Hi All
I am so pleased to read what many of you have written, and think, about wellness, manic deprression, and the like. With all that is going on around is in the world, if we felt good, that would be a major concern and cause for medication, would it not??? Take the Tsunami for example. I have been deeply distressed ever since; I FEEL the distress, the fear, the pain and uncertainty that is circulating. That makes me a sensitive and compassionate person; rather than a robot, which we have far too many of running around and running governments, corporations and such. Medications, making billions for the drug companies and addicts out of millions of unsuspecting folk listening to traditional medicine, can numb us all so that we, too, can be robots and walk around smiling while disasters kill hundreds of thousands. That is not what I would call health, though. I am in my 50's and struggle with many of the feelings you describe. I honor all of your who struggle similarly, and struggle to keep your sensitivity, your kindness and caring in tact DESPITE the odds.
Support is important; and surrounding yourself with like minds and hearts. And keeping as much distance as you can from the robots.
When I see someone flipping through the TV channels, and see the number of prime time shows DEVOTED TO portraying
VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND CHILDREN, it is no wonder that the world, and the women in it are in the state of distress that they find themselves in!!!!!! Everywhere we turn, we are being told by the ever powerful media that: we are objects, we are DISPOSABLE, and most often, those who dispose of us by whatever violent means are not EVEN PUNISHED, or if so, very lightly and briefly. WHY?? Have you ever asked yourself????????????????????????????????
We are the LAST (bottom) on the list FOR NOW. But this WILL change. It IS changing. And the process will be painful for us all, as we are seeing.
And I hope to soon see a movie like Fareinhiht (sorry, spelling)911 come out by some BRILLIANT woman bringing to ALL our attention the VICIOUS ATTACKS against us that happen every moment of every day throughout the media-- images like we saw in Michael Moores movie, images about the depth and breadth and width of violence and abuse depicted toward women, not just in 3rd world countried, but right here in the most unhealthy USA.
The time has come. Band together, take care of yourself and others like you. There is strength in numbers as men have known for eons............and used against us.
WOMEN WILL BE HONORED, RESPECTED, VALUED, PROTECTED or our planet will not survive.
In hopes for health, peace, respect & valuing for us all,
Annie
