Hi all-I'm a huge, huge fan of Linda and her works. I lost 65 lbs in less than 2 months on her aura diet; in my work, I'm constantly telling people to get the book. What really needs to happen is that the diet get exposed to the American Public in general. Does anyone have any ideas on how to do it??
Has anyone else had sucess with it like I did??

Hi Kelly,

Great to see you here. Welcome to the site.

Thats great that you succeeded with the rainbow diet. I have thought about trying it myself but have just never got round to it.

I believe there was a topic in one of the forums about this, where others had tried it. I'll see if I can find the thread but it may have already dropped off as it was a while back.

Thanks for the quick reply and help, Kate! Wierd my name is Kelly Ann(no e!)!

I had wonderful results with the diet! It really released stuck energy in the solar plexas chakra-I felt more like "myself" than I had in years and years....Empowerment is an added bonus!!! As an Aquarian with a destiny of 9, I'm determined to get the word out to all soon to be former "fatties". Now I love my body and I'm a weightlifter; it's been almost 4 years!!!!!!

This site is like a dream come true-her fans must have manifested it!

I don't know a lot about her life and death. Perhaps someone who intimatly does should write her biography! I was in shock when I heard she died-do most of her fans accept that as the truth?
Thanks again!!!

Kelly.....I'd like to welcome you too, and I'm so impressed with your results......I confess to having tried the diet once, but did not have the discipline I needed to stick with it.........(I don't have the discipline to stick to any diet!)But maybe I should give it another try.....

Glad you found us, Kelly....this is a great place

Love and peace,

Well hello Kelly-Ann (without the'e')

How absolutely magical that your name is so similar to mine.......and the amazing thing is I have had to watch the pounds most of my life, I have tried just about every diet you could imagine, yes, I lose the weight, feel great but if I look at a piece of chocolate cake for more than 30 seconds.....it's straight on the hips!! and then I'm right back to square one!!

How have you managed to maintain a steady, healthy weight?.....that really is the big burning question, for me and many others
Do you continue to have your red solarised water, and use the colored light-bulbs???

I think it is a fabulous idea bringing this diet to the masses, but I think that was Linda's intention when writing Star Signs, and it has sold sooooooo many copies!! but maybe not everyone is convinced that it would work. I would love a breakdown of your daily routine.....if that isn't too personal

You sound fit and fantastic!!

Great to have you here.....and we shall all look forward to your input and comments!!

About the book on Linda's life......all good things come to those who wait patiently

Love and Laughter,
Kelly-Anne

Welcome Kelly-Ann
I wondered about that myself. I've never actually tried the diet but I've heard wonderful results from it. I never understood why such a thing didn't go public. Hmmmmm. Perhaps we should send it to Oprah Winfrey, she has the sort of open mind that she would probably put it on her talk show, well that's what I think
Hope to see you around!

Hello Kate-thanks for the reply again!

I have not had to re-do the treatment, but I did install full-spectum lighting in my home, and I go to a tanning booth or lay out regularly-I live in Maine where it's cloudy or cold most of the time!
I think listening to the music(I used Green DAy!)with the INNER EAR is very important. The music needs to move you for sure. At first it's disturbing and unerving-probably because it's so different, but my tolorance for the loud rock music incresed. Does anyone have any other questions about the diet???

Hi Kelly, warm welcome!! I just wanted to share with you all the story of how I "met" Linda. It does kinda relate to this thread!!
You all are so patient. My Gemini stepmom and I, both intense lovers of books and knowledge in general (always QUESTING) were shopping one day and we came upon star signs in a low-price bin...the place where escapes me now. My mom had heard of Linda because of sun signs (got interested in astrology in the 70's) and picked it up. We both started to read it right there. We had to buy it...it had such a draw. But, even though one of the most fascinating things about the book to her was the diet, we too had never tried it. Now, I'm a Sagittarius (almost full-blooded) and you all know Sags tend to flit between their interests ... awful habit but hard to break. Now I'm interested in going back and trying it out on my own !! Thanks and blessings to Miss Kelly. The idea for the heavy rock never occured to me but I think that it would hold my interest!!
Just as a side note, I was raised in Maine too. Until I was 13. My natural mother and my ELF GRAMMA is still there too...I still call Maine the home of my HEART!!

GALI!!!

Hi Kelly,
I am planning on doing the 'color diet' for plumpies but I have some questions that I could really use some answers to because I want to do it correctly. Any help will be tremendously appreciated!

White Sugar- does this mean that if a Nutritional Label lists sugar in the ingredients ... it is a no no?

French fries- why aren't they okay? is it the oil that they are fried in?

Is Grilled Chicken okay? or does the darkening caused by the grill make it a no no?

Is Soy Sauce a no no?

Did you drink any diet soda pop while on the color diet?

I hope that those questions don't sound too silly.

One last question- Did you do the color booster suggestions daily?

Thank you for your original post on this subject, Kelly!
...and Thank You to Linda Goodman for coming into our lives!!
-Teresa

Hi Teresa:

I may be able to help with some of your questions. Sugar isn't recommended because it will either be white (bleached) sugar or brown sugar. Bleached products aren't good for the color diet, but they are passable. Linda wrote more on this -- bleached flours and sugars -- in a newsletter she used to publish called "Star Notes." (Linda's addendum is given at the end of this post.) Of course, brown sugar is out.

You're exactly right about the french fries. You may eat french fries made at home if you fry them in butter, canola oil, or safflower oil.

Soy sauce is unacceptable for the same reason as margarine. It's made with soybeans, which flouresce blue/green.

You'd be better off avoiding sodas, which are usually sweetened with high fructose corn syrup and/or sugar. Diet sodas are usually sweetened with NutraSweet, which is detremental to the color diet. You can drink honey-sweetened lemonade, orange juice, pineapple juice, red grape juice, milk . . . As you can see, there are lots of other options. But, then again, we're 20th century people. We've been eating chemically processed and bleached foods all our lives. Our auras should be used to it be now!

The way Linda presents the information makes the color diet seem extremely difficult to follow. I don't think that was her intention. I think she just wanted us to be conscientious. I believe that it's the general tone of what you eat. Don't stress over individual foods. You won't always be able to eat correctly, no matter how hard you try.

I've tried the color diet a number of times to varying results. There are two reasons I really didn't succeed as I should have. One was anxiety (as you'll discover in Linda's addendum). I believe the other factor was my color bath music. I used to listen to pop. As Kelly said, the music is a very important part of the process. You really should listen to either the Sousa marches or the loud rock. This time, I'm using the Sousa marches.

LINDA GOODMAN IN STAR NOTES ON THE COLOR DIET

15 March, 1989 Star Notes - 6

All right, now to answer you personally, those of you who have written all those questions about the color diet in the Forgotten Rainbows section of Star Signs. 1 will respond in this Star Note to only two of them, the two most frequently asked, since the others concern puzzlements each of you should be able to solve by using your own very intelligent minds, combined with your intuition and logic. Figuring these minor matters out for yourself is good for you, and will cause your brains to jog down the highways of deductive reasoning, resulting in the activation of new brain cells in the process !

Question Number 1 relates to your confusion over the pounds gained and lost on the color diet. Along with the hundreds of letters telling me of your amazing success in using this ancient weight loss (or weight gain for the "skinnies") formula, I receive letters with such queries as "I lost 5 pounds the first 3 days - then nothing for the next two weeks." Or - "I didn't lose a single pound for 10 days, then lost 9 pounds in one week, then the loss went up and down every few days." Or - "I lost 2 pounds a day for three weeks, then I began to gain a pound a day for a week, and after that, I didn't either lose or gain. And they all end with "what am I doing wrong ?"
Well, there are two answers. Yes, you are doing something wrong. As to what it is, I take all the blame. I shouldn't, but I will. Actually, the blame should be placed on the typesetter of Star Signs and the publisher who did not carefully check the galley proofs meaning that a paragraph of my manuscript was deleted. Consequently, I'll explain it again
now. The deleted paragraph informed my readers (in italics yet!) that the color diet works
best when you DO NOT WEIGH YOURSELF during it - to STAY AWAY FROM THE SCALES until the required period of exact days has been reached. There is a metaphysical reason for this. First of all the color diet is designed to bring your body into perfect harmony, the perfect weight for your individual bone structure and body build Therefore, in many cases, the color diet will first (or later) redistribute your weight, causing it to shift from where it shouldn't be to where it's needed, instead of causing it to disappear.

This redistribution period can occur in the beginning, the middle or near the end of the required period of days. At other times during the period, weight will be lost when necessary, after the body weight has been balanced (or earlier).

The first reason for avoiding the scales (hide them in the attic or the basement !) during the color diet is the RE-DISTRIBUTION of weight we just discussed. The second reason not to weigh yourself during the entire period is a mystical but quite sound and practical one - a truth that very few people fully comprehend. In a word, it's ANXIETY. Peering down at the scales with a mental microscope, meticulously counting the pounds, half pounds and quarter pounds either lost or gained, creates excessive enthusiasm - or the opposite, exaggerated and unnecessary disappointment and depression. Both of these emotional responses cause the release of certain acids from the brain which interfere in a very powerful manner with the delicate balancing taking place in the body.

This is why I strongly suggested in Star Signs that you try on the same pair of pants or jeans each day following your color bath and notice how much better they fit. This is a much more reliable index to how the color diet is working than your scales, for the reasons already given.

The second question most frequently asked is 100% my fault. I can't blame the typesetter or the publisher of Star Signs for this one ! Your acute intellects have been asking yourselves (and me !) a very logical question. "You say that white flour is a no-no," many of you write, "and you say that anything brown, such as whole wheat flour, is forbidden on the plumpie diet - that we can only use the color white - so how are we to make the noodles and pizza and so forth which are permitted for the plumpies who want to lose weight, if we can't use cither brown or white flour?" An excellent point.

Here is how I goofed. and I apologize for the error in the book. Before I explain it, let me answer the question first. You may use white flour when you make your noodles (with yellow butter !). This is why. A few pages before the list of permissible red-gold-yellow-orange ray foods for the plumpie diet, I wrote that white flour products are no-no's, not good for you. True.

What I neglected to say is that it's true, in general, for everyone, plumpies and skinnies alike. However while you are involved in the Color Diet or Rainbow Diet, certain basic or general rules may be broken - only for the period of the color transformation. When you have balanced and harmonized your body, having redistributed and lost the proper amount of weight, then you can return to following the counsel that white flour and white sugar are no-no's for your general health. I've received not a single complaint, by the way, from the "skinnies." Either they are following the rainbow plan properly and flawlessly - or skinny folk are extremely rare in the world at large! The ratio of you who are delighted with the success of the color program for weight loss and those who are having problems is about 3 to 1 in favor of successes, and I trust that the answers I've given here to your most pressing questions will make it work for you . . . because it does work, I assure you. A special scolding to those of you who say you are "doing everything except drinking the solarized water, because you can't find the red glass — or you are "skipping" the red or rose tinted glasses Booster step — or skipping other facets of the program — don't expect success unless you follow all the steps given.

END OF LINDA'S ADDENDUM

Hope this helps.

Thomas

Hello Teresa and welcome to this wonderful site ...

Thomad dear ... thank you for that addendum ... and for sharing more of Linda's truth ... this should really lighten up the skeptics ... to take a "jog down their deductive reasoning" pathways and get new brain cells in the process which will definitely bring out a "young, optimistic and trusting outlook" to the outdated modes of our thinking processes ! ... I truly believe tht when people are not finding the answers to Linda's truths ... inspite of her saying that one must experiment and experience the magics to truly believe ... they must be doing it the wrong way ... or viewing from another angle ... With the "Linda is right" knowing to guide me on my way ... I can never go wrong ... ... unless I want to ...

love

Hi Thomas,
Thank You so very much for your exceptional reply to my post! Thank you for sharing your experiences and Linda's ADDENDUM on the subject. Very helpful information that will help guide me on this magical jounery that I plan, and look forward, to taking very soon.
I do have some comments/questions relating to your excellent answers:

The Music- My supportive partner in life is a Latin Percussionist and he's making a tape for me with Bongo's and Conga's supplying the drum beats. That should work, shouldn't it?

High Fructose Corn Syrup- Oh. I thought that Corn Syrup would be okay, just not Maple. Hmm? 'High Fructose' seems to be in a lot of stuff these days. My diet soda question was posed misleadingly (I'm feeling guilty) as I am a Diet Pepsi-aholic and I was willing to switch to a diet red raspberry type soda but one of the ingredients in diet soda's these days is Aspartame which is an Artifical Sweetener (a big NO NO, I know) but I thought that maybe (as long as the color of the drink was in the right spectrum...) Busted, huh. See Thomas, that soda thing will be my greatest challenge to success with my jounery. A 'test' that I plan on passing with flying Colors!

The Grilled Chicken- did that question make any sense. Does the outer surface of 'okay foods' color affect the spectrum balancing?

Thomas, I promise that I will not stress too much over the food part of this journey. I am just curious (and want to be a good student).

Thank you, again, for your help with my forthcoming journey.

And a Thank You to Druid for welcoming me to this wonderful area.

-Teresa

Hi Druid and Teresa:

I'm glad you found the addendum to be helpful. Linda wrote some very important info there. It's a shame it was accidentally left out of Star Signs.

Teresa:

I'm feel positive about the music. Linda specified music with lots of drum beats, pounding Mars music. So, the Latin percussion tape may fall with the proper guidelines. I just used my Number Method (described on the Words and Numbers Forum of this site) and got a positive answer. I'd say go with it.

About the high fructose corn syrup . . . Well, fructose is bright white in its pure crystalline form. Corn syrup is clear. So, the combination high fructose corn syrup may be fine. I was just thinking that it might be a little detrimental because of the processing involved.

However, and this is most important, I don't think it will prevent you from losing weight. I don't think it's beneficial, but I don't think it will completely halt the process.

You saw that Linda had to amend her instructions regarding white sugar and white flour. This seemed like wonderful advice in Star Signs. But, the food portion, as described in Star Signs, is so restrictive that to follow it exactly is very difficult.

Likewise with the sugar substitutes. They're detrimental to the process, and I feel you should strive to keep them to a minimum, but I don't think they will keep you from seeing success with the color. (Again, my Number Method confirms.)

I think sugar substitutes and high fructose corn syrup are probably less detrimental than aspartame, NutraSweet, and other artificial sweeteners. So, you'd probably be better off drinking regular sodas instead of diet drinks. The irony, the irony!

My Higher Self (Number Method again) says it's better to avoid the grilled chicken if it's going to be darkened to the blue-green spectrum in the grilling process.

Still, remember that the foods need to be red-gold on the whole. This bears repeating: You won't be able to follow the color diet flawlessly all the time. Just try to be conscientious. I can tell that you will be.

Good luck, loser. (How often does one get to say that and have it mean something positive?)

Thomas

Thomas!
What would I do with out you?! You were obviously sent to help me and I cannot say Thank You enough times!!...well I could, but you would start getting a headache or in this case...eye strain. I am intrigued by your Number Method information and I plan to check out that forum soon.
My latest obstacle is those light bulbs. The highest wattage I have found is 60 in opague red (ceramic) and the 75w and 100w bulbs (which are actually Reflecter Bulbs) are too large for a goose-necked desk lamp. I thought that problem was solved when I came across an old brass goose-necked floor lamp in my garage but - guess what - it was a bit too old and when I plugged it in to test the bulb the curcuits in the house all went dead

So, may I ask how you are handling the light bulb situation on your end?

Your reply made my day so much better. I laughed an smiled at being called a Loser.

Thank you, Thomas.

Hi Teresa:

I'm glad to be of help. This information is too important to be selfish. Considering all those who need to lose weight for energy, self-esteem, and -- most importantly -- health reasons, I don't have a right to not help! Being blessed with this information is, well, a blessing.

You can get 100-watt red opaque bulbs from Atlanta Light Bulbs: 770-491-3145. I got regular 100-watt bulbs from them, but also a 150-watt red flood. That baby shines! You can also try Wal-Mart. I recall seeing colored bulbs and colored floods there.

Hope this helps.

Love and red light!

Hello Lightworkers!

I am so pleased to find this topic has really gone off like a rocket!!! }) Exactly my intention...let me add some details of my experience without being too influenced by what I've read here and remember about Linda's writings....
I used tons of white suger. I ate butterscotch and bananas at 11 at night-Lasagna,Lots of Italian stuff.. "fattening" food-only I focused on the Color I was putting into my body. So to me, grilled/blackened chicken would be out; cancer causing free radicals from grilling are bad for you anyways!
Soda in general interferes with digestion-stay away from it! That Nutra sweet will kill ya too. I did drink one cup of black coffee every morning. Sorry, I just wasen't going to give up that!
I really stuck to the solorized water(plastic glasses I got at Walmart)consumed at room temp. I used a red outdoor accent lamp pluged into a portable lamp-again, Walmart or hardware store!
I weighted myself every day-I was losing a pound a day for awhile there!!! I was also doing yoga, though, and really getting into the color bath with rock music. At first it was very disturbing to me-especially first thing at daybreak-but I really feel it "charged" my solar plexus chakra. ***The beat of the music I listened to is just a bit faster than even normal rock music. Much Faster! Listen to some of the Green Day-Fuel-Eve 6.-What can I tell ya? Someone other than me that knows a lot more about music could look into this for us...hint....hint....***
I haven't done a thing since going off the diet different except(a biggie)I'm now weightlifting. I love to work out and I feel the diet gave me back my self-empowerment. I will add too that It's Tre Important to wear white and red and pink clothes; think of it, that's the filter the light rays go through to get to your body....I'm also very interested now in Feng-Shui and the colors around us in general! I'll elaborate on this in another thread if there is an intrest!

My greatest wish(as only an Aquarian would wish)is that my fellow brothers and sisters are able to balance themselves and get on with their lives as well!
I did have a great belief in this diet-it makes perfect, logical, scientific sense.

Love and Light,
Kelly

ESSENCE,
I started losing weight from day 1 and when I stopped losing, I went off the diet, so I wasen't a slave to the scale and don't even own one now, although I do weight myself from time to time. I really have gotten over my weight issues-what freedom! Most importantly that last 10 lbs. you starve yourself to loose and then regain the instant you start eating again. Giving up chocolate at first was hard(I ate white choc)but now I don't very often crave it at all! Like attracts like...I think listening with the "inner ear" to the music is very important; to feel it rushing through your cells. One reason why it dosen't work for people is that diet is "too good to be true" but simplicity is an earmark of truth, is it not?
I want everyone to give this diet another sincere shot! At least experiment with seeing how you feel after you eat white/red foods as opposed to dark brown foods. I have also read of another diet simular to Linda's which uses cyanne pepper and red, spicy foods. Einstein Proved matter is light, and light is energy. This diet is very logical, even though our brain seems to resist it, because of our cultural conditioning!
Love and Light to you All!
Kelly
