My knowledge of Astrology is minimal.

The indian system of astrology use the moon as the center if i am right.

Is it possible to develop a hybrid between the western and indian systems of astrology?

the sun - long hand
the moon - small hand.

Would that not give us more accuracy that just sun signs or just moon signs???

Since my knowledge is that of a beginner my idea might be primitive. Always happy to receive enlightenment.

This is a really interesting idea, but I'm not sure how easy it would be to create a "hybrid" system like this. Western and Vedic (Indian) astrology both come from a single root, and even today they have more in common than they have differences. But one BIG difference is that they use different zodiacs ... the Vedic system uses a sidereal system that keeps each sign with its original constellation, while the western system uses the tropical zodiac where the signs "drift backward" every 2,000 years to account for the wobble of the earth ... so the signs that the Sun, Moon, and all of your planets are in are DIFFERENT in the two systems! That would be pretty hard to rectify in a hybrid system. Many astrologers, however, study both systems, and use them for different purposes: Vedic more for prediction, and western more for psychological and character insight.
