Skylah,

With regards to your attitude number of "8". I have found more often than not, that our numbers do not always reflect what we "think" that we truly seek in life and it may take time before we are able to really "see" what it is that we have been gifted with, so to speak. The "8" is an attitude number for you, not your life's fulfillment...that would be the lifepath of 6. For an example, I have a lifepath number of "3". I pretty much follow the vibration, with communication and laughter being a big part of my life...yet, my true calling has always been to become a part of the music industry. I have not followed through with it and although I do feel that I am quite content with where I happen to be in my life, the "urge" and drive is always lingering in the recesses of my mind. Stage fright has always held me back.

The different numbers all combine to create the unique individual that is "you". Just like in astrology. You have a sun sign, a moon sign and a rising sign. They may not always be compatible. Then you need to take into account the different placements of the other planets and which sign and house they all reside in. Numerology works pretty much in the same way.

You have a lifepath of "6" and a birthday number of "9". These two numbers are compatible and that is important as these numbers are with you for life...they will never be altered as with a name change.

Recap:
Lifepath number: the number you must fulfill in order to be truly happy in this lifetime.
Birthday number: the day that you were born, and how you "appear" to others. It is their first impression of you.

Power Name number: since the universe gives us our birthday and our parents give us our name, it can sometimes be in sharp contrast to the lifepath number. When this happens, my advice would be to add a letter to your name, alter it in some way...it just makes your life that much easier. But your power name number is the same as your lifepath...so relax, you are in sync!

The Soul number: what you "feel" inside. Not necessarily perceived by others.

The Personality number: this is your outer self, how people do perceive you. What you show to the world.

The Attitude number: how you communicate with others. Your attitude number of "8" says that you communicate a need for power, meaning that you may really want control and to make a difference. They can tend to get caught up in their dreams and goals and forget to give the people in their life their personal attention. As far as thinking that you must possess a "corporate" or serious business attitude, the "8" has been blessed with "executive abilities". They are efficient people. Jobs that deal with money are usually right up their alley. They are gifted with natural leadership and talent for management in all areas of life but especially in business and financial affairs. They are just naturally attracted to positions of influence and leadership. 8's also have a good judge of character and this can be very important in the business world.
You probably get your ambition to create and run your own company from your lifepath number of "6". 6's feel the need to manage or own their own company. In my opinion, with a lifepath of 6 and an attitude of 8, you have a strong potential to be quite a success. And it doesn't necessarily have to become "corporate" in nature. Just remember, the main lesson for the "8" is that they are here to master money.

Another way of looking at the conflicts that can arise with numbers is again, as with astrology, you have numbers that are more extrovert in nature and numbers that lean towards being introverted.
This is how I perceive the distinction:
4 and 7 tend to be loners
1, 3, 6 and 9 are people persons and extroverted in nature
2 and 8 can go either way.

I hope that I have been able to ease your mind a bit and help you to grasp how to understand the numbers and how they color our lives.

Love and light,
Karen

YEs Karen, Thank You. i totally understand now. i guess we have double numbers that tell similar things. like personality and birth number (how we appear to others). the attitude number is like the ascendent, it tells you what want to become or achieve. whereas the lifepath is where you are at right now (sun sign). if i could remember correctly.

at first i couldn't see how 6 and 8 are compatible. now i see, 6's like to run things, whereas 8's are executives. they seem kind of opposites at first. WELL, THANK YOU! that really helped. don't worry, i'm not worrying that much..

Love,
Skylah

Hi Karen,
I've just read all about the "intensity" number and I'm assuming that I "intensify" to the number 5 because my SOUL,POWER and LIFEPATH are all 5, I have two 1's and one 9, so I guess I'm just that fun lovin' gal you talk about......and yes I do get myself into trouble sometimes.....but I've managed to learn to take one step at a time with humor, so as not to offend And oh! what an interesting first liner......that's my secret (scorpio put that tail down)
I'm the sort that likes to get comfortable with my friends to start with, then I let it go!!! I'm kinda shy first!!!!!!!!!! Hee Hee!!

Anyway, once again you have excelled at being a teacher, and I offer you a big rosy apple for your lessons.....or do they offer better things these days!!!!
Here's hoping you had a wonderful weekend and have rested just a little, as we don't want you unwell again

Love and Roses,
Kelly-Anne

Yes, Kelly-Anne, they offer the "orange" instead of the apple...

ever after what eve did to adam with that apple...people figure its not a good idea to offer the apple...the other instantly turns "pale"

smile...

Skylah,
Hoorah! You've got it! I'm pleased that you have a better understanding and please do not hesitate if you have any other questions..

Kelly-Anne,
You are so delightful!!
Yes, I have found more often than not, that most 5's, especially if they have an intensity of 5's, will agree with that "one-liner" quite gregariously and so I felt that I should include it in that brief
(by the way, I do owe you an email, I haven't forgotten )

I am moved beyond words at the warm display I have received and I thank one and all from the bottom of my heart!

love and light,
Karen

Karen, I'm still not totally clear on the Intensity number ... or more specifically if there IS a single intensity number. In the example you gave using Carlo's numbers, "9" had the greatest frequency, but "3" and "1" also appeared more than once, and you seemed to be saying that they also added intensity. I guess what I'm asking is: is there a single Intensity number for each name, or is it the case that multiple occurrences of any number intensify that number's influence?

Hi Gregory,
To answer your question...
When I am working with intensity numbers, I try to use my intuition in determining whether or not a number that shows up more than once does indeed exert more of an influence. If I am working with numbers of an individual with whom I am quite familiar, I would try to look at all numbers repeated more than once.
In the case of Carlo, having two 3's does indeed have an influence and we can see that it has a hand in coloring his unique communication style as well as his superb writing skills and inherent gift of humor.
His double 1 intensity also shines through in his independent and competitive demeanor. I have found more often than not, that having more than one "1" greatly increases the tenacity in those individuals and will greatly increase their chances for success. The "1" is a success driven number.

I hope to post a section on "missing" numbers as well as the positive/negative qualities of the numbers sometime in the coming week. The addition of these two threads will greatly enhance the understanding of intensity numbers.

I hope that answers your question

Love and light,
Karen

Dear Karen,

Does this system have any meanings for compound numbers...10 and up...?

Love,

Carlo

Hope you don't mind my moving your post here from the "Characteristics of the numbers 1-9" thread where you posted it, Carlo. Somehow that reference thread got unlocked when it shouldn't have been!

Hi Carlo,

The Pythagorean method reduces all but master numbers to arrive at a single digit number.
There are some who say that the double digit numbers that are not considered "master" numbers are double vibrations of that particular number. I generally use my intuition in determining those types of variations on an individual basis.

Love,
Karen
