It's a strange astrological symbol, I don't know what it is--- maybe you are more familiar with it. It's a circle with a cross inside it. Would someone please shed some light on this???

hello everyone, how are you? i am a tad bit confused on what my asc. is. upon reading "Linda Goodman's Realtionship Signs", i calculated my asc. to be scorpio. however, when a buddy of mine did my chart he said my asc. was sag. personally i am leaning toward scorp. myself but i'm not quite sure. if anyone could tell me i would be forever greatful. i was born on 3/14/80 at 12:58am in West Chester Pennsylvania. again, i thank you.

I don't have Relationship Signs in front of me right now, so I'm not sure where the error was in your original calculations ... if it puzzles you, I'll take a look as soon as I get a chance.

Hello everyone!

I have a question regarding the Ascendant and houses. I have been reading up on some Astrological issues, and I find it quite fascinating (especially the mechanics behind a Horoscope). However, one thing puzzles me and causes some confusion. It seems there is serious disagreement among Astrologers as how to calculate the Ascendant and/or the houses. I keep hearing about different systems (Placidus, Koch etc.). What does this really mean? Why is there such confusion as to what system to use? Which did Linda favor?

Many questions at once, I know! But I think this is very important, for if the Ascendant is one of the three most influential aspects in ones chart, then it would be of vital importance that it is calculated "correctly."
