Hi Tish
Dreams about teeth are really common (although I've never had one myself). Here is a link to an old thread about them:

And just for the heck of it here are a couple more that came up in my "teeth" search:

I'm flattered that you're asking for my advice...
I don't understand my own dreams sometimes!
I'm like you, I don't remember mine very well...I seldom have an actual nightmare, I mean nothing obviously frightening happens, yet there is always deep anxiety in them...
What struck me about the images you described is just a sense of futility, like you keep trying and trying and never getting anywhere...
I remember noticing somewhere on another thread that you said you feel as if you have never met a real soulmate...
And when I read that part about taking the masks off it came flying back to my mind...plus the spending the night in a strange house...being physically close to people that you aren't emotionally close to, that you don't really know...
Could it be you just don't feel close enough to the people in your life? That you don't really feel as if you connect with them deeply, as if you don't really know who they are inside?
The doors...you keep opening one after another, but you never really get inside...
Symbolism is always personal and can mean different things to different people...but water tends to represent the emotions...so maybe there is a huge wave of emotion building up inside you, that you don't want to give in to?
What would it mean to you if that wave were to catch up with you? What do you feel would happen?
Oh I just found the new posts...
I agree with what Di said, it's like you never quite get to the "bottom" or the end of things, always something more unveiling itself...always going through layer upon layer and never reaching the core...
In a sense that is just part of life, we are always kept in mystery about some things...
But on a personal level of course we all want to feel a sense of solidity, a sense of sureness and knowing...
The ocean also symbolizes mystery...a place where all is quiet and you are faced only with the knowing and unknowing of your own self...being in the depths (the womb) of your own soul...surrendering...
So my thoughts are...maybe you have resisted going into your own depths, and so the depths have risen up to come after you...and the longer you resist it, the more doors, the more masks you have to go through...
Maybe you feel diconnected from others...because you are not grounded in the depths of your own self, in your own knowing?
I'm just taking this off the top of my head so if it doesn't sound right to you just discard it.
