After you watch the video ( being a Floyd fan I like the song lead in ) please sign the petitions. The Washington Post reported that 80% of Americans agree that the ruling of the Republican appointed Supreme Court 5 to allow both foreigners and corporations to choose our leadership is a threat to our democracy. The other 20%? Well, I guess their actions speak for themselves. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFuhdtmU0SQHere is the online petition from Free Speech for People
http://www.freespeechforpeople.org/Action page: Corporations are NOT the people
http://www.peaceteam.net/action/pnum1029.php( uses your zip code to notify YOUR reps. - which is great )
I posted this one before. It's a good one so will go ahead and post it again. I got my bumper sticker.

to amend the Constitution
http://www.movetoamend.org/motion-amendThe Democrats also have a video and petition here:
http://www.democrats.com/save-our-democracyI consider myself an independent voter with no particular party affiliation. But I have to say, when you go to the polls in November keep in mind that NOT ONE member of the Republican Party has come out and stated their opposition to this Supreme Court ruling handing our country and our elections over to corporations and even foreigners.
At least the Democratic party and the President have spoken out against the ruling. I think that is very telling about the differences in the two major parties. Why would the Republicans not care that this ruling opposes our constitution and our democracy? I have my thoughts on that and I do know that G.W. Bush stated that the U.S. Constitution ( the only thing that protects us against there ever being a dictatorship ) "is just a Goddamn peice of paper."
I sign the petitions but I still personally don't feel that this is enough. IMHO, We should impeach and try those judges for treason. Sometime, someone has to start being held responsible for their crimes in government or we are going to lose this nation. It will be sold out for the highest price. Corruption in government will never stop if no one is ever held responsible for anything.
Now because no one has been held responsible for things that have taken place in this nation, not since the 80's at least, our govenment has become more and more corrupt. Now a bunch of Right Wing, Corporate backed extremists are attempting to take over our democracy and turn it into a Corporate State of Fascism.
