As many of you have pointed out, it's time to do a spring cleaning on our discussion forums -- clean out the cobwebs, polish up some dusty old threads, toss out what isn't working. So over the next couple of hours I'll be doing just that. Among other cleanup tasks, I am removing the various threads of discord and bickering that had crept up over the past few weeks -- we don't need that energy around to distract us from sharing Linda's vision and love. If you find that any of your posts have been deleted, please don't take it personally, I'm just erasing all the threads of discussion that led nowhere happy and useful. Many of the individual posts in these threads were not negative at all, but they wouldn't make any sense standing by themselves without the rest of the discussion; I'm actually deleting a lot of my own posts like this, too. So, here's to a clean(er) slate and a load off our backs. Please remember that we DO have rules of etiquette for proper posting (which are displayed when you register), but even more important than that, we have a common vision of love and respect that should guide ALL our posts. Please look closely at every post you make before sending it off. If it doesn't say "love" to the other people who read it, in SOME way, then it's probably not a good post for this forum. Thanks all for respecting this, and for pulling together to keep Linda's loving vision alive and well on this site. Greg

Greg, How about a mandatory email that goes out to all junior members, that spells out certain rules that, if broken, result in immediate expulsion from the site. No questions, no explanations...simply, if there is no love, and any hostility, there will be no post. That way, new members, or old ones who seek to disguise their identities with a new screen name, will be clear that any mean stuff and zap!...bu-bye! That would be a Website Suggestion that would go a long way to nipping the hostility in the bud. And perhaps you could send an email to all former and present members that spells out the rules you have enunciated (basically, "no love, no posts, no questions"), so that they will be clear, just in case they do not, or say they did not, read this thread. You have my total support, and I know that you and others know that I only jump on people if they start first. Yet two wrongs don't make a right, and maybe my (and others)words just encourage more hostility. Another Suggestion is that no one be able to express their opinion about what another does here, to anyone but you. So if someone posts on, say, analyzing a Venus Trines poem, then no one is allowed to say that they don't like it, think it is unimportant or moot, or any comment whatsoever that does not further the thread. Linda taught us about spiralling upward, so if that is not the ONLY aim of all subsequent posts on a thread (ALL threads, in my opinion), then no post will be allowed that does not achieve this. So while one may not be able to express all love all the time (although the intent should definitely be there), then one must at least somehow further a thread, or necessarily risk being expelled completely. I hope you find my suggestions useful, and I am happy to see you doing this much-needed Spring cleaning. Blessed Be!! Love, Carlo

Carlo, you make me laugh! (that was a compliment.) A welcoming email for new members with the "rules" might be a good idea ... but as far as the content of the rules goes, I really think "speak only love" about covers it.

Hi Greg and Knowflakes!!!! ********Im starting with the stars!Heres to PEACE,NO SARCASM,NO TIFFS,LOVE AND HEALTHY DISCUSSIONS!!! Iam ABSOLUTELY with Carlo when he says that we should stick to our own.Why should anyone interfere with what someone wants to do or dont? You cant correct them and they cant correct you.its just a matter of opinion.Carlo,u have me with you on that totally. And as for handling barbed remarks yourself,i suggest we go to you about it Greg?As a result this discussion dosent end up negatively,or just write personal emails. But on NO account should we take ANY remark or post personally.I admit,i have done it but i see people still doing it. CHEERS to spring cleaning and its a great idea!!Please....lets just...totally leave out this bickering.I hate being involved in it and im sure you guys do too but we have ended up that way,the most patient of us.Just goes to show the power of negativity....and on a site dedicated to love???NO,lets CLEAN up,whitewash it....and make a pledge...to NOT under ANY circumstance bicker or fight. Greg,i think the idea of Carlo about the rules for members is a BRILLIANT idea!!I think we should do it and also of course as u have stated earlier, just delete the malignant posts. Love and peace, peace, peace!!!!! shagun.

Hi Gregory, Here is a suggestion that would be about Spring Cleaning, save you a few megs, and make the site prettier looking altogether... I think it is both bogus and sad how we cannot edit our posts, just to insert one freakin' letter that we, as humans, may have missed, without coming up with "This message has been edited by..." and then the date it was edited. Greg, no offense, but it is LAME-O!!! And you know what...we ALL probably agree, even though a flurry of posts may arrive saying the opposite, now that I have taken the liberty to speak for everyone who has edited one post, and definitely everyone who has edited the same post twice. Do you think that there is anyone brave enough (and I'm one of the bravest you got) to edit...gasp...the same post three times?? Wake the kids and phone the neighbors, Karen, look at this!!! A crazy person just edited his post three times!!!!! Can you pleeeease look into this?? Could you give us at least ONE free edit before we get that damn thing on our posts? Just venting, because it just kills me when I miss one letter or two, and I KNOW-flake that others will heartily concur. So instead of calling on others to tell you this also...could you please meditate on it for a bit, and maybe then release us from the agony of making little mistakes...it would at least add a few years to all the Virgos' lives!! Thanks man, for whatever you can do, Blessings, Carlo P.S...Here is a demonstration of my bravery...everybody watch, as I humble myself by admitting that I, Carlo, actually make mistakes in my posts which must then be edited more than once. P.P.S...'nuff said? Gregory, I am with Carlo on the editing of our messages...I find that quite often I may misspell a word or leave out a letter, or even forget to put in a sentence. Yet it may appear to others that we are editing the content of the message. I would really appreciate it if we could find a solution to this problem Don't cha just love those "Leo" theatrics?!!! love and light, Karen

Hmmm, I'll see what I can do. Give me a little time to plow through my scripts, and I'll try to ease the annoyance. 'Course in the meantime, you COULD use it as an opportunity not to post in haste!

Crossed posts, Karen. Yep, it's better than the circus! Seriously, I will try to fix it.

Okay, done and done. You can now edit away to your heart's content without suffering the slings and arrows of outrageous edit messages.
