I thought I would post this reminder because it's come up a few times recently -- many members would like to correspond privately with other members, and that's great! However, we ask that you DO NOT POST YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS ON THE FORUMS. Instead, you may contact any member by sending a message c/o LGWebsite@LindaGoodman.net . We will forward your message to the person you want to contact, and they can reply to you with their email address if they wish.

We apologize for any inconvenience this causes to anyone, but we have learned through experience that it is the wisest policy to protect all of our members. Many people do not realize that when you post an email address here, it is visible not only to other members but to everyone on the internet ... unfortunately everyone on the net doesn't always have honorable intentions, and there have been a few incidents of this information being abused or used to bother or harass members.

This way, you can contact anyone you want to (who WANTS you to , without making your private email address available to everyone in the world. We very much appreciate everyone's understanding and adhering to this policy.

Thank you. I wasn't sure about posting my address, but thought since we have to have a User name and Password that maybe nobody else could read the messages, except Academy members. What is the next step, do we erase/edit our e-mail addresses off of the thread?

Just wanted to bring this back up to call everyone's attention to our email policy, since some of the newer members may not be aware of it.

You can send a PM (Private Message) to anyone on the forums by clicking on the envelope icon above their post (and exchange emails that way if you want to) -- but keeping personal email addresses off the public forums is for everybody's good. There are a lot of folks out there these days who "harvest" email addresses from websites at random and use them for sending out commercial spam or other objectionable messages -- and there's always the random weirdo out there that you really don't want to hear from!
