and so far it isn't showing any sign of letting up.

Why is it that we know the right things - we know the words of this article about the lessons of chaos and how our thoughts can make us happy or make us miserable depending on what we choose to think and dwell on - but it is so hard to do this when things are chaotic in our lives?

Knowing that it is just as easy to think positive thoughts as it is to think negative ones doesn't seem to be our first inclination when things are going so badly for us. I sure would love to get into that flow though. It is much needed at this time.

I enjoyed your article very much. It is very inspiring and poignant in it's simple display of how our Thoughts become us. And vice versa. I have all ways thought that the Divine Spark within our Mind was a Gift that should be played with prudently and with great discernment. Each of Us having the ability to create or destroy our own State of Being is quite the responsibility! Especially considering, we are All One and not only affecting our own Lives, but each Life that surrounds Us.

I am reMinded in the article of how much ego we have as Humans. How often we say "Why does this happen to ME?" "Why NOW?" "I can't catch a break!" Then I am comforted by the Knowing that It doesn't have anything to do with ME. The UniVerse is unfolding as It should, where, without I's to witness, there is no Chaos at All! When we add the Human ingredient and it's effect on Nature, the true perception of chaos becomes relevant. I do not think the sands of time are disturbed by the onset of flash floods. Or a good ole fashioned wind storm. I think of the small animals in this Winter frost, in their self made nests of twigs and leaves. I see them scurrying around frozen ground, seeking any food possible for their young and wonder, do they know what their missing in a warm home? I think they toil, as I do, to make ends meet, but their perception of it is less victimizing. They see not chaos in the onset of storms and frost, just more to strive for. Removing themselves from the equation, they truly live in the NOW. Like the movie, Life is Beautiful,
where the man is determined to protect his son's eyes and knowing from the grim reality of the daily chaos imposed upon them. Somewhere deep inside his own Self, he conjures the ability to remove his ego and transcend the situation at hand. This Act of Love is so incredibly powerful and protective, the boy is completely unaware his Life is surrounded by chaos and hatred. In turn, his perception is that of playing a simple child's game....and to win a tank.

How great would that Be, if everyone LOVED another that much, and elevate themselves beyond their painful situations, to sacrifice themselves totally and whole heartedly for anOther? I suspect the forseen chaos we endure would be lessened greatly and we would all get through the ordeals we face with gratitude and deeper understanding.


I have often heard the only thing constant in the UniVerse is change. Perhaps the only True oxymoron in the World. If that is True, then maybe change is the Order and stagnancy the chaos. Through this new Order, we may find ways of elevating our Spirit beyond our selves and allow the True purpose of our Being here known to Us, before we head back to the "Great Gig in the Sky."

I for One, can relate to your woes. I am sorry you have have quite the ride of ordeals in your Life of late. It can Be very trying Being Human. These valleys have given me time to reflect on the hills I have enjoyed and made me long for them greatly. They have given me much ponderance, as to how much I wish to be offered the Grace again to help others more selfishly, and in turn, receive nothing but more Knowing and Love to help me heal my Self. We are All by nature, damaged in some Way. Being here alone, give Us the chance to make Good on that prospect. No matter the trials and tribulations we endure.
We must prevail! And shall, no matter how we perceive It to Be.
Living is enough, but Being Alive is much better!

I hope One day, this Conscious Evolution happens to All of Us in my Lifetime. I pray everyday to Be given the choice of Good over evil. Love over hate, Peace over war. I ask to Be humbly guided to the choice that is best for the Universe and to use me to that extent. Mind you, after my prayers are said, it is "game on" and I do not always succeed in my mission. Often, I find myself in old tapes and worn paths I have walked before. Perhaps, today will Be better. I can only wish It so.

I am thinking of You and wishing the same for You during your troubled times. I wish You comfort and serenity and Well Being.

As "One of Us" I know the Your hills are only steps away...

What you say is all too true - we do know that we hold the power to create whatever reality we choose with our thoughts - yet when push comes to shove and a chaotic situation abounds and taunts us with the change it wants to bring to our worlds, how quickly we forget our ability to creative a positive situation for ourselves from its remnants instead of resorting to negative thoughts and reactions and ending up with a disaster.

It's all too easy to forget at tumultuous times like those that everything happens for a reason, and as much as we try to resist or sidestep those circumstances initially, with time we often can see the blessings and opportunities to grow and experience a new way of being that we wouldn't have had otherwise. Thanks so much for bringing this up to the top again to remind us of the amazing things we can do within ourselves.
