Creativity

Creativity has got to be one of the most valuable assets that any human can be fortunate enough to possess. To make something out of nothing truly is an art. It is the Way of Tao, to be all while being nothing.

Writing is a form of creativity. What starts as a blank page becomes slowly filled up with prose or poetry to create a finished text that will most certainly be of value to someone somewhere, possibly to more than one individual, and at least to the author.

The word "creativity" contains the word "create". It also contains the sentence "I create it", from which it becomes clear that creativity is personal, and this would be generally true. Consider the portrait artist who will not allow a soul to glimpse her unfinished canvas, and who has many works which she will never show or display to anyone. You cannot take that personal essence out of the word "creativity" - that "I" must remain.

The word "creativity" also contains both the words "active" and "activity". Whether it is the clickety-clack of the old typewriter, or the breathlessness one feels after a spell or good ritual, there is an understanding that motion accompanies creativity. And creating something is usually an activity. Generally, one does not create from a sedantary state. Or is this really true?

The first four letters of the word can be lexigrammed to create the word "care", implying that creativity certainly begins with care. One can create a disturbance, or a mess, yet arguably, there needs to be a level of care to do even this much.

It is interesting to note that the word "creativity" does not contain the word "creation". Yet does creativity not lead necessarily to a creation? No, because one can be creative, one can even create, yet there could still be no actual creation. Think about birth, or more accurately, the concept of miscarriage or stillbirth. While there is no creation, there was certainly creativity. Love inspires us both instinctually, as well as creatively. How can this be?

Creativity is as much a state of mind as it is an emotional state. One can feel creative through tears, or through anger, as well as through Love. Yet, is one actually being creative while crying or venting?
Creativity also contains the words "cry" and "tear", yet the latter is a homonym, and could refer to tearing up a room in an angry state, or tearing up an old letter. Both create energy. yet is it intentional? Creativity does not contain "intent", so perhaps all action is somehow a form of creation, or all action is energy and creates something, whether we can name it or not, and whether we benefit from it , or whether we incur karmic debt from it. Not a totally foreign concept among most Pagans.

Certain artists would agree that creativity is inspired primarily by a strong urge within the artist, a yearning for the creating of something special, something unique, something that only that one person can do. This desire is often abundant in the most successful artists, and so it makes perfect sense that the word "creativity" contains "crave" and "I crave it", and even "I rave it".

For many who create things, there is a repitition of action. A dollmaker may make only ten dolls a year, yet some of the work is similar. The glue used to fasten the doll parts is applied a certain way, and the stitching may be the same. Yet the dollmaker will make each doll a special creation, it will be a doll, perhaps in a certain doll family, yet it will be be unique and unlike any other doll, if the dollmaker wishes. This helps us see how logical it is that the word "creativity" contains "I vary it" and "variety".

We can "act" creative. We can simply "act", and there is a reason why "act" is a homonym. Whether we act by doing or we act on a stage, we are being creative. Is all creativity just an act? Perhaps it is how we act when we want to create, we act all creative. Or do we? Is everyone really that strange?

Creativity is then many things, yet its most obvious characteristic is that it is personal. If one person can draw, and another can dance, and another can rap, and another can type, then do we all benefit from the urge to create that is the essence of creativity? Even if we do not create anything that we can name, do we still make things with our daily actions and thoughts? Of course we do, and that is the why we must remember to think before we think and think before we act. Think about creativity, and it will give you a positive feeling that you are an inventor, of ideas, of actions, of ways of relating to others. Even without any planets in Leo, we all still have this urge and fortunately we can have it for this lifetime, so explore your creative side, the one you can control. And when you sometimes lose control, it's okay because it will just be one of your creative
off-days!

I just love these word-druids ... they really make reverse-spiral my cells ...

I made mention the last time of the "switch" of the letters ... whereby "HADES" become "SHADE" ... and I mentioned also about the 'witch" present in "switch" and the "sneaky serpent = S" (here ... this is a teaSing serpent) ... look at the word "HADES" - the underground world of "Pluto" - a place of dread ... and then the "witch" magically waves a wand and suddenly a comforting word springs from HADES ... you have SHADE ...

Incidentally the word "HADES" vibrates to 18 ... and the no. 18 vibrates to words like "JESUS" "CHRIST" "wEIRD" ... so we know that these word carried heavy karma not only on themselves but also on the people and entities ... who bore this vibration ... Therefore dear HADES has been facing deception along with the material side striving to destroy spiritualism ... so HADES with the transformation to SHADE doesn't seem such a dreadful word after all ... thanks to the witch who waved the magical wand over S, changing itS position ... angle (?) to show us another facet or truth of this word ...

I just saw in my mind's eye the EARTH-HEART switch too ! And there are so many words more ... A WITCH with a quick SWITCH changed the EARTH to HEART ... like a HEX hanging overhead ... A HEX ... When we forgot, HE/SHE were very SAD b/c the HEART became an EARTH, where the SHADE couldn't always save us from HADES ...

Still not remembering "who we are" it took more than one WITCH to pull a SWITCH, tho still not there ...

SHE/HE sent us JESUS CHRIST, now HE is ETERNAL but we still "don't remember who we are" so we're still not there yet, this Earth is not yet again a HEART, but soon
