Do let me know if thats ok with u friends?!! Meanwhile, let me just write a small little poem.An utterly amateur effort but hey...pleaaase...dont laugh!!! titled:HARDWORK Yes,i have hurt you... cut you in half, with my cruel words. In love with the thought, th very thought of hating you. You say, youve never, ever, met a woman... who's so much of a shrew. You havent done any wrong, to me... and yet i bear a grudge? ** Will you just walk away...?!! Have you ever, just ever once... shook me so hard, held me so tight, gazed peircingly in my eyes, and asked.... demanded....shouted!!!! Why,just why... i hate you so much? Why.... do i try so hard?!!!! Ok guys....tell me something...what zodiac sign lady would feel as the person in the poem is feeling?I personally thought it could be either scorpio or leo. What do you think? Please let me know! thanks and do post here!! love shagun.

Hey, everyone!! This is a great idea. I just happpened to write a new song yesterday, for the which the inspiration came from this very forum! After reading through a thread about twin souls, my heart was warmed so much, I wrote a beautiful little tune about soul mates. A refreshing break from my ususal doom and gloom songs. ( Other titles include "I'd rather be a crack addict" and such). Well, here goes. It sounds much better when delivered as a song, but this will have to do. Think lullabye You are my favorite mystery Are you real or are you history? I believe in twin souls that meet. You were my king, and I your servant. And I was your healer, you my broken. Egypt and China to America and Ireland We were meant for each other's arms I hear you laughing, even when you're not with me. You hear me, when I'm only thinking. So, love me like you know how Like you will, centuries from now Well, that's all I have so far. Maybe one day, you'll hear it on the radio, and you can say you heard it first here! I do love poems. Let's hear more! Love, Isis

I love this idea. Hurt, pain, without gain, raining inside, smiles outside, seeing destiny cupped in your hands, standing tall, amidst it all, believe in you... the you of you... for its true... "love conquers all"... no more pain, hold truth in the pyramid of your soul and light the light of centuries past, do not mask, the joy of knowing, your knowing, by listening to others, of long time passed, who forgot, how to ask their angels, their God within, their source, their light, forget force, let it come forth, the joy in your life, without strife, no more alone, for you have found always within, that Light of knowing, where you are going, from where you have come, from the Sun... from the Moon... from the Stars... from the One. This is fun! *Aries* Kate

Okay, my turn . --------------- Here's to those brave souls who fight The battle of the sexes: Throwing curses, hurling hexes, Each deciding the other's hiding From the truth, and riding Too high on a mighty horse -- No wonder I'm three times divorced! But still in all it must be said, That without love, we'd all be dead, Or better yet, unborn, And so we tend to bear the thorn That pricks a little in the pride But gives us what we need inside To feed the mighty appetite For sweet love and affection. A connection Is a cosmic thing, That makes you laugh and dance and sing And shout about the glowing clear light Of life's sweet delight! A man and woman should be friends. It seems to me, it never ends, If time and tide and circumstance Contribute to the sweet romance Of human beings being freeing To each other, And a lover Isn't just another notch In the gun slung at your crotch. Love? I don't know, but it's sweet To sit at the lotus-feet Of confusion and illusion Working into understanding, And a being undemanding, In acceptance and delight, Until there really is no fight, And, dancing to the beat, I can be me And you be you, And ever the twain shall meet.

The budding poet tries again... Listen, quiet heart, at the break of a new dawn, a yaaawn, a smile, remember a child... my child... my baby Gemini boy, all snuggly and warm... no sadness, just gladness, that he was born, for all is good in our lives, no fears, no tears, these are special years, no need for more, today my heart soars, free of sadness, no violin strings... it was yesteryear, when my heart felt that sting, that longing, that yearning, for one other, and to share love, the love of a Child and Mother... no more need to cling, even for a fleeting moment, to the sad tone of my heart and the violin strings, for now in my heart, the harp sings, the drum beats within, jumping and pumping with love at the break of a new dawn.

Gregory/Webmaster/Daddy, That poem is so AMAZING!!!!!!!!! How did I not hear this before? Such beauty and truth never sounded so sweet. Really, it's quite stunning. Please e-mail me a copy if you would. Kate, your poems are very beautiful as well. I love the fluidity of them. Here is another go at a poem/free-verse I wrote last year. I'm trying to find the love but watch your back, a door opened a crack may swing wide to uncover the trembling existence of a trapped wood nymph living in the branches of my heart, who yearns to roam the mountainsides and rainforests and hills in the untainted magical land of the loving. And the forest of love calls to her, begging to put an end to all suffering and accept the overflowing everlasting cup of the best love you ever tasted. And it will roll over your tongue, as a fever washed away and ignite the burning bursting energy that surges through your body, and shoots out far and wide and long and deep. And it will blanket the entire universe and I will be taken around the moon to the sun and back again and burn burn burn as bright as the firey stars. I am the stars, I am the earth, I am the air. In the divine land of the loving, where wood nymphs play and flower fairies spread love and beauty to life all around them. With love in my heart, Isis [This message has been edited by Isis (edited 03-11-99).]

OK here it goes....remember I haven't done this before and I don't believe I am an accomplished poet by any means..... Skies colored black and blue I think only of you Sun you must surely shine So my heart is truely untwined I can't give up this fight I must believe in it's might Sing me a beautiful song I need to love thee life long Love thee not hate thee Open your third eye and see My mind needs no permission My love has no condition Take me in your arms And keep our love from harms I love you my Soul,my Self Hmmmmm.....I liked it! Hiii Isis/Greg/Kate/Kelly-anne, god!!!Iam sooo pleased!!!Budding poets?!!!no way man!!!You guys are really good, way too far from a budding poet. Amazing/beautiul/excellent!!! I was just transported elsewhere reading ur lyrics, truly!yknow its so amazing that poetry tells u so much about the individual it comes from!really! Now im having quite a bit of an idea about everyone(i hope that dosent invade ur privacy?!)and its so nice to realise that such beautiful souls abide on this site!!Makes me feel a small pinch of pride and lots of joy!! Keep it up friends! This is really, reaaly good!! Another amateur effort: titled:Im Happy...Today. Iam happy today..... suddenly.....
Each breath grants a new life, time has stopped silently, ethereally. Iam suspended in a glorious eternity, Bliss flowing like a golden ocean. Each beat of my heart peirces, emerging forth the awesome magic, of love's ultimate, unending power... that i had long...forgotten. Feeling formless and yet living, oh,living indeed to full, this time. Seems like a hazy, drunken trance, yet clearly in reach,a promise. So protected.lying finally secure, in arms that clasp me so strongly. Being caressed like the night, stars. Adored and kissed by gentle, tender eyes, like the sun lends the moon light. Standing forever and ever beside, like a companion of shore, the waves. Touching each star as i pass on, on the wings of an exotic breeze. Swaying like the graceful trees, having angels in my symphony. Flowing and discovering my being... In you, through only you... I have searched and desired long, but now does destiny entertain me, for i have passed my souls test, and the heavens open before me.... Today and finally iam happy...... I now stand complete... ..Universally. bye!see u guys with some more gems! love shagun.

I am grateful for this thread as I am a lover of words and poetry! Here are two of my poems... ********************************** "Singular Gemini" Holding your own hand, hadn't you always said that you were the only one to understand yourself completely? The Twins stand admidst their duality yet they recognize the other They sense, perhaps, the brother, sister, the lover And you resist the company of me I, the Bull, who would have held your hand so effortlessly... ******************************************* "Astrology's Musical Chairs" Taurus hurts Libra sleeps with her resting her head on his chest. They feel each others' heartbeats and feel safe.
Scorpio hurts Libra sleeps with her in a room they know well. They make love for eleven years and feel safe. Taurus knows Libra tilts toward devotion She is alone in bed biting her nails and spitting them onto the rug. Scorpio knows Libra tilts toward new-found love She reads her harlequin romance to keep her mind occupied and pets her cat with low, hard strokes. Libra serves both loves striving for balance, equality, fairiness The house grows smaller every day. ************************************* Thank you for reading! LMB

Kathleen, of course you may use my poem, I'm very flattered. I've read your Sherdhana's Hand lyrics, and they're wonderful -- all your lyrics are! Here's another twin-soul song of my own: Lady light, it's the middle of the night, And you're not here but I'm feeling alright, Tonight I'll have to love you in my dreams. If my heart beat harder it'd bust its seams, I'm a fool to be rushing in strong, Where a wise man would have been long gone, Lady light I feel so free, And can it be, You feel the same for me? It's a mystery, How we can fly so high and free -- Lady lover, you're the other Half of me. Lady kin, you're a twin of mine, A brother and a mother and an androgyne, You are in my darkest hour, When I was a honeybee I knew you as a flower, I will take you for a ride, Then I'll meet you on the other side, Lady light, I loved you when This world began, I'll love you when it ends. Then I'll love you again, While we fly so high and free -- Lady lover, you're the other Half of me. Lady fire, with your desire, You're fanning my flame and it's crackling higher, It's not a matter of time or space, It's not a matter of needing a place, It's just a matter of needing to Be dancing through Eternity with you. And I always knew, That we would fly so high and free -- Lady lover, you're the other Half of me.

A poem about my twin s-elf, wherever he may be. He is named Erich in this poem (and in the series this poem belongs to) but his name could be, really, anything. That name just struck me. "Erich" was written and inspired while listening and absorbing a wonderfully haunting song called "Wilderness" by the group "Dead Can Dance". ******************** "Erich" And there he stood Etched in moonlight, dewlight, twilight and my light. He had no face to gaze upon yet he was beautiful. He had no voice to speak yet was music was heard. We looked inside and there our breath drifted into the wind So when we touched we quivered and upon dancing we flew. **************************** LMB

Hi, all I just wanted to come back to this because I've written a poem, I think you all might enjoy. That is if anyone here is into love and light, and thinks the "system" . . . blows. We, who choose bindness over kindness To see the self as something ese Afraid to look bravely at who we are To look far into pasts unseen At who we've been Cause me and you are more than blue We are dazzling white And should delight in our divine right To dance in the light As sacred beings As humans seeing each other, loving one another as sister and brother is the truth of this madness And I've had it with all you fake takers Who pretend to be movers and shakers Who crawl in muck to make a buck Cause I'm me Not some commodity My body is not for sale And if you think I've failed Then you've sold out It makes me want to shout . . . And laugh, too

************************* "Soliloquy" Sitting in black belly night a skeleton leaf tickles my skin like the stir of an eyelash. Ginkgo trees orbit my veins while the earth pulsates beneath my feet. Hush in fire wind To the moon I listen: "It's time to open your eyes" I think, perhaps, she is right that the light might bend back to me. ****************************** "Prophesizing" I am meant to be more than I am More than the times I go crazy and stand up against the sky wearing black just so I'm seen. I am meant to be more than arthritic hands I wring and wring, reaching out to more than I have, not having it after all and I am meant to be more than just proof of gravity I've tried to fly - I have. I've become a pent-up child and tried to fly over the ocean just to see if it would hold me. ************************

Hi Pixie, Gregg, Kelly-Anne,Kate, Isis, LMB and KJS, It was wonderful reading your spiritually-evolved poems which is inspiring and thought-provoking Since I am a dreamer too...I'd like to share something with you... "How many strive tired and weary each day to make another's dreams come true ? But - what about YOU ? Don't you have a dream or two or have you stashed it away in your crumbled-jumbled mind crushed so...difficult to find ? Is that an excuse to lose YOURS-ELF Be one with the crowd No need to stand out and be pointed at ARE YOU AFRAID OF THAT ? ...then, pray, tell me why do you cry when you are never going to do what you want to do to yours-elf never be true... why ? Thanks for the chance to spread the wings of poetry... More later... *the spirit lives on*...

Dear Pixie, Was contemplating on your poem - the one that features the Scorpion emotion and your statement of you identifying with Scorpion even though you do not have a Scorpio Moon or Ascendant and then eureka ! - the answer appeared... Each sunsign is like a characteristic to adapt unto oneself. All the sunsign qualities are present in each of us in varying degrees depending on our sun, moon, ascendant and other planetary position - so it just might be that you worked hard on the scorpion trait or emotion of "passion" since you tuned into it so well - that is why you depict a scorpion attitude when it comes to your ardour with the opposite sex...I guess its our liking for a particular trait that we bring to fore that lies dormant in us and voila...we are surprised that we possess that trait too never even once realising that it is was there within us...so one needn't be a Scorpio to possess this trait, nor be a sag to possess the trait of optimism and trust...it is there in everyone of us... oui ? "quite!"

Or should i ignore it? but theres no question about it.... it was there,it is there, ....and it will be for evermore. A memory,a pang,a restlessness... do you feel the same too? Running away,i found myself, on a distant sea shore...., in a starless galaxy...., in a lonely twilight. Why,who are you to me after all? holding my soul,my spirit itself, ...in the palm of ur hands? Tried to conceive a situation, at the end...without you... and suddenly,i laughed,because... even then...you met me there! Like a never ending round circle. There never was real living ... without you... when did i forget, why did i remember, feeling torn inside trying to run blindly, away from...my own being...it seems... An extension of myself...i see in you. A tranquility.a peace,a bond... always there when i reach out. Invisible yet, eternally in sight... One of these empty days, filled in you, just...tell me... ....who are you? ...who really, are you....! bye my friends!i gotta go now.Pleaseee....dont groan!! love shagun.

Up in the hills in the peaks of my mind Sprouts a water spring in a forest of pine Within this pool of droplets resides A water fish drifting in suspended time Many a nights does she stare At the wondrous moon and the stars in the sky She says to herself, "Why can't I be there?" And dreams of having wings bestowed to fly Up she gazes and imagines the spoor She must take if she goes in pursuit And although she dreams of being a bird She knows in her heart it will never come true So up she stares and never looks down And dreams of all the happiness she would have If she ever had even the slightest chance to become A star up in heaven Well that's my contribution! It was one of my first poems so hopefully I've evolved since then. I LOVE all your poems. They're just absolutely aesthetic and inspiring. What a lovely assurance to know that in a world of chaos there will always be miracles and magic happening everyday! Seamistress

I enjoy all your poems, they're so deep and magical! Shagunj, I love 'Hardwork!' It was so powerful did you write it about someone or was it all in your head? Keep writing Seamistress

Hello again ! I am working on the "poetic presentation" of astrology, and I thought it would be fun to send in a poem I created on the "moon-in-aries character...so check it out ! "Do you know whats it like to have your moon in Aries ? Let me tell you... Your emotions are on fire what you feel is pure desire to love and hate and create a fairy-tale kind of love affair beneath a long-forgotten castle stair... your emotions are strong they push you along with a force that never dies no matter how many times you've tried to quell its burning drive to reach the truth of yesteryear... your warmth and innocence in love and hate induces lovers and enemies into a passionate state driven along by your powerful emotions washed and re-washed in your turbulent oceans of intense feelings... Fired and inspired you ever are belief in miracles and the evening star independent and wild so much of the child in you... watch out for jealousy and pride as you trustingly stride in your armour of naivete they can destroy your sensitivity and weaken your strong will making you ill with pain and no gain and suffering for no reason at all just because you fall so easily into their trap ! But I know you, brave warrior of the heart you never give up once you start in any emotional endeavour you seek to render the long-lost innocence and faith in true love surrender with a passion so true spiritually anew with love you give away so generously every bit of you..." Any Aries and "moon-in-aries" out there who agree ? love "moon-in-aries" druid

Druid u are very kind!!!i miss ur mails!! well, yeah maybe saggi rising?ok,heres one i write on neptunians,my piscean buddies. Titled:Independence Making numerous partial lists, of things that i could do. Wondering just how ever, I shall cope with ur abcense. Comforting myself persistantly, you would be gone only a day... ...one whole unending day, Making me cry desolate tears. Then those agonising times, when in a minutes invisibility.... and i'de reach and grope in bed, consoling myself of ur presence. Remembering ur cutting remark, "you behave like ure abandoned"! I had clung harder to ur arm, even avoiding the idea like plague! Obeying every conceivable tradition, lest i anger the strange unknown. Who could snatch you away, even if for a seconds half! * ** ** ** * Now,ive changed,of course... actually doing the jobs enlisted. Your absence now,not a day,but forever.. The day u decided.... to teach me Independence.... well,i dont know if ANYONE could identify with this poem!!!its absolutely...weak!!! But yes, there were times when i have felt exactly like that.and i do i have truly learnt independence.Losing urself in someone is never the answer. love shagun.

Sigh...how right you are !!! "Losing yourself in someone is never the answer..." Thanks for that wonderful piece of wisdom, just what I needed, now that I am in "the down-in-the-depths-of-depression" "knowing that you are losing your(s)elf in someone is the answer to realising your independence" Wonderful poem though pixie, even though it "w(r)eaks" of weakness...I sometimes behave this way though. Nothing but fear...whoever said we have nothing to fear but fear itself, sure knew what s/he was talking about or hadn't the vaguest idea... toss the dice and (d)(e)(c)(i)de... thanks once again pixie and i will send you a mail shortly. My e-mails "youandiforever" and "aphrodite888" are giving trouble...some problem with the hotmail server...but "lexigrams" is back in action - so you'll be receiving one shortly... till then keep writing 'em poems...do you know that "poem" is "mope" and that this word vibrates to the number...24, the karmically fortunate number (single no.6 of love). So you see all poems (adding the "s" makes the word vibrate to "27" - 9, note the 6-9 vibration here) are personifications of LOVE...so keep writing !!! Love ya druid.

I have been "encouraged" to share....... Spiritual Reflection In search of the truth how many will find it lies in the heart of our complex mind. To reap what we sow how many of us know life is for giving, for loving, for growth. A gentle breeze a warm spring rain how nature can cleanse and so much to gain. A search in our hearts is all that it takes to find the real truth with no need to escape. The hearts of us all will one day unite to shower each soul with sunshine so bright.

Hello everyone! Don't worry I haven't left, I've just been really busy. I was wondering what other poem I could put up here and then I thought of the perfect one! It's called THE STAR When someone goes away it's like looking up at the sky And seeing the brightest star shining away It encumbers you as you want to fly Fly to them but you cannot stay Days drag on slowly as you wait for the night To see your shining star smiling down upon you The gentle gleamingness of their light Makes you light up inside and feel the glow too Then one night while searching the dark The star is gone and the night feels cold It's disappeared like a spark Into the galaxy beyond the secrets told You know it's there but in a different place A different form, a different name Yet still you hope they'll come back some day And you wait patiently as if it were a game As you look at the sky you see a dot That's even more brilliant than the sun A new star was born to fill the spot And nothing was lost, just temporally gone Hope you enjoy, Seamistress

Hello Everybody, Just like to log on one of my poems...you bubble up that inspiration in me...and once it starts there's no end...so, once more... The fairies left our love and went away I really think they wanted to stay We kept promising them that night would soon be day Alas ! We broke our promise to their deep dismay. yet so gentle and kind that their tender hearts are - they just sent me a wish on a twinkling star telling me that they were just gone for awhile and if I should need them - well all I have to do is simply smile. But I think we hurt them far too much for lately, they trembled at our lightest touch I guess the reason they've moved awat is to refresh their spirits under a sunshine day... Do you think we should call them back ? request them to heal what we now lack ? 'Cause you see our love has died Oh ! Its tragic to resurrect it we need their magic ! Or do you think we should let them be part our way eternally let them find other hearts to give for LOVE and MAGIC need each other to live ! love druid. PS : Venus...answer my prayer but do hurry !!! Pixie : Your poem is absolutely stunning... brilliant and touching... I felt exactly as you said because... of true love !!!

Shagunj, That was absolutely beautiful! So inspiring and it has some sort of hidden passion or emotion that no one else can see. A sort of secret guarded until the right time. Druid33, That too was beautiful my friend! Simply stunning. I think I see Venus popping her head in through my window reading your poem! Perhaps she has heard your plead! Keep smiling Seamistress

Hello Everybody RISE AND SHINE !!! Here's two more poem to add to our list : What sound befalss my errant ears sounds so sharp and searing ? Its only the cry of murdered fowls the hunters are a-reaping... what prodded footsteps do I hear In fear as they go marching ? Its only the hooves of the bleating goats being led for the palace feasting... what, O what are those mournful sighs coming from over yonder ? Only the cows just crying out loud astheir calves are put asunder... From whence do earthly burning smells Emit a sound of squealing ? Its only when the pigs do sense Their skins scorch from roasting... And Hark ! What rhythmic thump I hear that seldom lasts awhile ? Its only the fishes jumping aboard Their last few minutes alive... Must tortuous sounds made such as these Bewitch the human auricle ? Could not these gentle creatures pray For some glorious miracle ? Will their pitieous cries not stir our souls must they in bondage ever be ? Will not a Saviour step out forth and set these creatures free ? Humans, take heed of the voice within And let these gentle creatures be That soon we may, as kindred souls, Live for Eternity. love and peace druid

Today I wish to focus on the "MOON-IN-TAURUS" What of Moon-in-Taurus only emotions so stable and serious and sensual. Do you know why they hardly every cry (on the outside) It is because they are patient and tolerant and they wait however late for things to happen... Their emotions are powerful and deep do not judge them by their look so meek this is the wolf in sheep's clothing the wild bull in a china shop who rushes headlong in rage destroying everything within the range of its gauge this is Taurus emotion when aroused to its fullest don't push it ! But they are steady and dependable so lovable and huggable You can't but give in to their sensual Taurean whim at any given hour of the day they must have their way come what may... They need your touch oh ! so very much and they'll return your love double-fold sometimes more that you can ever hold in one lifetime. love druid.

Hello my fellow loving souls! I am not a poet but I thought that I would share a short story I wrote which is on my web site. With your permission I will start. As I travel deep within my soul, I begin by trying to understand the cosmic symbolism's and countless meanings bestowed upon me by my higher wisdom. Guiding me ever so gently through waves of endless emotions, it teaches and embraces my soul with an infinitum of hope and desire. When I feel less than the feeling of happiness or joy, a familiar yet distant voice speaks to me. With the softness of a whisper like the wings of a dove, the spirit caries me to the greater heights of wonder and ecstasy. Lighting my way towards boundless love and light, I begin to realize that I am not alone. Still, I resist and thus, I remain entrenched by my own illusive turmoil. Fragmented and crippled as I may believe, I remain in the hands of injustice who have taught me less than who I am. To no avail of such hindrance, I am still a warrior. Battling the bleakness of my inner world, I would surrender to no other than the God of light. For it is with he in which I emerge victoriously from many of life's battles. Within the spiritual realms of the universe, there remains an understanding of the ebbs and flows of life. Like the oceanic body of emotional tides pushing and pulling, weaving and intertwining the very fabrics of my being, it allows me to develop a lightness of spirit which gently caries me to my final destiny. I preserve the notion that strength and power lives within me and is to be shared among the many who have diverted themselves from such understanding. As I travel through the shadows of the unknown, I carry with me a pillar of strength, courage, and fortitude. I imagine to have no bounds in all that I may face in the valleys below. I surrender to an existence much greater than I could possibly imagine. And as I carry all of my hopes and wishes to such an existence of great magnitude, I shall find peace and tranquility in all its magnificence. For I know that love is everlasting, and so, I share my love selflessly to all. Thank you for allowing me to share my writing with you. God Bless!

Wisesoul-33 - that was simply divine...drenched in emotions...it was an ambrosial experience...wow !!! got any more ? Well, the budding poets corner has been too long left unopened...so I resurrect this forum once more... How do you pretend a coldness you don't feel How do you pretend your love isn't real How do you shake hands when you want to kiss How do you pretend you don't need that bliss? How do you listen to words that scar your heart How do you shrug carelessly while you're being torn apart How do you walk away when you know this love is true How do you really live when there is only half of you ? How do you stop the tears that scald your tortured soul How do you stay calm when you're out of control How do you live each minute when he/she's not there How do you turn away when you really care ? How do you accept fate that can be changed How do you let him/her know that life can be "re-arranged" How do you still the voice that pleads to try How do you speak while you still cry ? How do you learn karmic lessons when you hurt so much How do you love another when you long for his/her touch How do you heal a heart that's broken beyond repair How do you accept a load when its hard to bear ? How do you smile complacently when others sneer How do you walk with courage when you're filled with fear How do you wait in hope that he/she'll come by How do you know he/she'll realise LOVE before you die ? love druid [This message has been edited by druid33 (edited 04-18-99).]

Wisesoul, That was positively breathtaking, and reviving, no that's not the word I'm looking for. It was reliving! What do you mean you're not a poet? With that kind of writing you could write a whole book of poetry! I loved it. Druid, That was so beautiful. You never fail to impress me! I'm glad you resurrected this thread, I missed it! Any more poems? Seamistress

Hello wonderful people, I have another one just for you guys... On your marks, get set and GOOOOOOOO ! The Revelation Said a spirit to God, "Oh, grant me dear Lord To be what I would wish for in this life and judge me fair my plea, as I wait on bended knee aware that you have understood my strife. I would wish to be the Sun, for I could shine on Everyone and warm their cold and dreary hearts each day Or, I would wish to be the Moon, quite the opposite of Noon Casting silvery beams along one's trodden way. Oh, how I'd wish to be a Star, shining forth from near or far fulfilling eager wishes by the score Or I could be a lake, washing people wide awake Flowing gently down to join a distant shore. What if I could be a Flower, spreading perfumes by the hour and greeting people as they pass me by Or can I wish to be a Tree spreading natural shade for free where people rest and soothe a tired eye What if I could be a Bird, chirping songs one never heard Happy music for the lonely and the old Or could I be a breeze, changing as and when I please Once from warm to hot and then to cool and cold ? And I would love to be a Fire, blazing brightly with desire making young hearts sense their feelings all aglow Yes, I'd wish to be anything but a poor human being all wrapped up in his misery and woe ! "Now wait a minute" said God "and do not think me odd When I reveal a secret that is true No matter what's been said, in all the books you've read I was once a wistful human such as you !" So stand up, don't be sad, in fact you should feel glad That you too can possess all magic power Go forth and be brave and stop acting like a slave and be the God you, deep down, really are !!! So much for wishful thinking ! hey guys... where are your contributions...let's have some music on this thread... love druid

Druid that was soooo beautiful. You are really a true poet! Okay, I can't leave that lovely energy lonely on this thread, so here's one of my whirlwinds for you --------------- The Circle-Song Singer Come listen my friends, I want you to hear About a circle-song singer who was singing in my ear, With his near-beer spilled and his pill-box filled With exotic pot that would bring you right here. It was clear, thought I, That his circle song sigh Was a cry of delight And a fanciful flight From the hardcore bore of the forty-four That was staring him straight in the eye. Now you might well wonder Why the gun was there, But it was in his mind, And I didn't much care, I was aware, you see, Of his fantasy, It was the start of the circle He was singing to me! Well, the circle song singer Sang a simple circle-song, Like a yin-yang boomerang, Rebound around town, Up-down, square-round, Wake-sleep, shallow-deep, Man, it was a song to behold! Old-timers died, new babies cried, Soft summer nights sprinkled starry lights On the heavenly screen of the TV dream Of the great soap opera in the sky, Why, I could feel the eternal wheel, In its slow motion, beneath the commotion Of puppy-love dreams and the rat-trap schemes Of millionnaires in their tiger lairs, Where love's unknown and death's in the air. Well, he sang of love, and he sang of pain, Of scorpion nights and the monsoon rain- Drenched grain seeds sprouting up to feed the life That loves like the sun and cuts like a knife, Then dies again and sinks to the Earth To grow new grain, and bring new birth. And I felt as if I were a part of it all, Of the rise and fall, and the cycle of death And life, and love, and the cosmic breath That blows into each brand-new form The winds of change, And the heavenly storm That chases its tail And playfully sails Off into the sunset with minnows and whales. So lost in joy was I that when He finished, and I looked round again, The circle-song singer had up and gone, With his gun and guitar, and his circle song. Well, circle-song singers are a dying breed, And I guess he'll be sent out somewhere to feed, In the cool green pasteurized disguise Of the lies our lives lead, bound in ties, But love's circle-spirit, I've heard it said, Stays with you from birth 'til the day you are dead, And I would not be in the least surprised, If one dark night, with tears in my eyes, I should wake from a nightmare dream to find, The circle-song singer singing in my mind.

Well I guess everyone is down with the Columbine Tragedy and the Timor one...this is a kind of verse I wrote some years back when I was filled with anger at the apparent hypocrisy of society and their "un" realisation to any kind of truth... They said I was insane just because I laughed to myself and threw a few pebbles at their window panes in my grown-up garments... they wanted me out of the way these so-called "normal" people because they were scared because they felt I was a nuisance and a menace to society and, at times, they laughed at me Their children called me peculiar names and tied rusty cans to my coat tail crying in excitement to see me dragging those noisy cans with me and I laughed with them for I loved the little ones and I danced and sang and shouted aloud till my brain felt numb and I dropped at the feet of jeering faces before a last look at the tears in my mother's eyes... so, I'm in prison - I call it a hospital - they call it garbed in starched hard-white garments just like those doctors with their ruthless attendents the only difference I have no name only a number a place where I can't complain for they'll think I make excuses Now and then I submit to their pitiless authority for refusing to do what they say while their country preaches Democracy rhymes well with mockery...I giggle Freedom to speak and think and do what one feels without being a menace to society Yes...a story of hypocrisy a treacherous guise for truth for I have seen with mine own eyes bloodshed, warfare, hatred, cruelty among these so-called "sane" ones whether political, religious or personal where they enjoy cutting and slicing one another as they once did way back in a science class when they dissected a frog. I see them all, these hypocrital people divided into groups the collegiates who are want to ape these psuedo grown-ups running around like wild beasts leashing their fury, venting their hate burning their books in the blessed name of Freedom misusing the feminine sex in an urge to prove their manhood such pathetic creatures deformed even before they grow ! I see these people categorised in groups each with their own leader and their own sermons of peace and a better living while they mercilessly persecute and deride their "competitors" and riotise their city and I think of my schooldays when we were divided into "houses" or "teams" in the spirit of true sportsmanship to better our own school, our pride to help us individually achieve higher standards but in this deadly game, I see the name of POWER moulded in letters of blood the blood of the humans... I see them, these mephistophlean inventors who bubble mysterious liquids and effervescent gases like accomplished warlocks who piece together bits of metal as would a child with toy bricks and cackle hysteriously at their gory success when they are showered with awards and publicity for blowing to bits all forms of life all in the name of "Science" for protection - they call it and I laugh in terror for the innocents... In my little world I live alone barricaded from reaching out to them fighting to quell those juvenile urges that prevent me from being understood making me a walking-talking robot with a faulty mechanism which they cannot repair. So where does justice really sit most surely not among those pannelled judges who balance the scales as when one tosses a dice in a hope to win while they watch with bated breath to see who is the winner leaving it to chance... And I wait, day after day, in my den, locked up... serving my sentence by your twisted judgement for freedom while you continue to worship those demons who kill, murder, plunder, terrorise and hate with frenzied rites... self-destruction - I call it and I wonder... WHY AM I HERE ?!!! Whew had to get the steam off...these massacres just stir up old, boiling passions... Love and Light fill me with your violet flame...that I may forgive and forgive...70 times 7...to go to heaven !!! Peace to all druid

Hello Everyone!!! Well as I said, I'm not a poet but I would like to share another one of my writtings with you if I may. ~*~*~*~WHISPERING WINDS~*~*~*~ Deep into the night, I sat and pondered beneath the glittering moonlight and begun to imagine my world of days gone by. I remembered the laughter as well as the sadness which swept my heart and created my longing for love. I imagined a world without love and was embellished by sadness. My cheeks were with wetness from gentle tears strolling their way down to my chin. I had been stricken with grief. I gazed into the midnight sky and focused on the richness and depth of such a vast universal sky. A star shimmering in the sky appeared to have heard my deepest thoughts and begun to dance a splendid array of colors for me to see. Blessed be "I thought to my self" had I surely been heard? Suddenly but gracefully, a gentle whispering wind had begun to blow but like no other I've experienced. It penetrated the deepest part of my heart, my very soul had been touched. I was embraced by God. In my minds eye, I was receiving visions of all the good and bad that I had done. There was no judgement bestowed upon me for I was siting on a thrown in judgement of myself. I was shown the effects in heaven of my smallest acts of kindness to others. I could see angels shining brightly and dancing in the distance. I then realized that these acts had been long forgotten and had been taken for granted. Without delay, a spirit had shown me how much I had touched the hearts of souls with my kindness and love no matter how small I may have thought. I was in astonishment of this great insight. The midnight sky once again begun to appear as it was and I sat for a moment longer. I understood more of the meaning of life and of love then I ever have. I then raised myself up in joy and thanked this night to the whispering winds. ~*~*~*~*~*~The End~*~*~*~*~*~ A fellow ARIES [This message has been edited by WISESOUL-33 (edited 04-21-99).]

What beautiful sentiments abound in this House... I want to thank you all for sharing your precious gems of poesie and also for helping me to remember a story I wrote--not so long ago--for a collection of fairy tales inspired by beautiful, forgotten women. One such woman is Kalyb--the muse of St. George, the latter whose "day" is April 23rd--coming right up--so perhaps even more fitting I tell this anecdote. George loved Kalyb with an intense passion but he was proud and would not confess his adoration, so the Lady of the Wood decided to teach her Knight a lesson. One day she went away from the Black Tower they shared, without word or trace and, in vain, George searched the English countryside for the other half of his heart. When the Mistress of Coventry was deemed lost to the Glade of Bran, the future Saint returned to an empty home and was shocked to find a horrible dragon threatening Kalyb's castle. Trained in the art of chivalry, George drove the monster into the Tower keep, locking the grate and returning to his Quest for his Mistress. George rode away, leaving his prize to contemplate its doom. Removing chain mail, armour and serpentine helmet, the Gorgon, sweet Kalyb, took up prisoner's pen and paper, writing this poem for future generations: "One day will the Legend of George be avenged, For a poet to Queen will rise up among men. He will write of this battle, He will record my fair name And the soul of his Mistress my spirit will flame; You will know that I live in her beautiful frame, For her hair will be scarlet and Gloriana her name: Yet the sign that will blaze as a comet of Light, By which you will know me and pledge her due fright, Is the Snake that coils up the length of her sleeve~ Kneel down, kiss her hem and Kalyb you please." The Kalyb, Great Lady of the Woods, laughed a low, fearful laugh and gazed into the scrying mirror her otherworldly subjects produced. And that's Miss Olivia's St. George Poem. I want all you Knights, in particular, to remember the story of Kalyb this Friday and be especially nice to your damsels, ça va? @~~~>~~~> PS: Guess the Poet and the Queen and Miss Olivia will send the first correct answer a bottle of Champers~~Here's to England and St. George!

Speaking of light years ... that's how long it's taking this thread to load on slower machines, because it's soooo loooong now! I am going to start a new thread called "Budding Poets II" so we can continue this lovely lyrical thread without scrolling forever. Onward and upward!
