WICCA IS NOT ANTI-MEN!

There are some males who have a misuderstanding of Wicca and other nature religions and who think that (being males) they have no place in the inner circle. This thread is to help bring Light to those myths and to reveal the truth that encompasses All things. The earth goddess is but a small part of enlightened Wiccans' philosophies--there are the elemental spirits, the thoughtform deities of other pagan religions, and even the male deities of Wicca itself (such as Puck and Pan). Wicca is a well-rounded belief system that ultimately proclaims that we are One. Just as there are unsavory elements within other religions, the matriarchal religions can have their fair share of bigotry, but that should not deter seekers from exploring the journey of the Pagan path--not even if their gender is such that it lacks the ability to bear offspring. We are One, we are equal (but different in our own glorious ways), and we are each incomplete without the other. And although we espouse the birth/death cycle of reincarnation as a core tenet belief and as a foundation of our religion, we still have Immortals among our circles who opt out of the cycle, just as Immortals span all religions and faiths. Wicca is no different in that respect. Wicca celebrates nature, life, fertility, and birth; it celebrates the power of woman, but it also recognizes the power of man (the yin and the yang) and the Union of the two polarities, despite what anyone may say to the contrary. Blessed be.

Hi Deathnomore =) i actually do not know much on wicca and paganism, except bits and pieces, but what i have heard has gone right along the same lines of thinking that i have. i tend to dabble here and there in everything, that old peter pan geminian (is that a word? hehe) flexibility. but anything that brings the two yin-yang energies together in true unconditional love i applaude. both parts are so important to the whole. not just the whole of society, of earth, of the universe, but the core of all these - the whole within us. it is so important for each gender to defend the other, to see the good in the other, to reach in and pull out the heart of what we each need. so little of that is done in the world, however it is slowly getting better, and i believe deep down in my heart that this will be truth someday. it will! its time for us to stop this illusion that we are on different sides of the battle field, and realize we have always in all-ways been on the same side, sharing the same space. anyway, that is my little spiel for the day, 'nough of my preaching now! just wanted you to K-now ~ i will always understand You Too! love, crystllyne

Hey! So, do you do illustrations, too? I bet this is a fantastic story! I can't wait to read it one day! It should be very colorful. What age range will it be for? Will it teach a moral or lesson? Am I as curious as you Twins? Am I asking too many questions?

Dear Heart, ::GIGGLING:: you are as curious as a Gemini! how marvelous! and you can NEVER ask too many questions, especially because answers only lead to more questions! hehehe i am hoping someday i can get with an artist and create colorful illustrations, i do believe that will be half the enchantment of the story. (my favorite story when i was a child was called 'crystal mountain' and the illustrations and colors were so beautiful!) well, it funny you mention age group, because i took myself by suprise when i realized i like writing in this form. then i realized, it is easy for me, because i believe in the enchantment of childrens imaginations, and when i am thinking about writing to this type of audience, i feel less limited, does that make sense? however, the children's stories i write are meant for adults as much as for childrens - in fact more so, because i believe the best children's stories are the kind that can bring back the wonder and enchantment long-lost in adults. there is definately deeper meaning in them, i write very very symbolically. i like the kind of stories that you can go back to over and over and find something else you didn't see before, and i like the kind of stories where they make you think - not just give away all the answers. there are many lessons in my stories, just depends what each individual person gets out of them. the one i am writing now w/fearies in it, i have gotten through 3 chapters so far, and it so neat, because i said a prayer-meditation to my higher self the night i got the inspiration to write it, asking my higher self that i may use whatever gifts i have been given to be a channel for truth and creativity. (because gifts are meant to be given). after i said that prayer, i turned out the lights and proceeded to sleep, then a flash came and i got up and wrote the first chapter right then...lol since then, is has seemed to come just like that, it writes itself, infact i don't even feel like im writing it at all, just that i am the dictator - and a slow one too! (hard to keep up with thoughts when they move fast) to tell you the truth, i didn't start out with any plan for a plot, and i don't even know where the story is being taken, but i find that when i re-read over what i wrote, there was definately a plan there - i was just unconsious of it. so that is the way creativity works i am finding - so i trust it. so there it be. look forward to your next post! crystllyne

Crystilyne, what about favorite movies and tv shows? I like movies with a magical element--like Groundhog Day, Mr. Destiny, The Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal, It Could Happen to You, and my favorite of all time, Michael. Of course, I do not want to leave out Disney's best! Have you ever seen Prelude to a Kiss? It is a must-see! It is one of the greatest (but least recognized) Love stories I have ever seen. I like movies that are FULL of Star Signs and Universal codes of wisdom. Some of hem are intentionally placed there, but most are subconsciously and unknowingly included for those who are ready to see. The Dark Crystal reminds me of our gender debates. If you have seen it, I K-now that you are smiling! Love ya!

uh-oh you caught me! how did you know i was smiling right then??? every time i read one of your posts i am once again amazed! you just named off quite a few of my favorite movies! i love movies with universal codes and all kinds of symbols, ooooh gets my mind racing and my inspiration jumping! two of my all time favorites are "dreams that may come" and "contact" with jodie foster - a must see! i love "micheal" and "the dark crystal"!! "the labrynth" too!!!!!!!! my god, do you read my mind? i love that word labrynth, infact the movie sparked me into thinking about titling my childrens book with that word in it. but i can't think of a good one yet. of course i can't call it labrynth, that is already taken, but its too good a word to let go yet. want to help me out? you are good with the word druids. by the way, when i started writing my childrens book, the names of the characters started pouring out of me (i love to come up with new, unusual names) and i found their #s on all of them - and every last one, with the spelling i had come up with - were extremely posotive vibrations! and i didn't even plan it that way....for example, my two main characters came to #27 (gee, imagine that!) three of them were #17 and i think a couple #24s. see you soon Dear-heart! love, me

how did you know i was smiling??? i am continually amazed when i read your posts! you named quite a few of my favorite movies!! i loved "micheal" and "the dark crystal", and i love the "labrynth"!!!!!!! do you read my mind or what??? that movie just recently sparked my mind into thinking of using that word (don't you adore that word?) as part of my title to my childrens story. however "labrynth" has already been taken, so i can't use that obviously, but it is too good a word to give up on yet. you are good with the word druids, do you have any inspirations? (i know you do! hehe) two of my absolute favorite movies are, "what dreams may come" and "contact" with jodie foster - you must see it!. i love movies with enchantment and magic and universal codes. it is so true, i will find certain movies and i will wonder, did they fully realize all the meaning in that when they created it? or were they just channels that didn't realize exactly how much truth they were manifesting? i believe you are right, that they didn't fully realize it at the time, but it was meant for those who could see it with their third eyes...i find that happens to me with my writings too, like poems. i will look back and reread some and realize i was channeling messages for myself for me to later realize when i was ready.

Hey, Sweetie! Mmmm, I'm not sure about that, but you're right, it would make sense. Candles are definitely used in Wicca. I'll have to check on that. Other people might have the answer, but no one else comes in here! We're all Wiccans! It's like what you did when you locked your keys in the car. You made MAGIC. Wicca just controls that magic and focuses it. ------------------ "Be aware of wonder." Robert Fulghum

I know, I know!! i read about wicca a little here and there, i bought a book once and read most of it, about 8-9 months ago. it is simply using the Magic that we already have within us and helping to bring it out and use it. i don't know about you, but i use candles for light whenever i can. i burn alot of candles. i find this natural source of light much more soothing and spiritual. *Nite Hon* crystllyne
