As everyone knows by now, I am big on Saturn for a lot of reasons - properly handled it is consciousness , not limitation.

Saturn finally goes direct at 1 46 on May 3 at 3:08 AM GMT.

Other key dates for the rest of the year (all in the calendar):

August 8 - Saturn passes the "review" point where it stationed retrograde @ 8 34.

September 28 - Saturn passes the point where the review in the next cycle will begin - 14 55 - and so anything after this point will be reviewed in 2009.

January 1, 2009 - Saturn goes retrograde at 21 46.

OK - a few comments - the period between August 8 and September 28 is important as none of those degrees will be "reviewed" - so be careful, especially as Saturn aspects your planets.

For me, I am looking forward to it, as shortly after the direct motion Saturn goes back into my 10th house "for good", and I am looking forward to it...

Carrie - Saturn is still in your 10th, but hey, with it moving forward, your career should really take off, especially I am sensing after the review period is over.

Kelly,

Yep, it will conjunct your Sun in late July... Use it to become aware of your self.

Those are the people I remember who had comments last year... - feel free to add yours!

Hooray!!

He's been hovering over my South Node for some time now, in my 9th house... It's actually been quite helpful; hopefully I've passed a test or two! ;\)

But, I guess I'll find out for sure when he reaches my Mercury at 8* Virgo, just a few days after my birthday.

Go, Saturn!

I hope so! I did find a job, but it is merely a step in the right direction and not where I really want to be (which I was SOOOO reminded of today). In fact, this entire week has made me decide that I'm going to go ahead and start sending out resumes for actual counseling positions and caseworker positions again... So that would be nice. \:D

Carrie,

Good luck - you probablhy won't get any "results" until Saturn goes direcr, but hey as it slows down, its consciousness is really large.

I by some playing around with Solar Fire was able to determine the times that the review periods begin and end for Saturn and have put them into the calendar. As I get to them, I will do that for the other retrogrades.

Hi Dave,

I'm all for Saturn going direct again too, but for the opposite reason as you. I'll be only too happy to see Saturn leave my 10th house for good. Perhaps I'm not handling Saturn's energy properly, but it seems I've encountered the 'limitations' aspect more than I have the 'consciousness' since he's been traveling through my 10th. Ever since he's taken his first steps in that house back in the summer of '05, I've had to put a newly budding career up on a shelf to deal with more urgent matters. And each time in these last 3 years that I've tried to take it off the shelf and run with it, I'd only get reminded that the roadblock has not yet been lifted and there it would go back up on the shelf again, along with another piece of my heart. \:\( I'm really hoping that once Saturn leaves my 10th house in 3 more months, he'll take those obstacles and limitations to my career with him.

So from May 3rd - August 8 Saturn will retrace the steps he took from September 16 while at 1 46 to December 19 of last year when he stationed Rx at 8 34. It would be so wonderful if the career opportunity that came my way during that time would come back around again.

hey Venus girl

Hang in there, my friend... I am beginning to believe that yes, all things difficult eventually bring rewards! ;\)

And the tougher the "obstacle course," the bigger the prize!

Here's a glimpse into the future: After we two progressed Aqua Moon buddies get through the dirt, we'll be visiting somewhere, sitting on a sunny porch with a glass of vino, yakking about all of our trials and tribulations, and how glad we are that we stuck it through! ;\)

Tracey,

One other thought - where is your progressed planets? I did mine a few weeks ago, and in about 6 months my progressed Moon goes into my 10th as well, and will be catching up with Saturn next year...

Hi Dave & Tara,

How's Saturn been treating you two? \:D I didn't mean to give Saturn such a bad rap, Dave. I know how much you love him. LOL \:D And I know he can be wonderful in so many ways, especially in doling out those hard earned rewards that you mentioned, Tara. From your fingertips to Saturn's ears. I think it's just that Saturn going through that particular house is harder for me to handle because Saturn squares the ruler of that house in my natal chart. So Saturn's lessons in that area are always a real challenge for me. But I'm really hoping that during these final months of having Saturn in my 10th, I'll be able to embrace the consciousness part of Saturn and let go of the limitations and roadblocks. In the meantime, I'm setting my sights on that sunny porch, the glass of vino and the yak session with my wonderful Leo buddy. Cheers

PS Dave, my progressed Moon is in my 4th house and is forming a T-square with my natal Moon/Mars opposition. My progressed Sun is one degree from a conjunction to my Moon so it's involved in the T-Square too. Sounds like great fun, huh?

Tracey,

I hope also that the last pass for you will be as good as it can be. You are going through your first one (the 2nd for me), so that makes it a bit harder...

Thanks Dave,

So far, Saturn's direct motion in my 10th house has been going good. I feel a lot less tense and pressured in career matters and that's a major relief. How's Saturn been treating all of you so far? Better since he's gone direct?

Tracey,

So far so good. I wanted to make some medical appointments last Friday and and wound up getting on for last Monday and the other for the 14th which considering the normal difficulty getting into that office was very good!

hiya Dave, hiya Tracey

Well, Saturn's been treating me very good these days, touch wood... ;\) He's going direct off of my South Node, in my 9th house, and will be hitting my Mercury in a couple of months, on my birthday. And while I was nervous about his retrograde, he actually helped by clarifying a few issues for me, both internal and external.

Dave, I guess you could say he quite brightly illuminated some quiet and perhaps even, ignored parts of my "conscience," ;\) in a manner of speaking. He brought to the surface some old spiritual issues that needed clearing up, and has shed some light on dreams and goals that I may pursue in the future.

And say, Tracey, I remember you saying a while back that Saturn's travels through my 9th might bring with it some more stability and security, and you were BANG ON! I've begun to feel more at home and at peace in my new apartment and new town; I've been decorating and settling in so much more over the past few months than I did when I first moved in, last July. I've made some great friends here, and - considering the fact that since 2003, I've moved 15 times - ACK! - this is the first solid and stable (and affordable!) home I've had in YEARS!

In other words, I'm at last listening to the birds and the wind in the trees, rather than those haggard and frantic old thoughts of yesteryear, if that makes sense! ;\)

Tara,

Great! I am so glad for you. By the way, I had a chance to start reading the book you mentioned to me, and the premise wasn't one that I really dug - or should I say, I have been through that type of thing a long time ago....

hey Dave, \:\)

Thanks! I'm glad that things are finally settling in my life, too. It's a relief and a half, to say the least. ;\)

And yah, I guess in retrospect, the premise of that book is a little - uh, shall we say, "been there, done that," - but for a light read, I enjoyed it. Maybe it's more of a "chick book"?

What degree/minutes is the old man @ now?
My natal is 5d.
He knows I like Sunshine so he decided to have a second winter to restrick me. burrrrr.
I overheard someone call the month Junuary.

Mars passed over my ASC and Pluto. (opps my Mars) He tried his best to break my arm. I have rotor cuff calcium deposit. ouch.
They gave me pain meds that just made my feet and legs swell up. (Mars kicking dirt on Pluto's boots.)

We are supposed to have a couple of nice days the week. What will Mars do? Throw himself in front of the Sun? Haw! Probably.

But Saturn is going win.
Gas is $4.19 a gal. here. So even if my arm was good and feet weren't swollen and it was 90d out, I would have to take the bus(or cancel cable, stop smoking, sale my coffee pot). So I'll just stay home, eat, sleep and cuss. smile

TTYAL,
I have log on to my baking system and pay my Doctor bill. @$@##%&^$ saturn

Darwin! grin

Good to see you here, my friend... smile

So, Saturn's kicking your butt these days too, eh? Hang on - he gets closer to your natal by next month, and Mars will be with him by then, too. Like you said, stay close to home, eat, sleep and drink something frosty. wink

If I recall correctly, we've got some similarities in our charts... (My Sun cj your Asc & Pluto? and Mars opp Mars?)

Well, at any rate, I can harmonize with your cussing wink
Mars was recently back to his natal spot, alongside my Sun, and opposing my (bewildered) progressed Moon in Aquarius, causing some headaches and insomnia as I grow anxious about a disability claim hearing coming up next month.

And this %*$*%*&!! Mercury retrograde is now (and will be) squaring all of my Virgo dirt (aka personal planets) in between.

<sigh>

I'm a paranoid, migraine-ridden, worrisome yet slightly giddy, argumentative, "grin and bear it" old-woman-in-waiting at the moment myself! mad grin

Someone recently reminded me of that old adage: "This too shall pass."
It's a cliche, but at the moment, I'm hanging onto it. saturn sun

Hey guys! smile
I've actually been enjoying Saturn's energy just lately - its been mostly trining my ASC and I think that's been good for my weight-loss goals, most of which I have now reached! Its been trining my Merc too, and although I agree with Dave's first statement on this thread - that Saturn is consciousness not limitations - I also find that when it aspects my Merc I tend to be quieter. Something I have learned about myself this year is that I talk more than I listen. This Saturn/Merc trine has helped me be a better listener, I think, I hope... smile
Missed you all like crazy!
Love,
Terri

Thanks Dave smile

That's a great place for Saturn, imho. smile I mean, its not a bed of roses, but I like Saturn transits to the MC because its energy is so useful, career-wise. How's your book coming? Any new research? There's alot of interesting chatter I've been hearing from various sources about the coming of the Christ and the emergance of the anti-christ. Probably this isn't the thread for it, but its something I've been following lately, as we close in on 2012...

Hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, earthquakes ... climate change ... fate? I'd be interested on your Take on a coming Christ consciousness, Terri. I don't really think I have anything to say on the subject, but I'm interested in what others are thinking/feeling. Do start a thread when the spirit moves you.
