Puff, you have both Jupiter and Pluto in Virgo in your third house of communication - - but I imagine Kelly-Anne was talking about her own Virgo, um, thoroughness. Love, Virgo Greg

Hello Everyone - Just wanted to add something to my dove story....two days ago, as I was driving home from work, I happened by chance to look up at a telephone wire. A marvelous and wondrous image appeared - I saw a large white dove. As I passed this beautiful creature, it took flight and flew into a grove of trees. WOW - I am in awe over the Universe blessing me with contact with these doves. Definitely, a message....just need to figure out how to apply this message to my life. Thanks Everyone, Love, Puff

Kelly-anne, Love the animal stories and wish to share my mutual impatientce with mistreating any of them.I was taught by my grandfather a lesson I think all small children should learn. He was Indian/french and my biggest hero/teacher with all animals. There can be only two real providers of unconditional love.God and dogs Each will forgive and give you there life if need be.Remember that dog is simply God spelled backwards. He gave us the animals for comfort and protection. We must repay Him with our appreciation by caring for them well. I have three dogs at this time. Two are a mother/son team, minature schnauzers.I love them dearly. Then I have Jake a stray that has been here two&half years. He is a shiny black mix, think God sent him to me&I'll tell you why!I certainly did'nt ask for him, did'nt want to keep him,he refused to go. One day he sat on my foot, came from nowhere just appeared. In fact his head is on my foot as I type this story.I live in a small rent house,on a limited income, two dogs is pushing the limit for me.Though it would be fine if I was in my own home to have bunches. They are expensive to keep properly, shots, the pest control tabs for fleas, ticks, food, toys. When Jake came to me I tried to locate his owners,no tags or collar.Hauled him to the 3 vets. here to see if they knew him, mailmen to see if they knew him, then to dogcather to see if they could help me.No one had seen him before.Ran an ad no luck proceeded to locate a new home for him.Could'nt keep him,no room! Placed him in good homes twice.Jake would run away...to me.The last time I found him busy digging under the fence to get in my yard.I thought oh well I give up...he was so darn determined to remain with us.Took him to the Vet for exam&shots named him Jake as he liked the name.Remarked to the vet.that someone had gone to the expense of neutering him,he never seemed to show any bad habits,so why would they dump him? He does'nt even so much as bark, very quiet little dog.The vet is a close friend &knows my love for 4 legged, brown-eyed creatures.Suddenly the strangest look came over her face and she started examining him in a frantic way.She looked me straight in the eye and said this dog has had a terrible experience,he was a victim of a satanic ritual.Have no idea how he survived. He was not neutered by a professional and his throat has been cut,he cant bark.As she showed me the scars I was so sad that I had never noticed the old scars, was so busy not getting attatched, trying to find home for him that I had missed noting it all.Cried all the way home.Knew I would keep him forever!! He is such a loyal little guy,so full of love, thrilled with me!Looks like a dashhound with straight up ears, shiny black, two white toes on each little foot.Remember the dog in the Coors-Lite comercial??The fresbie chaser that could be Jake!He is my dog now forever. My daughter that has now passed on, loved him instantly,he loved her too. When he came here she was being stalked by an ex-husband. This man had poisoned my schnausers and her little Sheltie. The dogs lived but barely. The dogs knew this man and ate his deadly poison without question.Later as he painfuly learned there was Jake to deal with,a silent but able to sink teeth deep, little fellow.Twice he has alerted me to his presence in the nite.He comes to me with a frantic look in those little eyes.I know to alert police and now no problem.Built a tall fence, spot light to rear of home.We needed each other you see? If I am asleep and a relative approaches to wake me....he will not let them touch me.He is so serious in his effort to keep me safe. That is my story of Jake,a gift for me. Y2sprite

Knowflakes, Question to you all? I have always related to animals so much easier than humans so this thread is like heaven to me(all threads are good tho!! My little Schnauzer,LB is such a little magical creature, shy and many traits I can never explain. This one trait I think is the most unusual of all, perhaps you have experienced it?If so tell me or explain? I have had many health problems since 1988,a few very serious! When I was home after back- surgery and in bed healing(never there long) When I would wake in the morning there stood LB with a doggy-bone waiting for my eyes to flutter open.He would pounce on my chest and attempt to pop his treat into(now grit your teeth Kelly-Anne)into my mouth. He worked feverishly,non-stop till I finally pretended to accept it.Off he would go to bring me yet another.Repeated this little ritual until I was out of bed.I would put the treats under my pillow, replacing them (when he wasnt there to see)in the treat can. This went on till he decided I was okay.Every time I had a health crisis this spunky little guy goes back to work....more dogbiscuits!! Expain or tell me if your animals have done this.If I ever fall cant get up as they say...I shall be ok LB will feed me treats! Y2sprite

Gosh! Y2Sprite, What incredible stories.......the first about Jake, my skin absolutely crawled when I read about the rituals, I can't and don't want to imagine the pain that little fellow went through......poor thing, it's amazing he has any compassion for the human form at all after that.....but isn't that what's so wonderful about these darling creatures, so forgiving, I have to say I think you were DEFINITELY meant to have Jake in your life........he probably KNEW you would protect him and care for him like no other.......give him a big hug from me. As for LB, hmmmmm! I'm not sure about the "feeding you his treats thing"...... but I have to say it doesn't really surprise me that he does that, although Monty (my golden retreiver.....not with me anymore )wouldn't actually feed me his treats, he would comfort me and offer his toys and bones etc to me if I was sad........when I used to sit on the sofa and cry, Monty would jump up and try to lick away the tears from my cheeks, then he'd muzzle into my neck and wimper very softly as if to say, if you're unhappy so am I......he always used to make me smile even when things were he'd bring his favorite toy and place it on my lap, probably thinking it would cheer me up because HE loved it!!! I am sure we all have some very special stories to tell about our experiences with all our pets, I think it would be great to share them.......it makes us feel good and also remember those that have left us for now. Thanks for your stories Y2. Love and Laughter, Kelly-Anne

Kelly And All, This is a lovely little story to bring comfort,or to heal a heart for anyone that has lost a beloved pet. This was surely written by someone for a heartbroken child or one like all of us at this thread, with many animal companions. I have found it useful for my own child,at that time we all dread, when the tears come that will not stop!! Rainbow Bridge Just this side of heaven,is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been close to someone here, the pet will go to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows, hills and the greenest grass. There is clear water and food. The sun always shines. All the animals who had been old,are now restored to youth and vigor. Those who had been injured are made whole again, just as we remember them in our dreams gone by.The animals are happy and very content except for one small thing; they each miss someone they left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one will stop and stare into the distance. The bright eyes are intent, the eager body begins to quiver.Suddenly....it breaks from the group, flying over the green grass, faster and faster. You have just been spotted and when you and your special pet meet, you cling to each other in a joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face;your hands again carress the beloved head and look once more into those trusting eyes, so long gone from your life, but never from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together..... Author Unknown This story even calmed a frightened dying little boy.He told this story over and over to any one that would listen. So use it as you will...fiction?? As Linda said is only waiting for the reality!! Magic&Love to you All, sprite

Thank-you Knowflakes, Will learn to make the smilely faces so I can do a beaming...blushy one!!My weak spots are like the song "Watermelon Wine".. Have counciled abused, molested children in my nursing career.Like the animals they teach you so much. One note of these two precious mixes of innocence, the child that is suffering from damage will turn to a pet in almost every case. That is if some one will be wise enough to provide the opportunity.Their need is to know a love they can trust. When a cruelty observed by an adult to an animal, will 90%of the time be repeated to a child also.Lets keep our eyes wide open and stop them in their tracks Love&Magic, sprite PS.Sorry about climbing on my soapbox.

If you're going to be on a soapbox, sprite, that's a good one to be on. Harm done to the innocent and defenseless is everybody's business.

Crystal has shown me a nest outside her window and I'm assuming the female sitting on it ......wow, what a sight, we didn't want to get too close for fear of disturbing them..... Wisesoul I know you ran through the meaning of the dove on the last thread when it crossed my path but.......what does it actually mean to have them NESTING at your house???any thoughts?? Good question Kelly-Anne! Actually, what might it mean to you? A nest is representitive of the desire for family life, relationships, a home base; a safe place within the self. Safety and security--especially that afforded by the mother. Perhaps peace and contentment. It also can denote an incubation period, a resting place, before new creative ideas emerge. I would also say that other possibilities in meaning would be the womb, parenthood or home making activities. Responsibility and cooperation from each parent go hand-in-hand with having a home/nest and the raising of a family too. Apply these meaningful interpretive possibilities to your current situation and see what may be revealed to you. Perhaps you may wish to meditate on it. Whatever works best for you. Examine from afar what they do, study their behavior, listen to their sacred voice or song of spirit and so on. Let the moment move you where ever it may without arresting it with intellect. Rejoyce and let the spirit of the dove(s) move through you and know that a gift has been brought to you as represented by their nest/home and have choosen to live, out of the countless of other possible places they could have choosen to live, they have chosen to live upon your grounds. How do you see yourself in this moment while observing them? How might you apply this to your life? I hope this helps you Kelly-Anne in some way. God Bless! A fellow ARIES

Dear Wise Soul, I thought I would ask you about crows! I've heard stories about what it means to hear a crow . . well crow from different angles. I just heard one crowing behind me in the distance somewhere in the south-west. Just curious! Lots of Love Seamistress

Hello Seamistress, What were you thinking about at the time your heard the crow calling? What feeling did you associate with it? What were you personally feeling at that time? What was the first thing that came to mind? When you delve deep within to find the answers, you may or may not receive any answers. Don't despair. Keep working at it if you found that the crow calling behind you to be significant enough to give effort and meaning to it. Not every time you encounter a bird or animal and so on will be needing interpretation. Many times a "Feeling" is usually associated with the encounter. It's an inner knowing that something needs to be payed close attention to and listened to very carefully. There is usually no feelings of axiety but has more of a intuitive and/or instructive feel to it. Some people may be in an environment were there are many birds around them all day long. In such cases as this, I wouldn't pay too much attention, effort, or feel the need to believe that they are trying to all tell or show me something. I have an entire flock of Ravens and Crows that live just below me from the mountain or hill I live on and I hear them every day. But I don't always get an urge to interpret their calls and so on. But!, just today, I was crying because of best friend is leaving to live elsewhere in order to find work and go to school. A Raven flew very close to my balcony and cawd three times. Three(3) being the number for expression and sensitivity and is also part of the interpretation for Raven. I instantly "felt" that the calling of the Raven to be a validation that my sorrow was being heard by spirit. And I felt somehow validated and my heavy feelings felt as though they were lifted from me. I then thanked the spirit of the Raven for his blessings upon my heart. Crow and Raven are part of the same family member. There are actually five species of crow...the only significant difference being in size. Crows intrigue us as well as, well...at times, agrivate us...LoL. They call upon the secret magic of creation. Since they are around all day and all year, thus becomes their cycle of power. The crows color is so black that at times, you may see hints of deep blue and purple on the feathers. Black being the color of creation among other interpretaions. Creation can be seen as the womb out of which the new is born. It is quite difficult to even get near a crow. They fly off rather quickly...LoL. I really could go on interpreting crow forever but I'm already getting long winded as it is...LoL. If you insist on knowing more, I'll provide more information as time permits. In the meantime, work with some of the questions I posed to you and see what you come up with. A Friendly ARIES

Dear Wise Soul, Thank you for your insight! I'm pretty sure I was thinking about snakes and dreams because I was writing a reply on the Dreams thread. We don't usually get crows around here, it's just pigeons, sparrows, blackbirds, and starlings (don't you love that name!). I heard it cry two times only. Should I then disregard it? I love crows' feathers, they definitely are black and I usually see a tint of blue reflection in them. Once more thank you. Lots of Love Seamistress

Hi I was wondering if any one here knows anything about the spiritual significance of moths? Another thing that I have recently thought about was something that occured several years back. I briefly heard about the birth of a bull that was changing colors, something like that. I was busy at the time and didn't have the time to find out more about it then. I just remember hearing that it was an 'omen' that native americans have been waiting for. Does anyone here know what I'm talking about? If so can you remember approximately when this occured or give me some clues about the situation so I can search the net to find out more about it. I like what WISESOUL-33 wrote on this and other threads, is this person no longer active on the board? The url they mention isn't listed on the profile as stated in their messages. If anyone here know the web address & could post it I would be greatful. I hope I haven't asked to much ~Peace

Hello Peace, A woman has brought me to the attention that someone was requesting assistance. I guess this must mean you Peace. So first off, I would like to say Hello to you dearest soul. The only bull legend I seem to remember was about the Sacred Great White Buffalo that the Natives were waiting for as a sign of great changes to come I do believe. Ummmm...I haven't posted here lately since I have been really busy with my own web site and counseling others. As far as my URL, I will place it in my profile for you/others. As far as Moths are concerned, could you tell me a little more about your experience with seeing or encountering the Moth(s). Or is it just a general question you are asking of me? You can email me as well as visit my web site if you so choose to Peace. I certainly welcome you and I hope you will enjoy your visit! I will also post a reply for you here as well as for others to view as time permits. God Bless, take care and talk with you soon! ***AN ARIES RAM I AM *** ***WISESOUL***

Hello once again Peace. I had some spare time and so here goes. Although there is not much that has been written about Moths in a spiritual sense, I will write what I know of them. Within the stages of metamorphosis/change, the cocoon is only spun by the Moth. It is said that a Moth represents Self-purification and self-sacrifice, after the manner in which moths commit self-immolation--to kill as a sacrifice. Moths may be small but quite destructive as you may well know. They will eat right through clothing and so on. Now depending on what you experienced with them and depending on the context of what the experience was, it can mean that there may be damage of some sort that may not be seen until it is much too late. It can also denote a warning at small irritations eating away at your ideas and attitudes. Kind of like holes in your thinking so to speak. As I have already mentioned, it depends what the moth was doing at the time you saw it. You can take what I have given you here and apply it to your life's situation and simply add to what I have written here. As I have said time and time again, use your intuition. Make it up if you have to just to get into the habit of exercising your inner intuitive abilities. Your inner answers are more important then what I may interpret the moth(s) as meaning for you. I hope this helps you in some small way Peace. Well I'm off! Take care and God Bless! *A FELLOW ARIES*

Hi all, so excited to have stumbled onto this thread !! Peace, I just wanted to tell you and everyone that there is a book called Animal Speak which is a very good book for animal totems and explaining the meaning of such....I'm positive a few of you have heard of it, no ?? Puff, that was a beautiful story...just beautiful. I read it with tears in my eyes... so precious. My stepmom (gemini) could never refuse an animal. We always gathered strays in our house !! We would sometimes have 18-odd animals in our house at a time. One time she found a robin that had fell out of its' momma's nest. She rescued it and tried to put it back but the momma wouldn't take it. So mom fed it softened dog food and the like, and we raised it for a month or so. We finally got him to get out on his own, but he never left our yard and always talked to us. One year he left and came back with a mate. We called him Baby. She came to trust us and talk to us too. They were around for years and years, always coming back in the spring. One year Baby didn't come back. We were so ~~~sad. Mom cried. But baby's babies still come back and talk to us, year after year. I have so many animal stories to tell !! They are so courageous and true. Animals have always meant so much to my family and I. When one of our dogs would die, we couldn't even take going to school, we would cry all day...Thanks for this thread. A good place as a memorial for our beautiful animal friends. Blessings, ~Gali

For Yogi, Who was always there and never forgot. Dog ~ God, remember ?? And for Darienne, whom Yogi would have loved with all his beautiful doggy heart. I miss you every day. BROKEN ARROW, Rod Stewart Who else is gonna bring you a broken arrow ? Who else is gonna bring you a bottle of rain? There he goes, movin' across the water. There he goes, turnin' my whole world around. Do you feel what I feel ? Can we make it so that's part of the deal ? I gotta hold you in these arms of steel, lay your heart on the line this time. I wanna breathe when you breathe, When you whisper like that hot summer breeze Count the beads of sweat that colour me Didn't you show me a sign this time ? Who else is gonna bring you a broken arrow ? Who else is gonna bring you a bottle of rain? There he goes movin across the water. There he goes, turnin my whole world around. Do you feel what I feel Do you feel what I feel Can you see what I see ? Can we cut behind the mystery ? I would meet you by the witness tree, Leave the whole world behind. I want to come when you call, I'll get to you if I have to crawl. They can't hold me with these iron walls. We've got mountains to climb. Who else is gonna bring you A BROKEN ARROW ? Who else is gonna bring you A BOTTLE OF RAIN? There he goes, movin' across the water. There he goes, TURNIN MY WHOLE WORLD AROUND... I love you baby. *thanks to essence for helpin me remember, and therefore allowing me to pay tribute to the best friend I ever had* ~Gal
