Hi Seamistress!

Yes, he is wicked cool Seamistress, decent in A Life Less Ordinary (that movie is still not as funny as the Opposite of Sex or Buffalo 66, though!)...although in my eyes the kid'll always look like a heroin junkie...after Trainspotting, that is...he was wicked believable in that, huh, kind of like Courtney Love in The People vs. Larry Flynt, ya know? I am sure he'll break out of that druggie typecast though...in E-1.

I read an interview with him where one day on the set of Star Wars, some men in suits came up to him and one was carrying a thick metallic briefcase. He was unsure what it was about, and they asked him to follow them into a private room. They closed the door, opened the case, and it contained three light sabres. They asked him to choose his weapon. In the interview, I think it was in Premiere, he said that he chose the one that most resembled his...his...yeah, you got it! I just thought that was hysterical...and why wouldn't he do that LOL!?! So, if that's true, you'll know even more about him once you see the movie.

I have a friend who works for Hoyts, she sent me ten free passes to Episode One...rock! The fun part will be standing in line! I may bring a friend, although I saw the first Star Wars in the theater three times in the first week. I have this idea that I'll take a few days off from work, and just go to matinees all day. It is just so amazing how those movies have been popular with so many people worldwide. You watch, after the first w/e that it's open, the papers will read "Star Wars sinks Titanic in opening weekend,"...it is going to break so many records.

Another odd thing that most people don't know is about George Lucas. Does anyone know why it took him almost exactly 15 years to crank up the Star Wars machine again? By now, most people know that it was that amount of time where you really didn't see much happen, even the re-release of the trilogy...know why? Divorce laws. Lucas got divorced around the time of Jedi, and the judge ordered that all monies that he would make of merchandising, rentals, etc...half would go to his wife. Now, that was a lot of dough...so it all ceased, and he waited out the court order. And you go, George! It was worth the wait...now, three generations are becoming "hooked"...perhaps that's where Ewan comes in...his work as a junkie in Trainspotting may make him the best "pusher" of the new movie! Either way...I'm there!

Um, does anyone have Uma's birthdata? I know she is a Taurus Sun...I would love to take a look...Christina Ricci's too, although I think she is a Pisces...anyone?

Blessings,

Carlo

Carlo,
I've just checked my database of names and haven't got Uma or Christina....sorry

Loved all the stuff about Star Wars and George, I watched parts of an interview a couple of weeks ago, quite an intriguing man.......what I loved most was the fact that he has adopted several children and obviously adores them, as he said they are the most important thing in his life...... pretty cool huh!
I am on tender hooks about the movie.....can't wait for it to come out .....not long now, Seamistress is counting down aswell.

Is there any other star I can look up for anyone, no promises but I'll try.

Love and Laughter,
Kelly-Anne

Hey Carlo,
Didn't you just love A Life Less Ordinary?! He's just such a great actor, anyone have his chart? I know he's an Aries. Oh by the way I found out that Uma Karuna Thurman was born on April 29 1970 in Boston Massachussets but I don't know the actual time. Did you know she was named after a Hindu goddess? Cool huh.
I love that story about Ewan and the light sabre. Very . . . um . . amusing! How lucky are you! You get to see Episode 1 free!! You'll also be happy to know that Lucas is now working on 2 and 3 of the series and he hopes to make a 7 and 8 before he dies! So we can all look forward to more tales in a galaxy far, far away . . no I won't start! This is addressed to anyone, who is your favourite character? Mine is Darth Vader!! I think that you simply cannot find better characters than him! He's just a wonderful example of how good can triumph over evil and you it's never too late. Even the first time I saw Star Wars he was my favourite. When I heard about it I thought that he was already a good guy and I was so shocked that I had such high hopes for him! Well it was worth it, although I don't know how that little cutie in Episode 1 resembles him!
Hope to hear more Star Wars news!
Love Seamistress

Seamistress,
It has to be Harrison Ford's character.....not only because I love Harrison but also because the character he plays initially is rather selfish and only out for what he can get.....namely MONEY!!! Then he realises that there is more to life than that.....for example LOVE, Princess Layla.....and I have to say, she is a great image of the woman.....she's strong in will and mind, a leader, forthright and a little arrogant, not so easily swayed but the male
Anyway, back to H.....he also realises that working together for the betterment of the GOOD and destroying the EVIL is a worthwhile vocation. He was enlightened, so he became unselfish and hence a better person....!!!

I am so excited about the follow ups and I have to say.....Carlo, that was really interesting about George and his wife's settlement....huh, I bet she's not happy right now!!

Love and Laughter,
Kelly-Anne

Good day all.

I just wanted to know, could we discuss some celebrity authors on this thread?I mean, there are so many applauded writers today and there are some brilliant old ones who have dissapeared utterly. For example,in some thread i had mentioned whether anyone knew anout Lbsang Rampa and what happened to him and his spiritual mission?he is not heard of now?And take other authors like Jess stearn,i would so like to know more about him,is he alive or not?i wonder. There is Edgar cayce,Ruth montgomery, james redfeild.so many..

Anyone willing to discuss or can provide some information on the above authors or any others for that matter?

Hi Feeling

How are you? I believe that Lopsang Rampa has passed from this realm. As far as I know, Jess Stearn has not. Have you read any of his or Edgar Cayce's books?

Could you please tell me, how do you make those adorable smiley faces?

Sorry, I am a computer dum-dum...

Much Love

Hello Essense.

Thanks so much for that information.I am really shocked to know Lobsang Rampa has passed on!

Yes,i have jess stearns books as well as Edgar Cayce. In fact Jess stearn has written about Edgar cayce too.I remember having read a book of Jess stearns...it was about Taylor Caldwells past lives and one on Partners in time about Edgar Cayce and his wife.As for edgar cayce readings, there are SO many!Tell me Essense, have you read any of these books from these authors?

A smiley dear?its simple actually....when you post a message in the little box that comes up,to get a smile do the following.

Type ':'-dont type the commas, just :
After which ,beside the :,type a ')'-Again leave out the commas just type )

The text in your box will not show you a smiley when type these two characters. Its only after you post the message with these typed vharacters, does it show up on the screen.So...try it!

Dear Kelly-Anne,
I am soooooooooo sorry I didn't reply for so long. I didn't even see your post! Anyway when you said that about Han Solo I just realised that him and Darth Vader are so alike. They're both in it for selfish reasons and finally find the light! I gotta agree with you, Harrison Ford is pretty lovable !
I'm glad that Lucas put in at least one woman in there. The lack of females is slightly irritating but Princess Leia just makes up for it!
Keep posting.
Lots of Love

Seamistress,
How many days to go??????....... NOT MANY NOW!!!! I'm feeling that force baby!!
The new characters look awesome.....but i have to say what a hype.....but I'm in the water being washed down stream by all this excitement and build-up........
I had to laugh, there have been sneek previews for the critics and alot of them are not rating it very much, saying it's a movie about somethng and nothing, with little depth.......George Lucas replied, that's OK, they didn't like my other ones either, and they've talked for themselves!!! Very funny........nobody can argue with the figures on those movies.....!!!!!

Carlo, I'm just going to check to see if I've got Dana's chart, very sad and even sadder that she left a child and fiancee behind, I watched Entertainment Tonight that had an interview with her a short while ago when she asked everyone not to forget her because she would be back to Hollywood and back in the public eye......but are they saying it's an accident or not? I got both impressions from various reports I listened to.
Anyway, hopefully she's alot happier now, she did have such a troubled life, by the sound of it.

Love and Laughter,
Kelly-Anne

Dear Kelly-Anne,
It comes out here on June 3rd so there's still 21 days till I see it but you get to see it earlier. I am sooooo jealous!
Anyway I heard about those three critics and first of all Lucas told everyone that he didn't want any reviews for it yet and they were NOT to go and review the movie by that session! Well apparently they did it just to get him aggravated and he really didn't care but I heard an Australian reporter who was allowed to see the session say that it was absolutely above brilliant! I think I'll side with her most likely
Cannot wait till it opens! There's a special for it on this Saturday so I think I might watch that!

I believe we are on countdown 6 days to go......and then we have the queues.....upon queues.......prebooking, forget it!!!!!
12.01am is the first showing, on the 19th yipeeeee!!!
What do you think of the new characters Seamistress, interesting costumes?????????

Did anyone see the Mummy? Was it any good? I was thinking of seeing it. Anyone know Brendon Fraser's sign? I think he is a Fire sign, that would be my guess.

Carlo,
You just have to go and see the Mummy....I went last weekend and was blown away by it.
It affected me a great deal, I have a real fear of being buried alive, to the extent that I have nighmares about it.....anyway, at the beginning of the movie it takes you back to the times in Eygpt where the pyramids were just finished and the temples stood tall, which in itself is quite breaktaking without giving away the plot or the story, someone gets buried alive, well much worse actually, and I started to feel claustrophobic, the movie theatre was closing in on me and I suddenly felt so aware of my fear......as though it was created in that time......I was experiencing the pain and the fear the priest in the film was.......I can't explain it but I know I felt really strange and AWARE!!
It took me about 15 minutes to calm down and relax enough to watch the movie......explain that one but the rest of it was interesting, funny, action packed and the special effects were awesome. It had a fair bit of reference to Gods and myths etc. anyway....definitely recommend it

Love and Laughter,
Kelly-Anne

Wow, Kelly-Anne, that sounds cool. I read yesterday (The Enquirer) that Brendon Fraser has a younger brother who lives on the street, and whom Brendon will not take his calls or help him. Who knows...it does look good, though...I hope to see it this w/e...

Dana Plato was born in San Bernadino on Nov. 7, 1964, a Sun Sign Scorpio, with Neptune in Scorpio only two degrees from her Sun. So she was, to many, a living representation of Neptune in Scorpio, and that time period in which many of us mid-to-late Xers were born. Even after her Strokes days, she lived her life like this it seems.

I intend to do a study on this girl, including transits that caused her more disruption, and then the contacts that pushed her to overdose. It is going to be like a project. Every student - including students of astrology - should do projects. It will take me some time, yet I need some help. I need to find her exact birthtime, so please, if anyone can help, it would be so appreciated.

Dana was born to Linda Strain, who was 16 when she gave birth to Dana. In June 1965, Dana was adopted by Dean and Florine Plato. I will keep searching, although I have no websites, or county clerk information. Again, please, if anyone can help...the end result will be great...I just want to be exact (you know what I mean Kelly-Anne, you're a Virgo too! ).

I grew up watching Dana on TV, she was like an older sister that I never had (TV was big with me as a kid), and I took interest when troubled news of her would crop up. So I care, and this analysis will be thoughtful. I am hoping someone can help me

Blessings,

Carlo

So I'll come back to you, if i find anything more!

OK, I've been searching around on MSN and Yahoo and came up with this memorial site for her....it looked like it had quite a bit of information, unfortunately I got called away from my search so perhaps you would like to check it out.....it might be of some help. Here's the URL.....

Hope it helps, if I get a chance at home tonight, I'll continue on my Scorpio investigating.

Thanks so much, Kelly-Anne...I'll have a visit...I do appreciate your sleuthing...btw, where is the Scorp in your chart...just Neptune? That's what I have. I have had some struggles with that, like many X-ers, yet I think that Dana had it bad, with that Sun conjunction. Thanks again for your help, it means a lot

Hello Feeling,

I have just saw your post on Lobsang Rampa,..here's what I found in the "Dictionary of Mind Body and Spirit" authored by JH Brennan and Eileen Campbell, published by Aquarian Press (an imprint of HarperCollins)

Readers in the 1960s were fascinated by the publication of a book entitled "The Third Eye",written by a Tibetan lama named Tuesday lobsang Rampa and describing how,as a novice,Rampa had undergone a surgical operation during which a sliver of wood had been inserted into his skull to awaken the fabulous THIRD EYE and give him a wide range of physical and mystical powers.
The book became an international bestseller ,but was based more on the writings of BLAVATSKY than the reality of Tibet.
Lobsang Rampas real name was Cyril Hoskin and far from being a "Tibetan Monk", he was actually an Irish plumber!
Hoskins responded to the subsequent exposes by claiming that the SPIRIT of the real lobsang Rampa had now taken over his body as a part of a deal they had made and went on to publish a whole series of books under the Rampa name.
Whatever the reality of the claim, there is no doubt that Rampa had a genuine literary talent and the ability to popularize esoteric concepts so that they attracted a remarkably wide audience. Not all Tibetan experts would agree that his description of the opening of the Third Eye was particularly accurate, but overall his picture of Tibetan monastic life was evocative in the extreme.
Possibly to escape from unwelcome Press attention,Hoskin moved first to Dublin, then to Canada and in the process produced more than a dozen books on esoteric subjects."

Well I have "You Forever" and he definately needed more than a plumbers training to write so clearly about such things,He must have been one of those "sneaky Gurus"

Love
Michael

p.s. Kelly-Anne,my favourite character in STAR WARS was Han Solo,..and that was before he reformed! but that was then and this is now

Hi Olinda,

Delighted to see you here again!

and.....

YOU ARE IN LUCK!!!

"You Forever is available from Amazon.com,..on the internet,...try a search for T LOBSANG RAMPA on the site,...this should bring up all his works (you forever is sopposed to be the most helpful,..although I haven't read the others)

YOU FOREVER is published in paperback by Samuel Weiser, inc so any large bookshop,...or ANY Metaphysical bookstore should be able to order it for you,..as it is in print.

Hope that is some help,...you know when I was at the Amazon site,... I am nearly sure I saw a druid 'THERE'

If you ever decide to give rune readings,...I'll be there!

Lots of Love

Michael

p.s in relation to my post about TLR above,he certainly didn't move to Dublin from anywhere else in Ireland to escape the press,...that would be like going from Cripple Creek to L.A. to avoid the spotlight!,so I take all those stories with a grain of salt.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for all the info on TLR, I do appreciate it. Now about the Runes ? you asked for it, so here goes...... Hold a thought in your mind the whole day that asks...'what is it that I need in my life right now' and I will pick a rune for you.
Only you will understand the interpretation of it, for whatever it is that needs to be taken care of. I mostly use it to give me a sense of direction. Later you can think of specific questions. You can also get a yes or no answer if you are indecisive and many other things too.
I shall send you the interpretation tomorrow... so hold that thought....
till then,

Peace & Love

Olinda

Hi druid honey,

Thanks for believing in me, I love you for it. I know you'll be thrilled with my first rune picking. Your next and we'll see how it goes.....Happy ?

Would you do me a big favour and order 'You Forever ' for me please ? Thanks a trillion.
I have one for you at home, which I'm sure you will love - when do we meet ???

Peace & Love

Olinda

Dear Druid and Michael,
That is a great idea, I think you should start a thread on runes and tarot so you can teach the rest of us how to use them. I have one rune, it is the 'M' one meaning creativity and intelligence. I hope you do start the thread, it will be a valuable experience

Oh, by the way, this thread is about Celebrity stuff. If I am even half right, nothing in the last several posts has anything to do with the topic. Not naming names, but could the offenders pleeeease go chat on another thread? That would be nice...hope you can handle the request. I guess I just thought that you would already know this...so in no uncertain terms, please quit it.

Now, back to celebrities..

Hmm, I don't have Catherine's birth info. Maybe Kelly-Anne does ... K-A?

You know, I think we may be getting a bit carried away with this "stay on topic" campaign. I do think it's a good idea generally to stay on topic, just because there are a LOT of messages on the forum, and keeping somewhat on topic helps keep us from getting too scattered when we want to go back and follow a train of thought. On the other hand, though, this is a DISCUSSION forum, and a little bit of meandering is something that always happens when friends gather to talk. We certainly don't want this to feel like some kind of police state! If people start thinking they're going to "get in trouble" if their post isn't 100% relevant to the named topic, that's not good either.

Olinda thanks to you too.Im shall check out the edgar cayce site as soon as i can.I beleive he was a most unique person and soul. There has never been one like him.I wonder...what might his chart be like,to have had such incredible experiances?

Thanks Gregory, I wasn't really sure if I should let Michael have his answer now on this thread or wait and see what everyone decides. Let me know if I should go some place else - thanx again.

Hello Michael,

Are you ready for this ? I hope you held that thought ! because I picked a Rune for you and it is called "The Unknowable", also known as the Divine or Odin. Its the 25th Rune - no symbol on it - just Blank. This is what it says to you :-

Blank is the end, blank is the beginning. This is the Rune of total trust, and should be taken as exciting evidence of your most immediate contact with your own true Destiny which, time and again, rises like the pheonix from the ashes of what we call fate.

The appearance of this Rune can portend a death. But that death is symbolic, and may relate to any pat of your life as you are living it now. "Relinquishing control is the ultimate challenge for the Spiritual Warrior".

Here the Unknowable informs you that It is in motion in your life. In that blankness is held undiluted potential. At the same time, both pregnant and empty, this Rune comprehends the totality of being, all that is to be actualized.

Drawing this Blank Rune may bring to the surface our deepest fears: 'Will I fail?', 'Will I be abandoned ?', or 'Will it be taken away?' and yet our highest good, our truest possibilities and all our fertile dreams are held within the blankness of the Rune.

Willingness and permitting are what this Rune requires, for how can you exercise control over what is not yet in form? The Blank Rune often calls for no less an act of courage than an empty handed leap into the void. Drawing it is a direct test of faith.

The Unknowable represents the path of Karma - the sum total of your actions and their consequences, the lessons that are yours for this lifetime. And yet this rune teaches that the very debts of old karma shift and evolve as you shift and evolve. Nothing is predestined; what beckons is the creative power of the unknown.

Whenever you draw the Blank Rune, take heart: know that the work of self-change is progressing in your life. The Blank Rune contains the essence of all life's elements.

I hope it illuminates your journey of self-discovery. The next time you are ready with a question, just Focus on the issue and formulate the matter of concern clearly in your mind, and ask me to pick a rune - no one needs to know your question.

Peace & Love

Olinda

No problem, Olinda. Although actually, with all the interest in Runes maybe a new thread on Runes WOULD be a good idea -- I'm interested in learning more about the Runes myself. If you want to do this, let me know and I'll be glad to move these Rune posts to a new thread.

Back to celebrities. Sorry Carlo BTW I thought you might be interested that in the next Star Wars movie, it will be a love story between Anakin Skywalker and Luke and Leia's mother! How exciting, but wait it gets better. Guess who could be playing Anakin . . . Leonardo DiCaprio! That's very exciting, I feel sorry for him he's been getting bad publicity. Oh that reminds me, does anyone have his chart - he's a really intriguing guy! Well hope that's enough celebrity talk
Lots of Love

Dear Feeling,
Yes he is a scorp and it's really amazing because around four other planets are in the Scorpio house as well. I know he was born on November 11th 1974 but I have no idea what his ascendant sign is
