Greetings from new member!!!! I am interested in karmic implications of the nodes and am wondering if anyone can shed some light on mine - I believe that they are in the 6th and 12th houses. Here's my info:

Born July 15, 1974
Springfield, Ma 5:43 PM

Hi Ruby,

There are some postings about the nodes, and I believe that the 6th-12th placement was covered specifically. I am not sure of the threads' names, perhaps someone can help out here.

I will look at your chart when time permits, yet someone else may step up to the plate before I can get back to you. So read the threads to find the commentary on nodes, until someone with a sharper, possibly more Virgoan mind than mine, responds.

Hope you enjoy this site, hang around and your questions will be addressed at some point. Do ya still live in Mass?

Bright Blessings,

Carlo

Thanks, Carlo, for answering me so quickly! I did read the postings on 6/12 nodes, I am just not sure which is my north and south, and how they relate to my specific chart.

I don't live in Mass anymore, but visit often and still miss the New England autumns.

There's a joke in that name, but I'm not sure what it is!!!! Yeah, I'm not even sure which is my south and north node because I don't have a copy of my chart handy.

Hi Ruby,

The North Node looks like an upside-down "U", and the South Node looks like it's opposite, a rightside-up "U".

So you are a Cancer? Are you an emotional girl? Just wondering. Do you feel that somewhere in your life, you lead, or were born to lead, something? Like a group, or even just your own life? And are you family-oriented? You don't have to answer this stuff if u r too shy, that's cool. I am just inquiring to see if you tend to fit your Cardinal Sun Sign traits. Then we can go from there.

I think I'll have time to look at ya chart this coming week. So stay tuned, and you'll get some info from us as time permits.

Are you happy you found this site? Because we love having you! Tell ya friends (just the cool ones )!!

Blessings,

Carlo

I owe my sparkle sister Isis thanks for the discovery of this site!!!!!! And yes, as a very fledgling astrology student, I am thrilled to be able to learn from you all. So, Carlo, to answer your question, I do definitely feel meant to lead something, it's just a question of what, at the moment. Also, I know that my moon in Gemini and my Sag rising lead me towards learning, discovery, and etc. More mutable than cardinal, I'm afraid.

You saying there's something wrong with us mutables? Just kidding, although you probably will lean more toward your Gemini Moon traits than towards Cancerian ones, until you're 30 or so. That is a nice blend though Ruby! Fire rising, Air Moon, and Water Sun...do you know where the Earth is?

Chat Soon,

Carlo

There is no earth in my chart, anywhere!! All Fire, Air, and Water. Why will I lean towards Gemini traits until 30? Are most people dominated by their Moon sign in early life behavior? Also, does that have anything to do with your Saturn return? Mine is in Cancer, as is my Mercury. But my Venus is in Gemini. Does this enlighten you in any way?

Oh Venus in Gemini! A flirt, huh!? And yes, one tends to lean more toward their Moon traits until the Saturn Return. So I think that you better stick around because you need some Earth! I can help, I have a little. Here is an example now.

Hey Ruby...this is your favorite site, right? Good...you're staying here with us. Got it?
No, this is your place, sit and type. You are a homegrrl here. Okay? Ruby!! I am not kidding, I mean it. Ruby, I hope you're listening to me. Ruby...okay, good.

Now I have to mosey out of here for now, but you stay put. See ya later,

Blessings,

Carlo

Hiii friends!!!

I dont know if this question belongs here, but here it is anyway....what is that "circle with a cross in it sign"in a chart?what does it signify and how do u interpret it?

Hey ,i too have my nodes in sag/gemini!!What could that mean? could u hint?I would love to know!!

Also, would it make a big difference if u got ur birth time 5 minutes ahead in ur chart?I mean,in my vedic astrology the date of my birth was 5 minutes more than in my western one.

thanks!
love
shagun.

Shagun, the circle with a cross in it is called the "Part of Fortune," and it is a mathematical point calculated from the combined positions of your sun, moon, and ascendant ... that is, unlike most of the points on your chart, there is no "real" astonomical body that it corresponds to. Some astrologers use this point to indicate the synthesis of your whole personality; therefore the house and sign where it appears in your chart would be the place where "the real you" is most comfortable, and most likely to attract good fortune.

Astrologers differ as to how much weight (if any) to give to the Part of Fortune, but most would agree that it is not as important as the actual planets themselves.

You have my interest piqued!!!! THank you so much for looking into this for me. My question, is the Sag/Gem axis you speak of my moon and ascendant?

Yes, I think the Part of Fortune is one of the more important ones, of all the Arabic Parts.

Blessings,

Carlo
