I know Linda said that Lexigrams can only be done in English, it being the original language, BUT... haven't a lot of English words derived from Latin and visa versa? I mean, the word FATHER contains a Latin word... FAT, meaning speak, this is how he made the world, through the Word. Then, one day I was looking at EARTHLINGS and it just hit me... something else it revealed, among others... this:

~~~~~EARTHLINGS~~~~~~~~~~
RA: I SING IN ENGLISH
I SING IN LATIN
HEAR IT?... LISTEN!
And strange to, the Latin language... I've been wondering if it began it's origin in Atlantis. For ATLANTIS reveals:
~~~~~~~~~~~ATLANTIS~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
LATIN IN ATLANTIS?
IS ATLANTIS LATIN? IT IS!

And it must be of some importance... isn't it said that America is living the karma of Atlantis? And our forefathers who designed the 2 sided American Great Seal must have found Latin to be of some significance to put it on the Seal itself... E PLURIBUS UNUM, ANNUIT COEPTIS, & NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM. Also, a book titled 'Dweller of Two Planets'- Phylos the Thibetan, which is about Atlantis, reincarnation, and Karma... there are many references to Latin words and such... this book is listed in "Pilgrim's Progress" in the back of 'Star Signs'. I would LOVE to know what others think... so much imput is oh so good! I love all the growing-knowing we're all doing with one another! Sharing is great! Love and Light!

Has anyone ever read The Language Crystal, by Lawrence R. Lyons? It's quite intriguing, and he does some really profound interpretations of what's going on in the world based on the root meanings of the names of the major players. It's not like Lexigrams, but I think it's an interesting connection based on what people have been saying here about the validity of lexigramming Latin or Greek (the roots of many English words). Lyons says that English is subsuming all other languages. Think of how many words we have directly borrowed from French, Spanish, etc. Also, English has more words than any other language--somewhere around 500,000 versus 150,000+ Spanish, for example. English does seem to be taking over the world. It's the international language of business and travel. Many foreign countries teach their children English from early on. It's too bad that the violent imperialism of England and the USA has been the major cause of this proliferation, but there is no doubt some sort of grand destiny for the English language, perhaps a reclaiming of its original state, as Linda suggested.

Just some musings.
