Hi Tinkerbell and Moon Goddess...

nice to see you again!

I am in Greece at the moment Tinkerbell... Where are you? I thought that most other people would be in America and that my daytime would be pretty much their night and the other way around but i see that there are many different nationalities and countries here! Isn't that good?

Diane, i really like your lexigrams... Isn't if funny how you got words that are totally different to the ones i did? Perhaps i would have "found" the words you did too if i had spent longer over the lexigram but they are certainly not the ones that popped into my mind first of all...

I am sure that i will learn from you and others here.

Best Wishes,
xxx

Hi Fuschia

Nice to see you again

Believe me I'm an absolute begginer - but the practice is good - its so nice to share with people that can relate. If you're interested in Lexi's - I could give you the web address of a good site.

I bet it's warmer in Greece than here in the U.K. - we're covered in snow - hope to see you again

Love
Diane

Hi Moon Goddess,

thanks, that'd be cool! ( the site info, i mean...)

It probably is warmer here than it is there if it is covered in snow there... It is still quite cold here though - very biting.
I much prefer the summer...

Take care,
Fuchsia

Hi Lis,

just cold...
Sometimes it snows but it is quite rare... It snows in the mountains around Athens of course but rarely in the city.

UK is cold all the year round isn't it?! I've never been, would love to visit one day...

See you,

Thanks a lot Fuchsia and Diane!
That was a really quick response!I wish I could have been equally quick in thanking you. Unfortunately,my computer needed to see the doctor. But, better late than never!
Fuchsia, you're right about the different words people come up with for the same name.
I remember reading in Star Signs that you find only those words which you need to know at that point of time, depending on what message you need to know at that time. And it is equally true that different people will see different messages in the same word.
Personally, I was able to come up with a lot of words myself but I couldn't put them together to form some sort of sane message. Either my sentences were silly(like THE CAT SAT) or something negetive. Like the word CHEAT.
Diane, you're pretty good at this. Can you come up with some more sentences? I find that it is more difficult for me to be objective, while doing a lexigram for my own
name. So, a neutral view would definitely help.BTW,'eyes' seem to be the central theme in the messages you got. 'a cute set'! I think 'a spooky set' would be more appropriate considering that I'm a Scorpio.
'teaches eyes','eyes see ecstasy';what do I teach eyes? to see? see what? beauty(an artist)? Nature(a tour guide or an environmentalist)? the truth(writer or teacher)?Lots of questions I have to ponder over! Thanks Diane, for revealing them to me.
Here are some of the words I found in my name, excluding the ones you two have already found:
ETC,HATS,SAUTE,CATS,SUET,AH,AS,USHA(that's a feminine name), SECT, SUE, HUE, HATE, CUE, TAU,CASES,CASH,ASHES,CUTS,ASSET,HA,HEE,TASTE,
UTAH,HUSH,SASH,CHEETAH(that's what a classmate in school called me, when he was angry with me ),SEATS,TATE(as in Pop Tate in Archies comics),SHUTS,SUTTEE,ESHA(another feminine name),STY,EH,SETH(an Indian surname), SHETH(ditto),TEA,HAUTE,SEETA(yet another fem. name), THETA, ACTS, TACT, TEETH,EAST,CYST,YATCH,HATCHES,ACT(as in Law),
CUTEY,TEE,CASTE,HASTY,TASTY,ACHY,ACUTE,ATTEST,HATH
That's a long list. With so many words I expected to get atleast one lexigram
But, I think you girls can do a better job than me. After all, this is my 1st attempt.
Thanks again! And I hope to learn some more from you!
Luv,
EagleOverTheSea.

Hi EagleOverTheSea

That was just a couple of lines with a quick look/can you double check you are definately using the right letters:- I know they dont use all the letters here/if you dont want to post on the forum please can you do it like this/name as on birth certificate - so as in EAGLE OVER THE SEA....lay it out like this:_
AEEGL EORV EHT AES.....that way I know if I can use 2 of the same letter/if it appears twice in one word as in EE/EAGLE.

I tend to relate EYES/EYE to 'inner'....remember "Eyes are the windows of the soul..."

SETH/was the third son of Adam (I'm not up on the bible) but I believe he was a great TEACHER...which led (my CATS EYES....we share that in our names)....(people refer to mine as scary )THY EYES SEE HATE.....CASTETH HATE....TEACH A CASTE....TEACH A SECT....A HATE TEST CEASES...HATE IS A TEST....ECSTACY IS A STATE.....CATS EYES CHAT SEE???

Its a bit deep and although it might not contain complete sentances - I just let it carry me like a journey, which we are ey?? Looking into our souls journey

As for whoever called you CHEETAH when he was angry with you/maybe his inner eye was seeing your - what do you call them? Is it Totem Spirit?/you know the animal that protects you in Spirit? he was probably doing you a favour A CHEETAH/A CAT ACTS AS EYES...CHEETAH/CAT CASTETH HATE...

See what you think.....hey and have you got a STASH of CASH?.........maybe the last life eh

Love
Diane

Hi Diane!
I'm not sure what difference this will make but here goes:
(EDITED!)
Maybe you can explain more to me.
And, yes about the boy who called me Cheetah;
I think he did it just to make me angry and the reason why he came up with that particular word was b'coz my name sounds a bit like Cheetah. But yes, it is quite possible that his Higher sElf was at work. I think the Native Americans call those totem figures 'Animal Spirits'. I'm not sure though.
Thanks for trying some more. Though I'm not sure I follow it all. But, yes I know what it means when you say "thy eyes see hate".
Diane if I call you Scary Eyes and you call me Spooky Eyes we'll end up sounding like a girl band
Luv,
EagleOverTheSea.

Hi spOOky,

OK, first off the letters we should be using are ACEHSTTUY - some people Lexi with all letters and are emphatic that you use all letters/others will only use a letter twice if if appears twice in one name part/hard to explain but I'll try/will take some looking at:-

DIANA MOON GODDESS
AADIN MNOO DDEGOSS....two AA's in one name part (each seperate name is a name part) two DD's in goddess so that cancels out D in first name part(diana)one E one G one I one M only one N in each of first two nameparts so can only use once two O's in moon that cancels out O in goddess two SS's....its hard to explain I hope I've done it Ok......I think that way it carrys the say souls inner message..using the whole name carries a more broader aspect - so I think we was meant to work on all of it first of all and then we can look inwards - take a look of what Tink has posted on other thread in Words and Numbers/posted at 2.58 and answer on that thread if you like - I think it will help get the flow of the Lexi's/I really am learning as well/very much a beginner/its something that I've done since I first read Starsigns in "87 but have never shared it in this way and I am seeing that we are all different and like Fuschia says we see different things/I think depending say what soul level we are at??....as I said I really am a beginner - I was reluctant re: the EYES SEE HATE, I was tuning into the EARTH - see EARTH contains HATE - do you see what I mean?I didnt mean you was HATEing so to speak - I was tuning into that your soul has the capability to TEACH the EARTH not to HATE - see what you think of Tink's post Gee I'm so impressed with that.....see how it relates to her name.....now there (Tink) is a Spice Girl if ever there was one......lets see if we can come up with a suitable name for her

Love
SCARY

thread I am referring to is "lioneyes"......another big CAT ey??

Hi Diane, hi Eagle Over The Sea...

I had a look at the new words that you found eagle Over the Sea and i had some difficulties too making sentences. I am really new at doing this and i just do it for fun so...

Mine are not so deep.

But some are fun! Here some are then:

she has such cute eyes
she chats at tute (tutorial...)
she hates sects
she has say. Astute say.
she has cute ass! Taut tush!
See, Hear, taste, chat ( there's only one missing...)
she sees easy
she acts (with) tact
He hates her. He says Cheetah. He teases her.
she shy
she has acute hear
cheetah has acute hear
she has ears to hear the sea. She has ecstacy... (water sign...)
she sat at hut
has cases of cash! ( that would be nice...)
assets has she...

There's lots more...

teaches ease
hatches cash
cheats at test?
ace at chess?

Say cheese

!!

Hi Scary! (honestly though, Diane is a much better name)
I understood what you explained to me.You use a letter only those many times as it appears in every part of the name.e.g. if , A appears once in the 1st name and twice in the last name, then you can use A only twice, not thrice.Right?
I'm curious to know where you learnt this rule.I couldn't find it in Star Signs.
I will check out Tink's post.As far as a name for Tink is concerned, how about "Fairy Spice" (or "Fairy Eyes", if she wants to join our little band! )

Hi Fuchsia!
Those lexis were great!
I do hate sects and castes and all other things that divide people.
Cute Ass! LOL. I wish!
I am shy, but I'm quite a chatterbox when I'm with friends.I also have hyperactive tastebuds,(now you know why I don't have a cute ass!)
I don't see easy, unfortunately. I have Myopia(short-sightedness).I'm also a little tactless at times. So I guess, the message for me here, is to try and improve on these things.
I love the sound of the sea, though. You can figure that out by my username here.
And I think I might end up making loads of money, someday! I just have to figure out what those ASSETS are.Maybe I should learn Chess afterall. And yes I did cheat on a Minor test once, but never had the guts to try it during exams.
This is loads of fun!I really must try to do some on my own.
Love and CHEESE!
Sp ky!

Hi Eagle Over the Sea,

very nice to talk to you...

I think you are very much on the right track with thinking about what your assets might be, cause you surely have a lot. The stuff you said about beauty (artist) nature (environmentalist or tour guide) the truth (writer or teacher - to which i would add psychologist, councellor healer etc...?) All of these professions overlap to varying degrees too... You have that great word TEACH in your name too which can go with so many things... (including all of the above, both directly - as an actual teacher- and indirectly - teaching others as a side effect of who you are...)

These are obviously things that you have thought about and they are all great. I do not know you and cannot say what you would be suited to doing but i do know that if you keep looking wherever you can and have the opportunity to then you will surely find the answer. ( Including INSIDE yourself as well outside yourself...) Just be careful who outside yourself you ask and always double check any answers you get with yourself to see how you feel about them.

Thanks for letting me do some lexigramming for you, i really enjoyed it. Please let us know what you come up with yourself if you feel like it and/or any other help i can give please feel free to ask.

And about your ass. Are you sure it's not cute? ( as women we tend to have a very critical eye on our bodies and i have it on very good info that a negative body image is the thing that can most get in the way of a woman's spiritual progress...)

So good for you, you are doing very well,

it was very nice to talk to you and keep searching!

One more thing! I looked at Star Signs myself and couldn't find anything about the rule Diane was talking about. Linda appears to have used each letter as many times as it appeared in the WHOLE phrase, not in each part of the phrase. Her examples show this too. Where did you get your new info Diane?
Personally i would trust Linda's take on the whole thing unless you got it from a very good source. Did you get it from that web site that you were telling me about?

take care,

Fuchsia

Hi Fuschia and EagleOverTheSea

If you look in Lovers Garden/look for my post to Auriel "Dear Auriel, Can you help"
1-26-2001 1.23pm - I asked Auriel about how many letters you should use, the way I am doing it here is the way that I have been advised Fuschia from the Lexi Master at the site I gave you - I was aware that Auriel is on his research team and just thought I'd pop the question whilst on another subject - you can see her reply........I must be honest I am as confused and I will post Jason one of these days as I have come across another site on the WWW that is emphatic you use *all* letters and insists that this is what Linda did - I dont want to press the issue with anyone...it was the very first thing I asked when I posted on Words and Numbers.....I still haven't had a full reply to my question "Guidelines for Lexigrams/Numerology" (see towards bottom of Words and Numbers)........maybe someone will see this and offer an expanation......

Must dash....hope you are both well

Lots of Love
Diane

P.S. If you notice Linda doesnt actually state anywhere in Star Signs which letters she is working with - In the MARY MAGDALENE example on page 390 .....MANY MEN *DAMNED* MARY....I cant see two *D*'s in MARY MAGDALENE ....I really will post Jason....unless Pat is lOOking in??

Hey Listen....forget the Girl Band....you two up for Charlies Angels??

Wheres Charlie........

Hi Diane,

i see what you mean about not getting an answer - unless Morning Storm said something more to you in her e-mail...

The examples i have seen in Star Signs eg. p.337 Ms. Gloria Steinem = Gloria Smites Men (note the two s' in "smites")tell me that you can use the letters of the whole phrase. See also rule 1 on page 335.

You're right though about the two Ds in your example not occuring anywhere in Mary Magdalene...

This is not to say either that there may be an even better way of deciphering lexigrams, it's just that i personally would have to really trust the the source KNEW because until them i have Linda's authority to go on and i see her as pretty accurate. Whoever else tells me otherwise will have to be at least as accurate if not more than her!

I hope someone can answer our question.

I will keep looking into it...

I am into the Charlie's Angels thing! I used to LOVE them when i was about 8 years old... I haven't seen the movie have you? I thought it might be ok but all the reviewers trashed it. Can i be the Angel with the shoulder length black hair ( i don't look like that but she was always my favourite...)Sabrina?
I can't even remember her name.

I say we trash Charlie and start to work for ourselves too... He never tells us who he is anyway... Unless of course he is really nice and a great help...(ican't remember what he was like... I just liked the bods and the costumes i think...)

So, keep well,
Hi Tink too...(!!??)
and hi Eagle Over the Sea

lots of
Fuchsia

Hi Fuchsia!
To tell you the truth, all those thoughts about Beauty,Nature and Truth just popped into my head when I read the lexigrams about 'Eyes'. Though I must admit, as a child I loved to play 'teacher',but that was mostly confined to imitating my teachers who I thought were perfect beings who could never be wrong and writing has also attracted me lately, though I don't know if I can make a good writer. BlakeHeart told me that mercury in the 12th house (which is what I have) means the person may have the potential to write. Note the word 'may'. I think Tinkerbell said on her Pluto thread that mercury in 12th means the person tends to keep his mouth shut!(that is a problem I have had lots of times.)Hmmm...
Finding my mission in life is one of my biggest worries. I don't want to miss the bus! So I hope I have my eyes wide when opportunity comes knocking on my door!
About my ass, if I say I have a cute one, I would be CHEATing not only you, but also myself, trust me.I guess, it is just one of the things I have to work on May be someday I'll give Jennifer Lopez a run for her money I really hope none of my friends see this! lol.

Hi Diane!
I agree there is a lot of confusion on the issue of the number of letters to be used! I wish there were some definite answer. But I think it is up to each individual to use whatever method they are comfortable with. I vote for Linda's method. It makes more sense to use the exact number of letters in your name. I feel it sort of personalizes the lexigrams.

A Big Thank-You to both of you for helping me! And I will be sure to ask you the next time, I need help.

Hi TinkerBell!
I see you started the thread on 12th house stelliums. I'm heading straight to that thread, now.

Great, Eagle over the Sea...

You work on what you need to and don't worry about missing the bus, trust me, that NEVER happens. That is not to say be lazy, do what you can, but if something is right for you you will know it and it will wait...

I used to worry all the time about missing the bus and i still do sometimes ( but not nearly as much...). I know it did me no good to worry that's for sure! And it didn't bring me any more buses either. Just keep looking in areas that interest you...

I used to worry about my ass too but now not so much... so trust you can work on that too (exercise, diet etc...)

So, i better go before i tell you my life story!

Take care,
and would be happy to help again if needed.
As you can see i am not so into astrology because i don't know so much about it yet but i am happy to help with lexis and numbers if i can...

Fuchsia, You make me

O.K. here's how you do the s.

Wherever you want the image to appear in your post, type: . Remember not to leave any spaces or you will get a link to the image like the one above, instead of the image. And yes do leave space before the , like you do for the smilies. I hope I'm not confusing you!

You can post other images in this manner. All you need to find out is the images' URL.
Whenever you find an image that you would like to include in your posts, just right-click on it and a menu will appear. Select the Properties option and you will get all the info about the image including the name and URL. Just copy the URL, and you can post the image anytime you feel like, in the manner I described.
Now lets see you do that!

Hi Diane!

I've never tried posting images before!
I wonder why? Maybe I waited so we could do it together?

Hey Eagle Over the Sea...

that is one cute cat!

Isn't it cool that you have now put a graphic in a post? It often works that way... When we help others it often comes straight back at us! And isn't it fun to share? And yes i would agree that it is easier to lexi someone elses name than your own... Perhaps we are less critical of others (or someone we've just met - like falling in love...) perhaps we are more open to surprises and maybe it's just plain harder to be objective about ourselves. I'm sure it would get easier with practise though!

Don't know if you made the comment about this on this thread or the other! Oh well, no matter...

Take care,

lots of

Fuchsia

Hi Fuchsia!

She is cute! I like the cow-beanie,even more!
And yes, maybe I'll get better at lexing my name, with practice. I hope to get started on it soon. Somehow, I don't feel the urge right now. Maybe, I need to practice on others, till I have enough experience about the behaviour of the word-elves,then I will be objective enough to do my own name.

Hey,BTW, are you really Greek or do you just live in Greece?

No Problem, Carrie! I can wait. It's just that I'm not very good at handling suspenses. And I'm really curious about what you will come up with.

Hi everyone!!!

I will post some of your lexis soon Sucheta. And Sonia, lexi is short for lexigramming. It is where you try to find words hidden within your name. Like with my name, Carrie, care is hidden within it. Linda Goodman wrote about it in her Star Signs book. I'm sure there are other people on this site who can explain it better then I can, so why don't you ask them.

Hi Sonia!

Chapter 8 of Linda Goodman's Star Signs talks about Lexigrams. According to Linda each word has a hidden message. The same is true for names. Names can reveal a lot about the person. The lexigram for Hitler's name is particularly interesting. You should get yourself a copy of the book. It's really good!
Meantime, you can learn by studying the lexi threads in this forum. I think there is a link to a lexi site in one of the threads. I haven't checked it out, so I can't tell you about it.
Basically, what you do to lexi a name (or word or phrase)is to form as many words with its letters as you can find. Then try to put these words together, using your intuition, to get some messages. Remember to write these words in Capital letters.
There are some basic rules to be followed though!
1. You can use a letter in Each word only as many number of times, as it appears in the original word, phrase or name. For e.g. from SONIA, you can form SON, but not SOON as SONIA contains only one O.
2. The original word, phrase or name should contain a max. of 4 vowels. 3 or less is preferrable, but 4 will do.
3. The original word, phrase or name should not contain more than 15 Different letters of the alphabet. For e.g. EAGLE OVER THE SEA
contains 10 Different letters :
E A G L O V R T H S
which is acceptable.
I just checked my copy of Star Signs. There's another rule, I forgot to mention.
4.Each letter in your lexigram must be contained in the original word, phrase or name. You may add 'a', 'the', or 'but' in parenthesis() and in lower case, to add more meaning to your sentences. But, don't tamper with them unnecessarily by adding your own letters.

Carrie, I think, I broke the last rule while doing your lexis. I'll correct them immediately.

Oh, and Sonia, if you want to lexi a person's name, use the full name, not just the first name.

I hope, this is enough to get you started, but it's better if you get a copy of Star Signs. And don't forget to lexi my name.

Hi Sucheta!!!

I finally have your lexis!!! Here are the words I got from your name:

CHEAT, ACE, HAS, THE, CAT, HAT, ASTUTE, YET, CHAT, USE, EYES, HE, SHE, HATE, YES, SEAT, HEAT, CAUSE, CUTE, SAY, SET, TEASE, SAT, TASTE, CEASE, CHASE, CHESS, TEST, HEY, HAY, STAY, SEA, CASE, HUSH, HUT, CUE, CUSS, CUT, STRAY, ASTRAY, TEA, CHASTE, HASTE.

She has heat.
She teases.
She hates cats (? Do you?)
She hates cheats.
She causes heat.
She causes hate (? I doubt that.)
She's cute.
She has taste.
She ceases hate.
She has a cat (? Do you?)
She hates chess (?)
She sets taste (Fashion wise maybe?)
She chases cause.
She has a cute hat.
She tests ace.
She hates tests.
She chases the cat.
She cuts the chat. (lol. This goes along with our scorp rising discussion.)
She has a stray cat.
She hates stray cats.
She cues the sea.
She hates the heat.
She has the sea, yet uses the heat.
She hushes the hut.
She has tea. (Tea is a big export in India right?)
She's chaste.
She stays set. (? I was thinking that maybe you are set in your ways????)
She's hasty.

Hi i didnt get to finish reading the posts in this thread but did you ever get the answer to the questions about which letters to use ?

I did post this question a while back LOL more than a year ago ...

ok following Linda's rules she uses every thing whichs is fine and often if you try to take something what has the double within a word of a phrase or name

there are two ways of doing the lexigrams

if the name is say Allison Krauss
you can use the letters as Linda has it in Star Signs
they would be AAIKLLNORSSSU

the Research Team you were refering to uses the method that can be described on the web site www.goodworksonearth.org

and the letter sequence would be
AIKLLNORSSU

I have done the lexigrams using both methods and have found that they each work .. and very often you can find that the words will find a different way of saying the same thing

I did the Lexigram for Winter Solstice and found that i could say the same things using both methods if i changed the words and sentances around.

so the answer is you can use all the letters the way it is out lined in chapter 8 of Star Signs

or you can take you letter sequence by using only the double letters if the letters are doubled within a name

Also i have lexigram'ed names with All 5 vowels and found LOL that i have a friend who has 5 vowels in her name and she actually has a smaller word list than a name that had only 2 vowels ... it would not only depend on the vowels but also on the consonants and which ones are being used.

LOL have i helped or just added to the confusion ?

Many blessings

lia

Thanks Carrie!

Your list of words looks more similar to mine than any other list on this thread!

Wow, are you a cat-lover or something? The cat theme was repeated so often. Personally, I'm not very crazy about cats. They remind me of arrogant people I'm also scared of their claws uch!: So, naturally, I don't have pet cats. But,I had a friend in school who Adored cats! She's had pet cats all her life. Frankly, I don't know how she enjoyed it. She was always covered with scratches and had torn pages in her textbooks, all thanks to Tiny Tot, her cat. About causing hate,hmmm....possible,since I'm a double Scorp! Linda said, we either make people adore us or absolutely hate us!
I don't set trends, my dear! Infact, I'm quite a slob when it comes to fashion! I feel there are a lot more interesting things in life, than following the latest (uncomfy) fashion. All I can say to people who think of nothing but clothes is, Get A Life! So may be SETS TASTE means something else.
What do you mean by CUTS THE CHAT?
Yes, tea is a big export for India. But I drink "tea-flavoured milk" and only, once a day.
Right again, I am a bit set in my ways. Again a Scorp influence;but it could refer to the famous Scorpio will- power too! Something I need to make use of more often.
SHE'S HASTY! lol. I am a lot of times.

Thanks again!

Hi Sucheta!!!

Well, the reason I asked about the cats so much is because I was trying to figure out if you hated them or liked them. You obviously hate them. lol. I, on the other hand LOVE cats!!! But you see, I had a nice cat who didn't tear up anything, and would actually come and sit in our laps. I had her since I was 3 years old, but she died a couple years back.

When I said "cuts the chat" I was talking about cutting down on the chit chat. You remember how we were talking about how Scorp risers only talk if we have something to say? Well, that's what I mean. lol.

Anyway, I gotta go, so I'll talk to you later!!! Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Carrie

O.k. now I get it! I do cut the chat; it's a struggle to avoid looking bored with small talk. But, I'm working on it.

I'm sorry about your pet cat! You really were lucky to have such a sweet cat. What did you call her? You had her since you were 3? Do cats live that long? I don't "hate" cats! I'm just not a cat-lover

'Appy Valentine's day to You too!

I posted a reply to your query about posting images, in the "Desperately Seeking Darwin" thread on the star chat forum. But, for some reason my post wouldn't appear. I hope this one does.

Sorry about the name, Eagle. Hadn't meant to but since I copy-pasted from MS Word, must've used the select-all option. Sorry.

About mine, it means Jiski Ninda Nahi Ki Jaati
