Now don't get me wrong. I do feel that all that is going on in government today which was fully displayed at yesterday's attempt at bipartisanship in getting a bill passed for the good of most of the people in this country is simply the example of our badly broken political system. What will win the next election is more important than what policy changes will benefit the country and most Americans
After yesterday's Summit over health care, Obama's last attempt at reaching a bipartisan agreement and once again being slapped down - and because I feel it's only fair that the Republicans also receive an award due to Pres. Obama receiving the Nobel Peace Award ( which the Republicans say he hasn't earned even though yesterdays summit was just another attempt on Obama's efforts toward peace )- the Republican Party has won
"The Knights of Nee" Award. They have won the award for fulfilling the following criterion:

1. Constant and unrelenting pleas for "more time" and "starting from scratch" -- which were on full display at yesterday's White House health care summit but are also displayed over anything even suggested in Congress by the Democrats.
2. Republicans are so focused on trying to make President Obama fail that they don't seem to care who gets hurt in the process.
3. For their consistency in being lying hypocrits in the process of attempting to undermine the Pres. of the U.S. One example: Republicans say - with a straight face - that the stimulus didn't create one job (while trying to secure those same "non-existent" jobs for their states). They know it's not true, but they say it anyway.
4. While there may be some real ideological and policy differences, the bottom line is that the president and Democrats want a bill to pass, and Republicans don’t.
The Knights Who say Neehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0e2kaQqxmQ0I could probably come up with more criterion but unlike politicians I have more meaningful things to do in life.

Love, Connie
