Dear Daiz,
You live in Nelson! WOW! Man that is too cool. We live in the same island! I adore Nelson there are so many great individual people there - and it has unbeatable weather too, don't you think?
I plan to move to either Wellington or Nelson when I am finished at school, I think both of these places have a really good feel about them.

I am so pleased to have met you

Much love and wishes for peace profound,

Laura

Dearest Rainbow,

Coolness! Well that is a coincidence!(but now I remember there is no such thing as a 'coincidence', so there must be a greater reason for this ) I wonder if your Zeeland is anything like our NEW Zealand? Perhaps you could share a bit about sleepy Zeeland.

With love and serendipity,

Laura

Hello all I guess it's about "time" I shared who I am with you since you've inspired me so much. My Sun is in Sagittarius, my Moon is in Aries, and I have Aquarius Rising. I know, I'm odd I live in Miami and am not too eager to stay for long. I will be heading off to St. John's College in New Mexico in about a year to study (what else) the Liberal Arts Eventually I plan to study music in depth. So far, I have spent 6 imaginary years singing and am learning to play the piano. However, I am interested in so many things (Mercury in Sag) that I don't know exactly what I want to "do" with my Life. Except, of course, Live. Oh yeah, I also found Linda She has been a beacon of light to me, helping me to find myself and, thankfully, all of you. MM, MP, & MMA

This is so amazing ... just a few days ago I was discussing career plans with a friend and she mentioned she was really interested in archaeology. That is something I wanted to study when I was "little" but now I'm kind of leaning towards anthropology. Then again, there's World Religions and Philosophy ... but I've always loved to write I guess music's my thing Well, maybe I'll just end up doing them all I'm glad I can discuss things with you (all of you ) that other people would want to have me institutionalized for. LOL

Hello, I have been a browser for some time now, using a friend's computer on occasions. I am an Aries with no inkling to join in except now.

I have nothing to offer in words of wisdom but am most definitely an opinionated person at times about what others say and think. I believe it is every individuals right to be as outspoken as they dare, to be able to shake the foundations of lies and other treacheries which lay camouflaged but close to us all.

I'll only have access to this site on occasions. Hopefully I will be able to join in more often now that I have taken this first step.

Hi all

I am fairly new to the site and love reading everyone's thoughts. I am an Aries (lots of Aries around here!) and I have to agree with you, Laura Mc, that when I found Star Signs 3 years ago it became sort of a bible to me as well! And now I feel so fortunate to have discovered this forum and so many beautiful people. It is wonderful to know that with so much ugliness, violence, and destruction on this Earth there are still SO MANY MORE who believe in LOVE and LIGHT!
I am a wife, teacher, daughter, sister, aunt, elf-child, friend, and thinker... and I love visiting this site because you all spiral me into so many directions!

Scorpiorising, thanks for the thread - it's great knowing more about the people here. And thanks also to all those who welcomed me so warmly yesterday. You really know how to make a girl feel welcome.

I first read Linda Goodman when I was about 14 or 15 - and was hooked for life! Her messages and her style have always captivated me. When I learned of her passing I felt as though I had lost a good friend.

So, to add to this thread, my abreviated bio: I'm a Pisces with a Virgo Moon and Cancer rising. I am currently owned by three cats (you never pick cats, they always pick you). I've been an Editor and right now I am an Accountant. I have no idea why. But, I will be going back for my 3rd degree (I must be nuts!) in January. However, as usual, I can't decide between Programming and Psychology. Maybe I'll do both! LOL!!

If I stay the course, and pick Psychology (current favorite), I intend to use astrology in my work. I have a question: Does anyone out there know of therapists using astrology in therapy, as a tool of understanding and guidance? - Do Jungians use astrology? I'll check back later in the day to see if anyone knows.

Everyone have a wonderful day. I'm keeping all the fixed signed people in my prayers!

Peace be with you all,

Laura Elizabeth

Hi Laura Elizabeth. Yes, a lot of therapists use astrology in their practice -- and most of them to my knowledge are Jungian in orientation, since Jung's focus on archetypes and the collective unconscious ties in so closely to the astrological viewpoint. Liz Greene, a certified Jungian therapist, is one well-known example, and there are many others. There are also many astrologers who do not describe themselves as "therapists," but whose consultative work with their clients is very therapy-centered (for example Jeffrey Wolf Green, author of the popular "Pluto" books.) Hope this helps.

Great ambition!!

To all the beautiful spirits that visit this site. I discovered you just a few weeks ago. I am shy like many others so I mostly just observe.

I'm a Capricorn Sun, Leo Moon, and Libra Asc.
I am also a number 7 being born Jan. 7/77. So I enjoy uncovering all the mysteries in life. My name number is a 15 which strangly is the number of posts on my one and only post on this site. I live in Vancouver, Canada on the beach. But one day I long to live on a hobby farm surrounded by animals, my children(not born yet), a beautiful garden with my soul mate(not married yet). And together as a family we will spread much love enlightenment and goodness to the world. That is my goal which also includes having my own business maybe a book store.

Thank you for providing an outlet to share my ideals.

Thank you Linda for bringing us together.

Dolphin

PS I am very interested in swimming with the Dolphins when I am pregnant some day. Has anybody done this? I don't know how but I plan to do it. Maybe I will volunteer at an aquarium. The idea is from Linda's Star Sign's.

I echo the others in wishing a very WARM welcome to all the new Knowflakes who have posted.....it's wonderful to see sooo many....

Laura Mac......sorry for taking so long to respond.....I've only lived in Zeeland for about a year and a half...so don't know a lot about it....Zeeland is about five miles from Holland, MI, which is situated on Lake Michigan (I must ALWAYS mention my magic lake, as I love it so much)

Both Zeeland and Holland are composed of many dutch people who immigrated here....and you'll find many Christian Reforemed Churches, in the area...nothing is opened on Sunday in Zeeland, as they keep the day holy.....there are no bars in Zeeland...and in Holland EVERY year, they have the great TULIP festival....they have had this festival for over 50 years....there is a wind mill on an small island, that came from the Netherlands, and the Prince himself, came over to dedicated it.....the Queen of the Netherlands was also in Zeeland a couple years ago...for a ceremony....so the towns, are remotely connected to the European Dutch....didn't mean to get carried away....

Love & Peace,
Rainbow~

Purple Peace, my birth data is 3/16/65. I saw the Meet the Knowflakes page and it's great.

Gregory, thank you for the information. I should have been more clear in my question: Do Jungians still use astrology (and other symbolism) in there work - and thanks for letting me know they still do. I'm planning on using astrology as another tool in the healing bag of tricks. Around here (CT) there are still laws on the books that can get you arrested for being a practising astrologer - I doubt it's applied often, but some have been asked to move. So advertising myself as an astrological consultant is not a move I want to make right now ;>. But I do want to use it (and other methods) in the healing process. Hmmm, wonder what the profs. at the Catholic University I'll be attending would think of that ?!? LOL

Peace be with you all,

Well, hello all! I'm new here - just found this site tonight, and am so pleased that I did. I found Linda through "Love Signs" in 1983 after a very painful breakup, and have turned to it (it seems) simply thousands of times since. I've had to buy a new copy, but my old hardback is still as magical as ever, and calms my spirit in the same way it always did. It is such a good feeling to think there are others out there for whom it has the same effect. All this time I was thinking I was the only one who is still moved to tears by "The Planets".....can't tell you how many times I've turned to it for comfort and solace.

I have lots of questions and other things to say, but for now just want to say "hi" and thanks so much for the warm invitation to join this special group. I hope to see you all again very soon,

Love to all from your new Virgo friend :-)

Layla

WELCOME Layla!!!!

Glad you found us. I feel exactly the same way about all Lindas' books. If I were to take 2 things to a desert island, I think they'd have to be Gooberz and Star Signs!!

Hope to see you again soon,
