Dear Knowflakes,

I may have fallen in love with Linda's poetry before I even opened the pages of GOOBERZ. I simply KNEW that Linda was the poet I'd been searching for so long!
Now, since I am so in love with her work I have this question: where can I find more of it?
I obviously have a copy of my beloved GOOBERZ, and just today I ordered Venus Trines at Midnight. I've read the poem in her "Spring Letter" (are there any other letters?), and as far as I have heard about Twelfth Night Secrets, it can't be published (but I would be more than willing to type it for you all if I could see the manuscript!). If there is anything I missed it's because I don't know about it, so please someone tell me!!!!!! Maybe someone has unpublished poems she wrote?

Hi Jason,

There's also a book, "Linda Goodman's Love Poems". It's out of print, but check your library. My county library has 1 copy. My friend has it, and I think she got it from a used bookstore. I actually like it better than Venus Trines.

I did some research and B&N has one copy available for about $15, so I'll try to talk my mother into it tonight...unless one of you steals it from me ). Now, is that it? $17.50 at http://www.alibris.com - just type in Linda Goodman and you'll find so many of her books there! I'll search for more and see if they have it somewhere a bit less expensive.

the only thing i see is "love poems" under linda goodman, for $22. is that it?

There are lots of books by her, but only one Love Poems, and it's for $17.50 so I really don't know what you mean by the $22 one! Did you use the long link I gave you? I tried clicking on it from the site so I know it works, and should bring you directly to that particular book I'm talking about. Of course if you mean with shipping and all, that could be it, as I didn't check for the shipping rates. But the purchase price itself should be only $17.50 so click on that long link and check again. I understand how it might be hard to convince your Mom to get you that, so I'm tryin got find a cheaper one, but it seems the cheaper stores don't have it 'coz it's out of print, and is now considered a "rare" book. If I find a cheaper one, I'll let you know and even if you already bought that one, maybe you could sell it on another site for the same price you paid for it! That way everyone's happy. I hope you convince her!

Well! Some people sure aren't being nice around here - I checked to see if there was more than one (I may have missed one, and since they have the same books for so many different prices, why not that one too?), and guess what? It's gone! That long link I gave you now leads to some other page. I guess there are more people desperate for that book too. I suppose I'll have to look for one and keep the info to myself about where it is! If I do find another one (I tried for hours yesterday to find another one so you could have more choices on the price), I'll post the fact here but I'll e-mail the info to Gregory so he can pass it on to you. Sorry, some people just have colder hearts than others!

A wee thought here....

When you find a poet you feel in tune with, it is because it eminates something from within yourSELF. The words are stating merely what you wish yourself you could say.

True love cannot be covered by any words, none have been invented that can really qualify the emotions, however, a poet who can relate to nearly, like Lina, keeps the soul happy.

Apart from Linda receiving pleasure from the fact her words are loved by so many, I am sure like most poets, what would have inspired her and pleased her the most, was if she could be the catalyst to all the poets within us coming out from within ourSELVES.

Read Linda's, then let yours flow. Add beautiful words to the universe rather than just sharing the same ones time and time again. If I were a poet that is what would make me the most proud of my work, if it could bring out the poet in others ie. the day another beautiful and understanding poet emerges and they say in the introduction to their book "I got my inspiration to write from within from Linda Goodman".

The best way to start is to immediately write down your own words and feelings right after reading a poem which touches you, by Linda. Then make that into a poem....thus..

Even better leaving them till the next day
When you need some special words to say
Go to sleep asking for the words to flow
Wake up.......and off you go!
