Hi Everyone, I'm very new to Astrology, but Firesong(mother) informed me that I am experiencing a "natal Saturn return" as I am approaching 30 years old on this planet - on July 2. Currently, I feel like my life is very ambiguous at best and was wondering if anyone could share their own experiences with this Saturn return. Please explain in laymen's terms. Does this last very long? Thanks!

I keep telling Puff that the first natal Saturn return is the time for maturity-----for becoming what you're going to be, but I don't think she likes that explanation, so does anyone else want to add to that?? Love Firesong

Well hello Puff and welcome to the site.... Now here it goes, I had my saturn return a few years ago and the only way I can describe it is MIND BLOWING!!!!! But it was very positive in the long run....it made me change my life completely from where I was living to who I was living with.....it showed me who was supposed to be in my life......which friends were true to me and which ones didn't really care....where my true life's path should have been going rather than aimlessly down a one way street and what issues about myself I really had to work on.....and let me tell you I have a few issues!!! Haven't we all! For me personally, it might not be the same for you, it was a very uplifting time where, I had to sit up and smell the coffee take notice of what the universe was telling me and that was only after it had given me a big kick up the ****. I wish it hadn't been quite so intense but perhaps in hindsight if I'd listened a little better and reacted to my gut a little quicker it might not have been so dramatic......but Puff the good news is all that happened was for my betterment....I love where I am, who I'm with and I have some very special friends, in which I include my family. So sit back listen to your gut.....listen to the universe and enjoy the rollercoaster ride!!!!!!!!! Love and Laughter, Kelly-Anne

Sounds just like a mom, hmm Puff? Saturn takes about 29 1/2 years to orbit the Sun completely, so it takes about that amount of time to "return" to the same sign and degree it was in when you were born. When this happens it is called your natal Saturn return. What it signifies is a time of "coming of age." It is a time for evaluating where you've been and where you want to go, and often of making major changes to accommodate new directions. Often it is the first time you begin to think about aging (when you're under 30, you're immortal, tight?) It is frequently a time for putting aside immature goals and ideas and picking up new ones forged from the experience you've had in 30 years of living. It is one of those times of life called "passages" -- like puberty, or coming of legal age and leaving home. It's the gateway into the next stage of your life. For some people it's a very rough time, because they don't WANT to see time passing and life moving on; but for many others it is a very welcome, if unsettling, time, because it is when they "hit their stride," leaving behind much of the scattered energy and confusion of earlier years and becoming more productive, more self-confident and self-aware. There's actually a pretty good article about Saturn returns on the web, if you want to check it out: http://www.astrocom.com/news/age30.htm

And you came out of it smelling like a rose, Kelly-Anne! (I wondered what that unusual odor was ...) Puff, if it's any encouragement, my own Saturn return was when I got totally disgusted with myself and decided to stop spinning my wheels jumping from one dead-end job to another, and find some way to make a living doing what I loved -- writing. And I did! And I haven't looked back since.

Hi Everybody, was reading the reviews of the Natal Saturn Return especially the "agree to disagree" part. I'd like to share a little something based on the lexigramming and the numerological vibration of "SATURN" - he sure has something to say too - apart from the knowledgeable information that all you possess when you argued the point back and forth (I am truly impressed !) Gosh, makes me realise if I don't catch up soon enough, I'll have lifetimes to understand the conjuncts and the trines and the squares and the orbs and the degrees, etc. etc...sometimes it seems like computer language...wow ! impressive ! So I thought amidst these astrological facts, lets try a little lexigramming and numerology with Saturn... "You sit so mysteriously up there your chilly silence gives everyone a scare or should I say quite a TURN you come across like mysterious relics bottled in some kind of URN whatever your mysterious gear people always seem to fear U really drive everyone NUTS U know that ? NUTS ! It must take iron guts to keep generation after generation on the RUN and each time someone has had their fun U R there to remind them - its over and done and the way you go showing this Boy ! U you sure can STUN yes, just about anyone be it a Cancer or Virgo Libra or Leo those who didn't know U blindly RAN but to digress - I wonder why they call U old man - 'cos with all your remonstrations when someone can't U come across as a spinsterish old AUNT ! No wonder so many debate U they RANT for and against U Nevertheless U still remain set as if you'd rather forget... Could it just be that U are proud of us U twinkly-eyed, crinkly-smiled stern old soul with your iron-clad goal to lead US earthlings to a distant shore of eternal magic and spiritual folklore U "STUN-US-all-drive-US-NUTS" wise STAR disciplining everyone on their long journey through the darkness to reach the SUN could this be ? well, let me see... Oh, Yes ! its true ! Numerology vouches for U 21 - "THE CROWN OF THE MAGI" the smile after a long cry A number of "karmic reward" well, what do you know - Good God !!! "much soul-testing" "victory after a long struggle" yet "a most fortunate vibration" Oh, SATURN, what a marvellous elation I feel within me understanding better your chains that will eventually set me free but... the pain, the pain - must that be ? tests are sincerely not my cup of tea! However, if U insist I prefer to have no choice though you'll hear my voice of disapproval Free will, SATURN, my own free will No hard feelings (I hope) just don't be harsh with your dealings 'cos we humans can sometimes miss your rewards of pure bliss (at the end of it all, of course) and forget who U R treat U like another ordinary STAR In TURN, STUN U before your work is done of leading each one into the SUN.... And U know how U hate a job left half-done Your discipline and ego just won't tolerate that one...right ? "QUITE" PS : your Cappy still loves you.

Wow - I want to thank everyone who responded to this post. I'm really not looking forward to turning 30, but I suppose that I will hang on, and hope that my 30s are better than my 20s. Thanks Firesong - you're a beautiful person and mother. Believe it or not, I actually do listen to you most of the time...ha-ha Love, Puff

That was phat, druid, and good thing you ingratiated yourself at the end! Actually, great timing...I made some peace with the Old Boy a few hours ago. I figure the least I can do is be happy with the Sun trine, ya know? It's at about 4 degrees, my Sun, as is the Guy on the Bull right now, so the trine is, like, oh, this second... You talent for lexigramsis abounding in great leaps, and I mean that. Really, brava, that was great. Du u just th-ink these up?
