Life is temporary for life as we know it

So dont think things cant possible happen
in the large universe

I am sure there are things that mankind has not a clue of there existence .

From the beginning of time Mankind has made their assumptions based on what their experiences were.... Now in this highly technical age and instant access... the lines are blurred and living outside the norm is becoming more and more common... We are an illusion of the past centuries... they would have loved to do and have the things we have... we are not as bound by social rule or religous dogma as the past... However the illusion is indeed a safety net... not many I know could handle the No-Boundaries that our Spirit truly exists in.... the illusion is just the stage... and admittedly we are all here to perform... to perfect... to learn... to experience.... and when this is done... well - "Life" does continue in another realm.. at least that's my belief...
So... <stepping down off my soapbox.... offering it up to anyone else who'd like a moment...> Be the Magician in your own life.... create the Magic to make the illusion perfect for you... and when you hit those speed bumps in life remember we're all sharing this illusion together!! Reach out and grab that hand that's offered to you!!

A somewhat aside: I live in a very popular area where these huge half mill dollar 4,000 sq. ft. houses are popping up like mushrooms in a rain forest. Talk about buying into the illusion wholesale!

How are you doing?

I had the thoht come across as I was reading these posts and I am thinking life is not an illusion at all. It is very real. But all the man made objects, intangible as well as tangible; distract people’s thoht processes. I think people are overloaded with tasks that don’t amount to a hill of sand. For example, I am drowning in paper. It just keeps coming in the mail. I throw away (recycle) a big bag of paper mail that I never even open every week. On the other hand, I don’t get the newspaper delivered or buy one. But I get enough magazines to make a newspaper every week. Light bulbs! Those GE light bulbs have become so cheaply made they last about 2 weeks. Mankind wastes about 10,000,000,000 hours changing light bulbs every year. Think about how much effort is put into making cars, planes, guns, rockets, and bombs. How much for road construction on over passes and under passes to nowhere. Life is not an illusion. What we do with it usually is.

I think if you simplify your life, away from the tasks of material maintenance and listen to the call of nature (as God, in the Bible says, that’s why I made the Earth) we can see the greater life in the majesty of the world and the universe. Someone said Life doesn’t come with an instruction book. Well, I challenge that notion. If you listen to nature, you can down load an e-book written specially for you.

The idea of no boundaries, no judgments, respect everyone is nonsense.
Without these there is chaos and chaos is pure karma of nature. A spiritual being is more bound, more judged, more respected than all of karma. If you don’t act like an animal (or a plant) then you must be something else. What would you be if not an animal, plant or rock. Well, the debate goes on. Some of us will be wrong, to think they can save themselves from here, for only a few have been recorded, and not many believe in them.

I watched the Sunrise today. The very first peek of light case long shadows on the ground. It was like I caught the sprites of nature sleeping, awakening, yawning, then stretching to stand up like anew born long legged Leo Garaf. Then, suddenly, they noticed me, and turned on countless floodlights of color to hide. I saw a little one smile as it jumped into the color. It said, Hi Darwin! They know you, if you just listen.

come on, Ted..take it easy..

bear in mind that the Universe is perfectly structured..PERFECTLY, everything that exist- has their meaning - tell me ONE thing that exist and is useless and you will get a reward, even the smalest thing has a meaning, even the dust has a meaning, which come to say that we all are a part of a big chain..still don`t know what the menaing of our existenc is..but be sure - our life is not an illision, it has its own meaning!!!!!
I wish I know the answer though...

Life is not an illusion, it's very real

is that to say we creat illusion to satify our ego or some perverted need, like I created an illusion to feel pain and grief, I needed to create the illusion of joy when I gave birth to my children I think not we'd all be something like Stepford Wives numb and with out the holiness of spirit

That was beautifully put, Dar ... and Biss. And I agree. But I also agree that much of our experience of life is an illusion ... our cultures do not give us much of a frame of reference to value what is real, and instead teach us to struggle for baubles and ego-gratifications that don't have the persistence of a may-fly. Our ambitions are often dictated by a society that values the illusions of status and possessions foisted on us by mass media, and these do indeed turn out to be empty dreams.

It is sad that so many of us experience such meaninglessness in our lives ... but on the other hand this is a hopeful sign, because it means we are at the stage where we are ready to make a transition in our consciousness ... to toss aside the materialistic dreams and frame of reference of past ages which had their purpose in getting us to this stage but which have now indeed become empty illusions and take a new leap of consciousness into a direct awareness of spirit and love that leaves behind the outworn values that we now experience as meaningless and illusionary. And to that extent, I think it's a GOOD thing to see much of modern life as an "illusion" that it's time to outgrow!

that was interesting, Greg..very interesting....your thought is beautiful but it is immposible to become real in the near future, just immposible, we are very very deep routed to our habits and the matersialistic world......but of course this is just a opinion..as it is mine :
I guess you probably all remember what we studied at biological classes at school- the *natural selection* in the Nature - all weak, ill and not-reliable animals soon get victims to the wild and stonger animals - they eat them, so at the end - at the end in the herd stay only the strongest animals which can breed strong and healthy children...
well, I am afraid that there is such *natural selection* upon the people too- remember- we all start at the same level,we are all same at the begining, and we all grew and end up in different direction depends how strong you are - some ashieve a lot, the other - get confused, couldn adapt to the present life and got smitten by the routines of the life ,they soon die-psychologicaly I mean...and all the progress is due to the beleiving in life individuals, the bright ones..

that thought just sneaked in my mind...ggrr..I better go to back to work now

I hear you, Biss, but don't forget that the darkest hour is just before dawn.

All of the metaphysical sages and prophets ... as well as religious prophecy ... and our own dear Linda ... have pointed to this time in the evolution of mankind as the dawning of a new age ... call it the Aquarian Age or the Kingdom of God or what you will. I DO believe that is where we are at now, though it's difficult to see.

This discussion forum and the internet itself is one symptom of that, a bringing together of minds and spirits from all over the world in a "virtual mind" where we can share thoughts and feelings and develop a group consciousness that was never before possible. (Yes, there was "mass media" before, but that was always centrally controlled, a government or corporate structure deciding what we "should" see and think ... but the global conversation on the internet is directed by US ... it is individual minds talking directly to one another, rather than a one-way broadcast of some "official" view of reality!) There are many other signs, too, including a worldwide surge of interest in things spiritual and a decline of traditional dogma ... and more and more people worldwide openly expressing dissatisfaction with the greed-and-power based structure of modern society.

It's hard to see this transition occurring clearly because we are smack in the middle of it, and yes it will take time but in the wider scheme of things the change is happening in the blink of an eye! Like all major changes, though, there is a process of breaking down the old to make way for the new, and the old structures are resisting fiercely. We will see lots of struggle and chaos before the new paradigm of spirit and love replaces the old of physical power and materialistic competition, but it is happening before our eyes.

It is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius!

ha ha ha, Greg, very beautiful, darlin`, very beautiful said..ya know - you sound pretty " Marks and Engels"-ish...communist-ish, haha...remember - I come from an ex-communist country - the highest ideals - NO to the materialistic world, NO to materialistic capitalistic USA ( )which only destroy the natural essence of the life - the love and the light, NO to money..all has to be peace and love, love and light..all together ..no first and last - all equal..you see what happend when somebody tried to convert the real life ,the real *greedy* nature of the people to something that exist only as a beautiful chimmera,
and the people were MUCH MUCH better, beautiful and spiritually minded before Internet to lock us at home - lonely, non-socializing ,no eyes to eyes contacts, hidding our weaknesses and vices behind the computer screen..people closed in their our enviroment...I only can imagine when aquarius Uranus will be replaced with Pisces in 2003...then the real meaning of our nature will show up ...you never know...

The problem with Communism ... or with any system aiming to create a Utopia through political means ... is that it brushes the reality of political power under the carpet. The ultimate power of ANY government, WHATEVER its stated ideals, is the point of a gun! And whenever you have centralized power to compel, it is always the most corrupt and power-hungry who will rise to control it. The transformation I am talking about will not arise from new forms of government, new laws, "world police" or any such schemes, which are ALL manifestations of the old paradigm, regardless of what humanitarian rhetoric it is cloaked in ... it will arise in the consciousness of each individual, in the values and actions we choose to express. In time, that will filter into the social institutions we choose for ourselves, but not the other way around.

I remember the words of one of the twisted villains of Ayn Rand's novels "we have to control people to force them to be free!" Yeah, right.

BTW, the precession goes the other way -- we're just leaving the Piscean age, next up in a mere 2,400 years is the Age of Capricorn!

You're absolutely right, Biss. Actually Uranus will be in Pisces until April of 2011. Neptune will cross over in May of 2011, then retrograde back into Aquarius before finally entering Pisces for good in March, 2012.

We were talking about different things ... by "Age of Aquarius" I meant the crossing of the Vernal Equinox into the constellation of Aquarius due to the precession of the Equinoxes caused by the Earth's wobble on its axis. This causes the equinox to shift backwards by one sign (against the fixed stars) every 2,100 years or so.

Yes, I've heard about the Mayan calendar ending its complete "cycle of civilization" in 2012, but I'm not completely clear what this means. Can you explain?

this year - 2012 has been discussed a lot..Major shifts in planetary consciousnes await all us with a very prominent conjunction between the Winter Sun, the Milky way equator and Ecliptic , at that year also Neptune enters its home sign for the first time in over 150 years. 2012 is the year that the ancient Mayans predicted that civilization on our planet would be "complete." isn`t that scary...

Well didnt need people to tell me things were
