Rainbow, you asked about my yurt over on the Cosmic Weather Report. We actually did live in the yurt for a while, but when we moved to our log cabin homestead in the mountains a couple of years ago I dismantled the yurt and moved it up the hill from the cabin -- it's now my home "office," and is actually where this website is located!

The yurt is a WONDERFUL structure, of Mongolian origin. Mine is 24' in diameter, with a steeply pitched wood-beamed roof and a circular skylight, so it feels very cathedral-like inside -- a very meditative workspace. It's extremely practical, too (I AM a Virgo Sun!), standing up beautifully to high winds and heavy snow loads, and well enough insulated that a crackling fire in its small woodstove keeps it toasty warm in the deep of winter. Conversely, opening the windows and skylight sets up a natural convection airflow that keeps it cool and breezy in the summer. I love it!

Greg.....WOW!....looks so cozy....both the cabin and the yurt, and I can well imagine the yurt is a medatative spot, the way you describe the interior...and it was so cool to see where the website is...in fact, the whole setting there looks like it would be real easy to be in touch with your higher sELFS....remote, far from the madding crowd.....could you tell me what direction the yurt is from the cabin (I always like to know these things) then I can visualise it as it really is...well, you know what I mean..

Native Americans (as you probably know) believe the circle is sacred, and you are in your own sacred circle in the yurt.

Thanks for sharing Gregory...oh another thing - would you mind telling me what your take is on the y2k thing? Looks like you guys have the perfect spot if all goes haywire (sounds like I'm being negative, but My Capricorn Sun, Mercury and Jupiter, makes me cautious, and not one to take chances)...I started to make plans to move to a remote spot too. It was beautiful, right on a lake with a fantastic view, birds chirping, little animals running around, and no sounds of traffic. I did start to stockpile things, but (gotta blame it on somebody) - good old Uranus (transiting my fourth house and squaring my Mars in Scorpio) brought some "unexpectedness" into my life, so now I guess I'll just expect the unexpected....Oh well, I've learned to go with the flow, so to speak....makes it easier......

Helllllloooooooooo (echo) Anybody here?

Looks like no one's hanging out here anymore. And this is such a 'comfy' place....

Well if I remember, this is a room where we can talk about anything, so I'm going to talk about anything.

First of all, when this site was down, I felt "lost" cuz I had come to know and love some of the people who hang out here. And I was very very excited when our dedicated Virgo, Gregory worked and worked and worked to get it back up again...

And then I was gone for two days, and now I'm working with a new computer....no, it's not mine, but my son's girlfriend's. It's brand new and is going to spoil me when I have to go back to my "antique." I can't believe how FAST all the stuff comes in....

I wish I knew Barney's Sun sign...Barney is our cat. He is over l0 years old and such an lovable creature....he's big with gray fluffy fur...

Well, guess I'll depart from the store....looks like Daisy Ellen has not even been here for awhile....

So I'm at sea a lot, but when I do get my land legs, I try and go up, up, up, and then old Saturn knocks me back a peg or two, so I head for sea again....to deeply ponder in the sub, and dream in the ghost ship....
