glaring at the blood stained
golden
thread,
angel sewn
from my
chest to
yours,
you turn
away
in disgust,
dismissive
of all
that is
graces invention

Why?


two:

a violet
thread
of holy
shroud
binds us
together
as
one.

we are covenant
made ...

we are
platos
desire
manifested in the
flesh
between
a man
and his rib.

Plato
so
eloquently
pleaded
to love
a man
in every way
but
the sacred flesh
of his true desire.
his wish
for himself.

three:

i wear
you like
a sullen
note of
miles'
horn

shuttering
and dysphonic
in its
intent.
meant
to shock.
drilling
into
undiscovered nerves
yet
buttery
smooth, like
the cognac
that only
god
can
taste.

his sound,
wearing our psyches
short.
human
to the
naked
bone.

man
he
sure loved
that
horn.

My dearest soul

You entered.
Enthralled
with knowledge
of your earthly glory.

" Tell me of my
wonders"
you said.

And I did...

I pulled you into
the mind
of my
soul, and placed
you there with
reverent glow.

Like a dove
that nestles into
its' lovers neck,
you rested on my
spirits' breast.
and suckled till you
had your fill.

It is a lament of loss and sorrow.

For when Narcissus has
drunk
and drained
the manna of
a virgin heart,
it may never fill
to feed

deserving soul.

one sad shovel
full at a time

coffin was no longer
visible to anyone

Willow forest
culminates
at state road
28.
there i will
build
a farm stand
made of
old wood.
brown
and splintered
where spiders
laid their
eggs
and squirrels
once
chirped
their love
song
to the earth.

The travelers
along this winding road
on their
way to and fro
deep in
plan
for their
hurriedworried
lives
will stop,
and
breathe
the aroma of sweetness
apples, cinnamon
and the
stars.

in each
buttery morsel
will be my love and
prayers for peace

If they ask,
I will tell them what I know
about life,
the forest
and
the trees
and the Earth, and
our lives at work

and someday
I hope to be known
as that crazy lady
on route 28
who makes
magic pies
and smiles
and touches all
who happen by.

They will know
for that
five minutes
that their
eyes met mine
and our
mouths
entwined
in small,
but elaborate conversation
for that
nano second of eternity
they were
so loved
