Do you think the Star Ratings System feature enabled on many of these user forums boards are a good thing or a bad thing

It only takes one Judge to stick a 3 or 4 Star Rating on another Member for that Member then to be stuck with it

In time a 2 or 3 Star Rated Member could come to feel Inferior to a 4 or 5 Star Rated Member and prehaps retire from the Community altogether

Have you past experience of the user Ratings system on these boards as IT`s a feature I`m thinking of disabling but not sure

I don't suppose there's any harm in it, but it seems a little silly for folks to compete for "best poster" honors, whatever that might mean!

I`d agree with you that it probably does more harm than Good but I don`t think it makes any difference at the Moment

It's nice to see you back in as your 'real' identity.

I like your website, BTW. But I think member-ratings are over-rated, and can easily cause misunderstandings and hurt feelings. At least on this board we can all be Stars
