Hi Lovely Knowflakes
I was feeling helpless for these poor dogs at a high kill shelter in NY, and posted pictures on my facebook page... but no one ever responds. I don't have any NY friends on facebook, so that may be the reason (people feel like they can't do anything about it, especially here in KY). It seems that they are only there for 2 days before being put down. How much of a chance do they really have? One I posted about today is a really sweet looking male 10 month old Black & White (mostly black) Lab mix that is due to be put down tomorrow all because there is no room at the shelter. There was a lovely 9 year old female Rotty as well. Too many to mention.

This group on Facebook is fighting to bring awareness and reform the laws in NY to bring about change with the way things are happening in these high kill shelters. I hope some of you New Yorkers out there will save the life of these adoptable dogs or at least get involved with this group.
Here's a video they posted about the 26 dogs now in danger:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5S2m7HdG44&feature=plcp
